Pointless. This app constantly classifies trips incorrectly. If I am not working, it still will track my trips as business related. No one wants to have to go back in and manually adjust nor can I remember that every single time. It points to common sense places to drive when you look for a wait point. The only useful feature is getting surge alerts which help when you have a ride and can’t see what the surge activity is.

Your app has a lot of functionally issues. Your rydar app has a lot of connectivity issues especially right in the middle of surges and high traffic and so far I've not had the chance of benefiting from this subscription i would refund of my subscription purchase. Your app has a lot of functionally issues also it doesn't notify of surges half the time I have to be using the uber app

Mostly Good. It’s a great app for planning out where to hang out in advance, but it’s not as good to use while you’re already out. A few things that would make it better: Real-time surges, possibly for unlimited locations Add more event types (college graduations and bigger sporting events like an All-Star game are big draws) Estimating future demand based on event capacity and day

Doesnt work as advertised. I never get notifications when the surge is in my area after I paid for the premium subscription. I’ve tried reaching out to them but the only form of contact is thru email. Which could take days to weeks for a response. I’m currently being charge for something I don’t want or need as of now it’s useless!! Help!!!

Mileage Tracker Feature costs money - False Advertising. At first glance this app seems really useful. The whole point of someone downloading this app is to be able to track mileage and expenses etc., and Rydar even advertises that this is exactly what the app is for. So it’s not only disappointing, but infuriating that you don’t find out until after downloading, signing up for a Rydar account and then logging into your ride-sharing app that you have to pay for the mileage tracker. You get all the other useless features for free, but to use the mileage tracker after a 14 day trial you have to pay $4.99 per month. Total BS.....FALSE ADVERTISING

Better than other apps. I think the best feature in Rydar is the simple button at the top of the screen that toggles if you are working or not. The last mileage app I used automated everything and lumped together personal and business trips. The vehicle info screen does not have a button to exit the screen without entering vehicle info. This seems to be a design issue that needs to be fixed in the UI.

Rydar. Only good for me is tells me about events I had it shut down many times it’s not showing weeks of expenses I sent to customer support they are so jacked up not understanding anything I say there are more bad things to report

They Stopped “At Home” Notifications. This app used to be great. It used to notify me when there was surge all over from the comfort of my own home. Now they apparently changed that feature without telling their paying customers or sending out a survey to see what we thought if it. There’s literally a notification button people can toggle off if they didn’t want notifications all day. It’s wrong seeing as I paid for this and they changed it. If they revert to the old method I’d happily give 5 stars but this change makes making money difficult all over again. They claim it only sends notifications if your location changes within 15 min. I have yet to receive any since they made the change and yes I know how the app works, I’m tech savvy and have all the settings correct and even when there’s surge when I’m working it doesn’t notify me. Rydar have you heard of the saying if it’s not broke don’t fix it???

Review. This makes it so easy to track miles and write offs!!! I’m so excited to have this ability to not worry about keeping accurate records

Highly detailed. So accurate it’s scary. Thanks to this app I’ll be able to claim mileage on my taxes and get all the wear and tear costs on my vehicle while during for Uber

Radar. I wanted to know where the people are at that need a ride and what the surge is for the area. It is not that easy to get that info so I will not sign up until it is user friendly. When I wrote the company they said we do it. You need to change your settings by watching a video. It should not be that difficult. They say they help Uber drivers. I can do what they offer just by using the uber ap. They need to improve ap.

The app doesn’t even work for me in My area. Well I have tried numerous times and won’t work says their isn’t a server available. I would give this app Zero Stars if I could. It’s very frustrating to have an app that says it can do this and this but doesn’t even work in the DC,MD,VA area !!! Before advertising is our area how about having a working product. Don’t download.

Good app. Needs work should nav through Uber and I like the surge warnings but if it takes me 20 minutes to drive there I’ll probably get there when it’s over so if you tell me ahead of time on Somethings getting ready to pop off

Does Not Work. I have deleted and reinstalled 3 times now and can’t get past error. If I choose Facebook sign it says it’s not supported. I try to sign up with email and I get an error that I have an invalid password. I have tried Letters, numbers and special characters, letters and numbers and only letters and nothing works.

Didn’t get the hands on time needed. Trial should be based on days of usage not days since installed. I never got to really try it out much. I did notice that it only does Uber-X. It needs to have options to include Uber Select and Black. Also, many of us do both Uber and Lyft so keeping track of expenses at the premium price not very encouraging.

