Have been using it since release. I am a guitarist in a very well known WORLD WIDE rock band. I do have a couple of true pro studio apps that we all (band members) use in the studio which interfaces with software we use for recording and producing. They have “sandboxes “ for idea scrap or save. N track does much more aside from the streamlined user interfaces. Two songs from our last release went top ten on American billboard charts, and they were 90% created and premastered using N Track. Thanks guys. In a perfect world you would earning royalties. Sorry this world is so far from perfect. However, your app is just perfect in my JDL world. Again, thanks. (I did contribute funds $$$ to your team. Royalties from me to you). Garage bland and other crapps are better suited for gaming consoles. I never ever write reviews on anything. Humans love to sue so even writing this is ‘on the line’. Can’t use app. I have been paying for n-Track for a long time now but every time I open the app it says I am using the free version and then gives me the option to renew subscription...can’t seem to get around this?...needless to say, I am paying for an app that I can never use...how do I get the product that I have been paying on monthly?

This app is perfect for song writing! But...... .... I wish there a tutorial or something, just hitting buttons to see what happens is one way yes, however I think when you know the reasoning behind a function it helps you to be more efficient as well as effective. Thanks, awesome app though, very cool!

Hard to master?. Thing is, n-Studio has a lot of moving parts which makes the music mastering quite difficult. Perhaps it might be simplified between on the mobile devices?

Good app, please fix this one mistake though.. Everything’s been going great so far since I’ve bought the pro version, despite one issue I have. When you open multiple audio tracks, it will only record over the original track. Before I had the pro I could layer multiple audio tracks and record and the app would know which track is being recorded by simply clicking on that given audio track. Now it doesn’t matter what track I am set in, it only records over the original. Please fix this. Besides that issue I’ve really enjoyed the app.

Allow mp3 files again. This apps used to allow mp3 file types. Now its changed so now I can’t import any mp3 files anymore. The only way around this is to download all of my files again in a different file type like m4a which is not only annoying, but it takes a lot of storage and time. It’s even worse if that different file type is not allowed and I didn’t know about it. Please allow mp3 files type again.

Way better than fl studio. This app actually works very well and is decently cheap to get all the extra features. I’m surprise at how well my iPad Pro can record music using this app!

Once you look into and figure it out, And discover what this daw does you’ll start loving it.. I had N-track on my phone but never used it cause I have GarageBand and Cubasis 3 + ZENBEATS. But at first when I did use it, I would get confused and just use a different Daw I already knew. But after giving it more of a chance and sitting through figuring it out, I say it’s a top 3.Their Factory Equalizer is Visual and the best out there. And cuts out frequencies perfect.I really like their Arpeggiator/Sequencer. You can transpose the audio, Among a list of other things that other mobile Daws can’t do. I wish they can fix the sound tho, sometimes the sound is mumbled on my speaker on my phone but not all the time.

Best DAW and song creator I have used on iOS. The app has its quirks…and takes some time to master (and I am only working so far on audio recordings)…but it has vast power, an intelligent and intuitive interface, and does what you need to do pretty much without fuss. Great DAW!

Could Be Good, Better, Best if…. This app freezes up. I’m using the slider (horizontal) to change the stereo frequencies but the slider is stuck all the way to the righ won’t budge. I open the EQ & hey great info but it won’t move the heck out of my way when I’m fed up with it. It gives “flat vocals” as its starting sound. But hey, there’s like 20_ more sounds to choose from. I choose my usuals that I like, go to do something else in FX & the EQ “meter” plus is back on its standard default of “Flat vocals”. Frustrated. I should be able to get rid of the EQ meter etc. with a swipe, a pointer down, something! I end up shutting down the app to stop that 1 feature AND I’M PAYING FOR THIS! Not for long if bugs aren’t worked out PLEASE!

The ratings must be bots.. There is no way this is as bad as it is and have 4 stars. There is nothing good about this app. I honestly suggest Medly because this app is less user friendly than trying to use cellular data in the 1500s, it’s like trying to make a baby write and essay about its childhood. If you seriously, as a human are thinking of giving this app a rating over 3 stars, i must ask that you try any other music app and see what you’re missing out on.

So-So. Needs a better, smoother MIDI editor/ Piano roll interface. In the piano roll, the bar that shows the measures/beats (the grid) disappears at times. App has moments of being really laggy & slow. The most annoying thing of all is the lack of copy/cut/paste functionality in the piano roll. Other than that, a lot of potential, a lot of good things. Just want some improvements!