Better than nothing; but it’s buggy. The app concept is good, but the app doesn’t save the events that I have added to “my calendar “. Additionally, I haven’t gotten any alerts lately; I think I got alerts a couple of years ago when I first installed the app- but I can’t remember. With the impending new Uber driver app and it’s limitations this app (if fixed) would be a game changer for savvy drivers- but, sadly the app doesn’t work as expected

Works Well but Missing Key Features. App does what it should. Tracks mileage and expenses for easy reference and print out for tax filing. App connects with Uber app to track distance, expenses, and revenues. Quick and easy set up. Wish you could make expenses recurring such as car insurance, additional app costs, car payments, and things you know you will be paying every month or so often. There should be a way to set it up to recur every month on a certain day, or annually, or even weekly or biweekly. Would also like to see it include Hot Spots, Bonuses, and Surges, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Not feeling the help. I did not find this app helpful. Maybe it’s because I didn’t know how to use it properly but didn’t really feel like he guided me where to go next. Plus, I wish there was a way to meet notifications while I was on a drive already. It was while on my trial constantly sending me notifications on a busy Saturday night in Chicago.

Needs updating but good app and worth it. Needs a little updating. Would like to see the expense app updated and have the ability to take pics of receipts. Also many times the default is personal for milage and I have to go back in a change them to business. Need a better or faster way to pick business or personal for mileage tracker. Over hall good app and it works just fine. I think over time with updates and it will be a five star hands down

1 because I can't do 0; totally disfunctional. None of the features of the app even work. I tried to link my Uber account, I couldn’t get past the allow stage the button didn’t work. I couldn’t sign up for a subscription because the buttons didn’t work, it just loads endlessly and doesn’t actually do anything and I think that this app is just a phishing scam

Doesn’t work as advertised.. I use the app. It’a cool when it works, but the primary reason it is useful is because I can get notifications on the surge rates while I’m on a ride, and it allows me to make intelligent decisions about whether or not I should accept the next ride they’re offering me. I’ve contacted tech support, and it kinda horrible customer service. I’m pretty tech savy, but I jumped through their troubleshooting checklist and sent them screenshots to show what was going on. After that, they replied that the exact issue I complained about (notifications not appearing) is a known problem, and that they are working on it. Couldn’t tell me that before several days of back and forth communication??? And it still hasn’t been fixed or addressed beyond that. Having said all that, the service is worth its price WHEN it works. And the events map and waypoints are helpful during downtime to figure out where/if you should start heading toward a new direction. The inconsistent finished product and shabby customer service are annoying as of right now though.

I am not seeing the benefit. I have an app for mileage tracking and was expecting this app to show me the busy areas and/or a map of expected surge based on historic data. All this app seems to do is show me where the bars and restaurants are and where any ‘events’ are taking place. Based only on that info it seems to determine that I should ‘go there.’ Um...no kidding! THAT is not added intelligence but just normal logic. Perhaps for a new driver who does not know the area, or for a big city with lots of events this could be useful, but for me, it is just the info that I already know. Nothing beneficial here. Deleting app.

NotTooLucky. When it was introduced I was sold but when it fully expanded( it took a number of weeks/months) into a superior entity I knew I found me a winner, it just won’t friggin work now for some reason, ugh!!!!!

Doesn’t work at all!!!. After failing to sign up with Twitter, Facebook and with an email and newly created password, I finally had success signing in with Google. After feeling like I broke through the app says "can't connect to server, please try again later" Judging from other reviews, the developer has gone silent. I think our safe to say that this app is dead. Let's hope the developer makes a statement soon regarding this apps status. It sounded perfect.

3 Star Rating. I gave this app a 3 star rating because no one responds to you and you can not call anyone once you register with them ((Rydar). I attempted to get back my money after being billed for a year subscription Only to find out after you could not get the mileage reports and deductions unless you purchased the premium subscription. Finally when I attempted to get a refund. The email was returned as undeliverable. Would I suggest Rydar to my Uber friends? Yes. but only for the reports that it can generate a month from the miles you can deduct.

Scam. This app is one big scam. I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription for weeks before it renewed, but I was not able to get a hold of anyone from there customer service team on time. So what happened? My subscription renewed and I still can’t get a of anyone. Why? BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. So basically IF you subscribe, you’re basically subscribing for a lifetime since you can’t cancel it and they have no one to help you with anything. They’re terrible and a complete scam.

Best app ever love it. Best app i Love it people often complaint that Uber drivers get pay a lot is not true Uber driver get pay very little a 15 minutes fare 5 miles maybe 7 miles is only $6.95 the drivers has to pay Uber a 30% Out of the fare amount $$ each trip And people has to pay .10 a minute if they wait on passenger compared to taxi it is cheaper if a taxi wait on passenger the wait charge is .25 a minute if people think Uber and lyft drivers get Pay to much please stop using Uber and lyft used a TAXI I love this app

Doesn’t work waste of money. At first the app worked great. Then after an update about 6 months ago the app has never worked correctly again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and still doesn’t work. I will de driving In the middle of a surge and the app doesn’t alert me! Support team doesn’t help and said that if you stay in one place for more than 15 minutes it will stop giving alerts. That doesn’t help in my area as my market has many times that I will be waiting in a parking lot for more than 15 minutes during some parts of the year. Even when driving for hours at a time and I’m receiving surge requests on uber this app doesn’t alert me of the surge in town.

It does what it says.....but only temporarily. Most of the data doesn’t sync even if my Uber Driver account is linked. Still, not so bad that I have to update the info so it appears properly, I can deal with the small hassle. But, the next time I go into the app the data is no longer there! Was seriously thinking about a subscription, but now thinking twice.

Surge alerts not working. I’ve emailed them already about this and went through the entire troubleshooting checklist but the app still does not send surge notifications. That’s why I subscribed because, the surge notification feature. I even deleted the app and installed again, checked all the notification settings on. Y phone and the app itself.

Nice, but could be better. This app is nice for alerting me to surges. The problem I have is that I set my alert radius to 30 miles as that covers all the important areas around me, but also extends into another state where Uber won't let me drive. If I set the radius to a distance that will not reach into the other state, I would also lose the areas in my state that I care to be alerted about. What would make this a 5 star app is if instead of setting a radius via miles, I could draw on a map - similar to how Zillow does it. Then I could draw a blob to include the 5 areas I care about and leave the areas out of state out of my blob. A less cool way would be to let me list the cities I care about and then alert me if there's a surge only in those cities. I think the blob would be a cooler implementation though.

No surge alert or even heatmap. Uber has changed their surge to dollars instead of decimals and this app still uses old decimal numbers when you go into settings app. Yesterday my uber app showed me surges and i opened this app and there was no surge anything showing. I paid for it and it doesn’t even work as it supposed to. I want my Refund

Server connect issue. The app just keeps telling me server connection issues and nothing works after logging in I’d did however work two days ago then stoped working ever since I tried reinstalling it but nothing other then that it don’t work for me so I am giving it s very low score cool app if it worked but it don’t so I’m giving it lowest score possible.

Just awesome. I’ve been using multiple apps to track mileage and expenses, but none of them are exceptionally accurate and it’s a pain to go between them for the different things that need to be tracked. This app imports everything from your account automatically, and removes the need for all the other apps entirely. This is pure win. Thanks for providing such an awesome product!!

App doesn’t work.. This app doesn’t work as advertised. Uber now has a flat rate surge payout. This app doesn’t even show surges at all. Only suggested hotspots based on other drivers statistics. I now question that seriously seeing how the warriors game just ended in oakland and it’s currently surging at $8 and so is Oakland Airport, but this app says nothing’s happening right now. I’ve been trying different settings and changing everything I can think of and find as far as parameters go. Nothing has made a difference. I’m contacting Apple tomorrow to request a refund of my 1 year subscription. Update: Just found out there’s a newer version of this app. There definitely should be more advertisement for the new app as well as a notification on the old one. Possibly maybe even remove the old app from the App Store seeing as how now there’s a new app......what’s the use of keeping the old one around?

Tracks mileage & gas expenses by syncing with your Uber driver app.. It tells you obvious places where it MAY be busy - hence MAY. At 6am in the morning on a Tuesday morning still says the same places as it does on a Saturday night at 11pm. However, its tracks your mileage and gas expenses while “online” - yes it syncs with your Uber. Recommend still hold onto your gas receipts when you fill up. This replaces MileIQ that cost a subscription where as of now this doesn’t.

Support. Are you guys still working on the app? Doesn’t seem to still be an active working app.

What about Lyft?. Looks nice. I mean, I just used it one day and was helpful. But I do Uber and Lyft also. When do you think are you going to join Lyft data to your App?

Make the location use notification go away.... I was going to attempt using this app after reading the reviews and having mixed feelings about it. Personally I drive more for Lyft now, and they do already send us notifications of events etc. unlike Uber. However having driven for Uber I was going to test this app out, except I will not agree to let it track my location even when the app is closed, and as such, the notification at the top of the app saying I need to change my location access to always on, disables me from being able to use the app. If your app simply will not function properly and notifications can’t be dismissed when not set to location always on, then to me this is a pointless app and it’s not worth the battery drain on your phone.