N track. Been faithful ever since and always gets the job done love I would write more but the music is calling me🎶

My review. The new update is really not good, denoise is automatically added to almost every track and the reverb won’t lower down. Its also harder to navigate for effects now. I would also like for N-track software to add new features to the mobile app such as the automating effects so the effects can rise and fall at our interest and where we want it.

Update review. I like the update for a number of reasons, but ever since the update, my exported files are sounding way off compared to before! It sounds just right in the daw, then when it’s exported as a wav, it sounds just awful. What changed???

Pure data. Being able to use Pure Data in N-Track is better than amazing!!

Great app for song Writers. Rarely do I write a review but But this application has save me a lot of money and time from traveling to the studio I’m able to collaborate with my producers anytime and it’s great for beginners 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Can’t recommend for recording instruments. I was able to get a decent sounding recording using a couple of the virtual instruments in this app but when I plugged in my interface and recorded a couple of tracks of my guitar, the sound quality was terribly distorted unless I pulled the faders almost all the way down. To make sure I wasn’t doing anything wrong, using the same interface set-up, I recorded to a couple of other very popular iOS recording apps and the improvement in sound quality was quite apparent. So, I would recommend you use something like Cubasis or Garageband if you plan to use audio tracks to record guitars, etc. This app might be okay for strictly virtual instruments, beat-making, etc. but I would definitely recommend you try the free version before buying a subscription.

Good for dark ambient caretaker inspired music. I have not had the app long but I can already tell that once I buy the full version that it is going to help with my type of music as it has lots of customizable settings that can help make great music only downside is that you have to pay

Crashing issues. This app is great. What will make it better is if you can record and leave the app idle. It helps with multitasking. Also the app freezes every time I save a track. This is quite annoying and I can barley make progress. I will definitely change to 5 stars if that bug can be fixed. Thank you

Love N-Track. You guys have come up with a refreshing recording app/program that gets back to the basics of what computer/tablet recording should be (imho). All programs I’ve used on pc and iPad (which is most of them) have gotten so bloated and complex…that sitting down and just being able to record and edit tracks in an easy to use platform has gotten lost. Thanks for bringing back the enjoyment factor again. P.S. Could you guys consider a discount for the tablet app for those who purchased the computer program? Thanks, Mitch Irish

A bit janky. This app is somewhat usable, and updates seem to be coming out every once in a while that help with a few things. But there are so many things about this app that make it hard to use. For example, sometimes it will stop playing sound. I look around for every reason as to why it might just stop playing sound, but find nothing. But if I go into settings, do nothing with the settings, and click apply, it suddenly works after it gives me the message “restarting audio engine.” This is the biggest thing that annoys me. I really hope it gets fixed because this makes it so hard to use.

It would be good. I love it but if I could press a button with out getting kicked out of the game. I just want something to play without being scared to touch a button I thought it was better. I’ve tried to restart the game and look at settings and everything but no nothing works

Bug upon bug. This app is super buggy. The controls freeze over time and there’s no way of unlocking them. Some notes get stuck and play until the app needs to be restarted. The user interface is not intuitive and has a poor layout. You’ll be constantly pressing on wrong buttons accidentally. The sequencer pattern jumps back and forth just to display last step playing. The app also uses unnecessary confusion by using wrong terminology. For example, it refers to kits as “instruments” and it refers to individual instruments within a kit as “notes”.

Excellent DAW, good pricing model. Very capable DAW with a sensible and affordable pricing model - buy the pro version once, or subscribe to Studio for access to tons of online content like instruments, samples, etc. Nice. My only complaint is that the “close” button seems to look different and be in a different location for each dismissible UI widget. That definitely steepens the training curve.

Great alternative app to GarageBand with chance to grow. I am a solid but hardly pro level musician with no recording experience, so I have mostly been composing as a very intermediate songwriter. I have focused on mastering GarageBand so I could eventually upgrade to Logic Pro since it’s setup to segue nicely. Strangely, though, I can’t get the quality of audio on my voice I’d like Even with a great condenser mic, and I hate trying to mix without an actual mixing view in GarageBand. Maddening. So along comes n-track with a free version for me to poke around in on my iPad. My vocals sound waaaay more robust, and the mixing view, well, it exists! I miss the level of drummer loops and different interfaces for drummers that GarageBand had, it’s also pushing me to dig deeper for what’s going to make my songs unique since I can import any tracks and loops along that I’d like. My only frustration so far is not being able to record takes on an existing track. I have to add a track, so it eats up the fluidity of cutting right into a small spot. But that might be my noob status.

Awesome app. This app gets the job done just need the Wright tools to make this work just need a nice usb mixer with interface and an iPad and your set it records really nice did 2 albums with this app and is a steel for the price highly recommend

Keeps Crashing. It seems like a really good app and I was excited to try it but half way through the tutorial it just keeps crashing.

Awesome app but too glitchy. I’m able to import and export and monitor metering, and native plugins are easy to deal with. This is already way ahead of GarageBand for someone who doesn’t need midi instruments to create a song and does not auto-normalize, which is a huge plus for me. My only real complaints are with 3rd party plugins and overall performance. With AU plugins, the program will stall, skip or glitch until you exit the plugin. Also, at least twice a day, the entire app will drop audio and not regain it until you exit completely but then you have to reset all the 3rd party plugin and start the cycle all over again. Otherwise, I’m enjoying how broad of an app this is

Podcast editing. I was looking for something similar to Adobe Audition to edit podcasts with but for on the iPad (since Audition isn’t on the iPad yet) and I love it! Does exactly what I want it to do.

a seriously impressive app. I would rate this 'the most impressive and most importantly the most functional studio app I have found on the app store' out of five stars, not only can you record new audio, you can also add instrumental tracks, and do almost anything to your tracks that you could do in standard computer sound studios and you can save, upload and export your tracks without technical difficulties, which is more than I can say for most. I honestly cannot overstate how impressive and functional this app is, especially considering the amount of audio I can work with while using the free version and while I am using an ancient version of iOS

Would like to try, can’t open. Crashes immediately. Pleas help. Hi! I would love to use this app but it crashes 5 seconds upon loading every time. I’m a long time iOS music maker and I’m trying to give this app a try but it seems imposible at this moment. UNDERRATED IOS DAW!. I recently started using n track on my iPad Pro and i gotta say i love it! I love how modern the mixer and wave forms look compared to other IOS daws. However, I come from a desktop daw workflow so at times it could feel a bit limiting due to only being able to open one plugin at once. If N Track opened AUV3 plugins with a pop up window where the size can be adjusted instead of the current slide up window we have now that’ll be awesome. I would just love to be able to have two plugins side by side. Also the faders on the mixer feel kind of short though N track does offer portrait mode but then less busses fit on screen. Compared to other iOS daws N track is underrated! It supports 3rd party side chaining like Fabfilter Compressor. It just needs a few updates like desktop visual plugin for newer ipad pros and R W automations and being able to automate AUV3s. Thank you to the N Track team for bringing such a modern daw experience to iOS!

Hard to connect with X Air interface. I have been using the app for awhile, and it is good for simple recordings. However, for some reason in does not recognize the X Air. Anyway if ya’ll could fix this it would be much appreciated.

Garbage. Ever wanted to spend the WHOLE day doing basic DAW functions and never spend anytime being creative? Need a DAW that literally does nothing? Do you love having gear that helps you in no way shape or form met your goals or aspirations? Love being hassled to pay money for an app that never once proved itself worthy of your cold hard cash? Oh boy is this app for you! In a matter of seconds after downloading you’ll be on your way to a full day of frustration and wondering to yourself how anyone in their right mind could’ve clear this for download let alone purchase! The N-Track recorder, over complicating music production for your pleasure!

Very sweet the first days then..... The first days were fantastic discovering the instruments loops, the easy way to recording, the pro quality of the sound recorded, then today a window popped out asking me if I like the app so I clicked on "yes I like it" , then asked me to write a review but I didn't. Now I can not keep doing my song cause it is saying "you are using free edition " but on corner at the bottom right side there was a "renew subscription " or something like that. So I clicked on it and a window opened saying " refreshing subscription" and then it said " no subscription found". What did I do wrong . Thumbs down for n -track studio 9. Nothing more to say. I am done with this at least the developers can help me in some way to revert my opinion. Open mind with this issue.

Good app. Love the layout and design, my only issue is that on iphone the midi editor is pretty laggy and hard to control. But then again its a phone. Good job on this daw. I also really enjoy the cloud community through songtree.