Very helpful. This app is amazingly accurate if you reference your Uber Driver App. Especially, if there's some down times without surge pricing it helps steer drivers towards possible rides. There's never a guarantee to be pinged for a ride, but I find this app helpful for the Twin Cities area. Thank you!

Garbage wanna be middle man app. As if uber and lyft doesnt prey on drivers enough, you have these apps popping up All over the place that supposedly make you more productive. This app does not tell you anything new. It doesnt have any extra info regarding uber surge or ping information that the uber app cant tell you, even with api integration. In fact, uber servers block this app from refreshing information too often. It gives you a list of events going on but that is nothing new. Google that. I tried the trial to confirm these suspicions and prove what people on uberpeople had been saying for a while. App is worthless. As a response to the developer, yeah, uber itself limits the number of times this app can receive new information from their computers because you all are an enterprise. Its about the number of times your app can be refreshed with data from them. They LIMIT it. Secondly, there is the principal of how surge works on uber to begin with that lets me know that there is no real world testing of the benefits of knowing whether or not there is surge around you by virtue of how surge works on uber to begin with. It will show up and disappear and what your app does is charge people in hopes if them chasing it which is incredibly obtuse and counter productive to the goal or mission statement of making someone more effective at uber. Ie. The predatory remark.

Didn’t work for me. This app sounds good just didn’t work for me. Whenever it would notify me of a surge I already had riders and business was steady. I’m also not a fan of how the app bully’s it’s way into having location services active even when not using the app. Look if I’m not using it why does it need to know where I’m at. Definitely uninstalled this app.

Decent but doesn’t track earnings for other gigs. Overall the app is decent. I would love to better understand how they determine what a “high demand” area is, are they going off where a bunch of restaurants are or are they using actual historical statistics of trip data. Is that based on their users or Uber as a whole. The feature to track earnings, deductions and expenses automatically is awesome...except(and this is the reason for 3 stars) I cannot update the earnings on non Uber trips (ie Lyft or other gig platforms). If you don’t have integration with the other platforms, at least let people put in earnings manually so that reports showing P&L are consolidated. Rather than only showing earnings for one gig, but deductions and expenses for everything. Because of this one feature, I don’t see the value to justify monthly subscription when there are other mileage and expense trackers out there for free or minimal cost.

More rides.. I just started using this app and it already has sent me to areas that I got more pings. Very informative app. It gives a lot of info about what kind of place your going to be waiting at. It shows events and night clubs and when during the day you should wait there.

Never works. I’ve recently re-downloaded the app after having used the service in San Antonio when I was driving there. I have tried to use the app on different settings (driving/not driving), change the surge notification price, and still nothing. I have also tried to contact customer support to no avail. I’ve already cancelled my next month’s subscription because I haven’t been able to get a single notification since downloading it on May 11th. It has been absolutely useless to me.

Requesting refund of subscription. I noticed this morning that a subscription fee was charged to me and this app doesn’t work as there isn’t a server connection. I am requesting that someone contact me immediately to refund me money that wrongful taking from my account. If you’re company isn’t up and running why is this app still charging people.

5 stars overall. The notification need to know when you are in the middle of a ride and when you are not. Overall better integration with uber app is better. The rest is very good. Thank you for such a great app.

Pure junk. I bought the app and linked my UBER account. Nothing works for showing events, surges or anything for that matter on my up to date iPad. I’m in Anchorage Alaska. Do NOT waste your money like I did. Absolutely the worst product.

Fix the calendar add adds make it free :). Why do the events disappear from the list after the events start, I want to see the event until and after it ends. Please address. Thanks

Cant Connect Uber Acct. So, Downloaded the app, tried connecting my Uber app, its a no go. Tried uninstalling reinstalling, restart phone, etc. still a no go, im sure id give this app a 5 star review but as of right now, thats a negative.

Does not send surges notifications. I tired the free trial and was not impressed too much. Later I subscribed for a month and the app does not send you notifications for the surges like it says it will.

Do not see the value at all. Well I wasted a year subscription on this app. As a rude share driver I can do better going with my instincts. I have better app for mileage tracker where I don't have to log in and out. I never get surge notifications. Useless. Tell me otherwise

Broken App. I paid for premium just in time for the wait time location feature to stop working. Well played, Rydar. I want my money back, but I know that’s a pipe dream. I will just unsubscribe when the year is up. Unreliable and a waste of my money.

Used to be great. Rydar used to be a perfect tool. Now it won't even open, it crashes at the loading screen. I keep it on my phone in hopes of an update but after seven months I think it's time to go.

App Total Failure. I downloaded the app as I drive full time and was hopeful that it would help me better use my time and schedule. Well, the app never worked, won’t connect to Facebook, would never connect to Uber account, just a total failure and waste of time. Don’t download.