Worth it!. This app is great! I’ve tried FL and a few other recording programs but I always find myself coming back to n-Track it’s has Lots of potential! You could really come out with some good material using this. Been using this to record rap and it never lets me down. Only thing that could be better is if it allowed me to download 3rd party plug ins and import. Other than that the effects that come with the monthly subscription of $1 are absolutely worth it. It definitely boosts the quality. Was using my ear pods to record for the longest but I recently bought a microphone to plug into my iPhone and it definitely changed the game. All n-Track needs now is better Autotune/vocal tune or more 3rd party plugins and it’ll be premium!

It’s good, but…. I’m not gonna lie this is a really good app except I have a feeling it’s not really.. meant for mobile. I can’t really set the notes the way I want them to and the bpm literally doesn’t mean anything, despite what I set it to everything is still the same and quite slow. But overall it isn’t bad it just needs a few improvements

Include a NotePad. THIS APP IS AWESOME for me at least I use it a song writer it's perfect. This app is for those who have experience with software such as logic, studio one, the mixing features are great. (I have mixed feeling on how they switched it to manual effect settings. They should allow you to type in some of the different effect features example: if I'm trying to get my echo at 744 I should be able to type that in instead of having to use my finger to narrow it down it's hard to get exactly on lol) for the song writes it would be beneficial to have a notepad or at least be able to go out of the app without closing it out. The problem I have been having is when i write music I write the lyrics on the notepad of my phone and hen I'm ready to record there's nowhere within the app for me to copy what I wrote so I don't have to leave the app. I have to send what I wrote to my secondary device and use that while I record, it would make things a lot easier if it was made more song writer friendly so I could have a place I could read my lyrics off within the app. Other than that this app gets no complaints from me. For a studio app the quality it produced is outstanding

Update: Had to ditch the app. Despite paying monthly for the extra features, I can not export an MP3 file. Client wants this format, and I don’t want to have to export it to another app just to get it to that format. I’m using this app on the latest version of iPadOS. Update: I had to cancel my subscription since I can not export to MP3, and I am forced to have to use another app to convert. Not worth the subscription fee - no matter how small it is.

Loving n-Track during quarantine. Had to find an app to put together our choir hymns for live streaming during COVID-19 quarantine. Came upon n-Track and I love it. Affordable and relatively easy for a beginner to use. I know I will use it even after we get out of this.

The app is almost there. I find the app to have everything i need to produce my beats on the go BUT THE APP ITSELF DOESN'T FIT MY IPHONE XS MAX SCREEN. Sometimes it's okay when I'm using an instrument but when i comes to editing a section or having to delete a section it like my screen is too small for the app and thats very annoying

Really great sound fonts, needs a better layout. So far, I’m really liking this app for its well made orchestral instrument sounds, especially when compared to the passable at best instruments from more popular high budget apps like Garageband. Though I will say the layout could use a lot of tweaks to make more convenient like the one in Garageband. Things like the option of increasing or decreasing the attack for crescendo effects, removing whatever makes chords keep playing a second or two after letting go of the keys, and making the volume of the keys more consistent would help. Also the ability to move the individual parts and more advanced quantization effects (though that could just be me). A lot of the black keys, especially A sharp, are way too quiet and make a lot of compositions awkward. But it’s useful, especially in conjunction with other apps like Garageband or BandLab, all of which I use together.

Meh..... With out a basic tool like a drum sequencer I find the utility of this app to be lacking, in future updates I’d like to see the addition of one added however until then I question if this app is worth using over its competitors that offer more standard tools in the modern era of DAWs such as the aforementioned drum sequencer, it just simply is not practical to use the drum tools offered currently for some styles of music that demand more technical facility

Very disappointed. I have previously purchase N track studio 7 I have previously contacted you an you have not Fix the problem it dose not work I went to use it an now you can’t you have to purchase a new version with what seems like a hook in money extraction plan. I do not like app companies who do not honour previous purchases. So your response is I have to purchase each up grade an will not honour previous version.... Shame on you an your app......

The best free recording app out there. I have been using this for nearly six years and I have enjoyed it the whole time. It’s hard to find a classic four track recorder in a music store let alone on an iPhone. But these folks have done it! Thank you for your vision and hard work!

Almost awesome. If I was using the free version I would have rated this higher but seeing as I paid for this software I have a higher level of expectations. I also paid for the sound expansion which alone cost me over $30 dollars. I realize that the iOS version of the DAW is going to have some limitations I expected that. For what it is the App does as advertised however. It crashes which I would have forgiven but when it crashes all of your project disappears with it. The first time it happened I hadn’t actually saved so I thought shame on me. But the second time my entire project vanished I was very careful to save at every step. If you are planning on doing anything with this program except for play around don’t even bother with it you will invest a bunch of time making something cool only to see it evaporate before your eyes.

Review. 10/10. Will be purchasing full app.

Needs a bug fix otherwise good. Audio bug, audio has completely stopped working the app will not play any midi or audio

Makes no sense. Confusing, complicated, buggy. Even with the full version it's impossible to access audio or send the files to other people.

Buggy cashes. On a brand new iPad pro., if I choose to create a new song, it crashes. After I get a few tracks going, it gets sluggish and unuseable.. Please fix

Hard to use. I am not a music professional. I just want to add a couple of tracks together. For example, a guitar melody as track 1 and some chords as track 2. It is so hard to figure out how to do that. Really disappointed.

Surprisingly well orchtrated. I wasn’t expecting much from a free recording studio app but this one has far exceed every expectation.

How to login. So I got a new device and forgot my password and now there isn’t a way to reset it for me to log back in. Is there a password recovery feature??

DONT GET THIS APP. I wrote and recorded a song on here about three times and each time you exit the app without saving... gone. Fully deleted. I had to do it 3 times and after that I got rid of it. This thing will stress you the hell out don’t get it.

N-Track. Why it don’t download.

Confusing. This app is to confusing for me to use every time I turned my phone to the side it closed the went out of the pad and when I DID use the pad it would record my pre-made beats even when it wasn’t on record

Great. I’d recommend using a pc for it though but if you don’t have one it’s still very good

Am I doing something wrong?. Whenever I start recording, there’s a slight delay between when I play and what I hear. This makes it difficult to lay a track when everything is out of sync. And downright impossible to lay a second track.

Loved til the new updates hit. I was able to bounce tracks..now it seems like that function is gone..

Great App for Songwriting and Toplining. This is amazing amazing app for top lining and songwriting on the go or if your not at the studio and don’t have any equipment.

Hard to connect with X Air interface. I have been using the app for awhile, and it is good for simple recordings. However, for some reason in does not recognize the X Air. Anyway if ya’ll could fix this it would be much appreciated.

Could not record. I wanted so badly to love this app, but could jot get it to record any of my instruments into the app. For the record I tried: Minimoog Minikogue JX-1 Yamaha MX Circuit Station I can record in to other (supported apps) using a USB to lighting adapter. But i after following the directions to ‘T’ I had to give up i was so frustrated. To the engineers...are you sure this is supported? I was able yo recor via my mic no problem. Audio input. The import audio not working I’ve been trying to get it right but not work at all

freezes and crashes. downloaded this excited to be able to do some simple multitrack editing on my ipad pro. imported like 6 wav files and tried to add fades between them. apparently this was too much to ask. app kept freezing and i had to quit and re open repeatedly, deleting my progress. eventually gave up. disappointing. interface is great, if only it worked. guess i will be doing even the most simple edits on desktop until something that actually works rolls around.

Can’t record without interruptions.. Running new iPad Pro 12 inch and recording a piano track lags very bad and is totally unusable. If a reboot of device fixes it I’ll update my review

Can’t press play.. Can’t even review my recording, I tap play and no audio comes up even though there’s audio right there. I’d give this a zero star but there’s no option.

Super cool. This app is just so awesome. It easy to use and just 2days with it am able to complete a project with the environment almost like the real recording environment..👍

N-Track. Very efficient device plug in. Fantastic results and peak performance.

Glitchy not fully thought through. It glitches, it’s not smooth. While trying to move things waves within a track the “edit menu” pops up constantly. The app is powerful but not clean at all. Very messy

Nice. Seems great. I thought there was no Audioshare support but didn’t realize I could just copy/paste audio, so no complaints.

Why Would You Use This?. I mean...it has an awful subscription feature and it’s work to use. Because it’s cheap? Get Cubasis or Auria...or even GarageBand. I don’t get the appeal.

Thorough and effective sound tool.. This app is my go to. Works wonders on clearing up audio and customizing beats. I love this application.

Trackouts. How do I send the tracks out to someone using a different program for them to mix and master my song

I hate deception. I looked at the in app purchases there were three of them for less than two dollars. Get when you start the app it asks if you want to pay $30 for the full version I thought I was downloading the full version.

Foxy Sound Synth if Linst. The basic functions for when it comes to recording software is great. Way more exterioir plugins are needed to add-on ggood catchy sound waves.

Better than GarageBand. The app does everything I need for a mobile setup and then some.