Doesn’t Work. Wait Point locator worked the first day I used the app. Never worked again after the first day. I’m in a major metropolitan area and the app consistently says their are zero (0) wait points within 30 miles of me. No response from tech support.

Lousy. Lousy support doesn't reply to repeated emails for help. I still have not heard back from support. It says permissions not set for Facebook use. I've repeatedly tried contact rydar and all I get is thank you will contact you in 24 hours. I need help please!

Doesn’t work at all. Not sure what it’s suppose to do as nothing loads up. Just a circle thing comes up and it spins and spins. Like it’s loading but nothing loads. Maybe it doesn’t play well with an iPhone 6+. I’ll try it on my 8+ and see if something actually happens.

Eeh. Not very helpful. Notifications rarely work although it’s set properly. Will try another month and cancel if it doesn’t improve

Don’t work save your money. My Rydar app doesn’t work it says the server no connection it’s been over two weeks just wondering when there going to fix it

No-Value. I have written reviews on this product previously. At that time, the reviews were good. Recently, there have been two very major events happening in my city. This app never mentioned any of them. I am finding this app is not bringing the value as advertised. I will be canceling my account and deleting the app.

Get this app. Awesome app and very convenient for all drivers

Alerts stopped. First day I got every alert for hotspots and surges. Now I do not get any alerts even when the app is running. Very disappointed that the alerts aren't working the rest of the app is very nice.

It used to work. It is not tracking any deductions for mileage anymore. Once 2020 hit it stopped working completely. Stopped showing surges last summer. And I pay for it. Emailed support no response. Has went to complete garbage. I used to love it.

Just. This app doesn’t works. I paid $4.99 and totally it’s doesn’t show me anything, no surge, nothing. I don’t what the he’ll going on this app. It’s awful. I opened my Uber account and they just stolen my information.

Wish it had lyft. Wish you could connect your Lyft driver account. I drive for Lyft, but not Uber. Will you be adding Lyft, if had Lyft also I would give 5 stars.

Greedy developers. So basically this app charges already underpaid drivers who are hustling for a living right out of their last few dollars to provide info that neither helps nor improves the drivers experience. Shame on these developers for producing this project.

Trash. What a joke I need this right now and I actually registered for the $4.99 a month and the app keeps locking up and telling me that it can’t verify me and to try back later. I’m working right now I need it right now.

Meh.. Doesn’t track the mileage while you’re driving around and to pick up riders. These are deductible miles. Leaving money on the table. Also doesn’t work with Lyft at all.

Great app for Uber Drivers. Good app to use as Uber driver. Does not integrate with your Lyft account as it does with Uber however still very useful.

Uber is cheeky for not providing this at $0 charge. If this is not owned and operated by Uber, then how could you possibly know all the surges And where they are at? Drivers have never gotten a raise, so the least you should do is provide this service at no cost.

Not helpful at all. Maybe it’s just my area, this app does nothing to help with ride-share intel and then they push you to subscribe and pay? This app showed me where the restaurants are, I can use google for that.

Useless. After trying at various times and places for two days, the app won't connect to Uber, the event screen won't load and it can't find a wait point within 25 miles even in the middle of DC Not worth the effort it took to download it

App does not work.. says server connection problem. When trying to sign in I get a server error saying there's no connection. It worked for a few days of downloading but now cannot log in.

Feedback. No help at all been wasting gas and no rides in 2 hrs. I just purchased pro which said I would have tracker now it’s saying I need premium. That is bait and switch totally against the law!!! I will be requesting a full refund as well as calling the BBB and the attorney general.

This app is not working as it should :-(. I paid monthly subscription for this app. I noticed they’re some crazy surge prices going on nearby me all the time the app never show it nor notified me. I am in Colorado Springs. It’s a waste of money if you purchase it.

Do not waste your money!!. Most of the time when it looks for a wait point, it says no wait points found. Even at the largest search radius. I literally wasted my money on this app!

Don’t pay for this!!!. In March 2019, Uber stopped allowing multiple 3rd party apps access to their data, as a result It will not log into the Uber account anymore so it is just a complete waste of money! I need to contact iTunes to get my monthly subscription refunded.

Kind of like ESP. I like the surge radar, which has paid for the application several times.

App is down and no one is responding on fixing it.. It’s been two days since I can’t use the app due to a server error and no one is fixing it. No one is responding to my reports. They don’t care about the people who pay to use it.

Error - There’s no server connection at the moment. Upon signing in, it tells me to check my internet connection or try again later. Others report the same. This app should be removed from the app store.

No free option. Warning, you need to pay before they will show you anything. They just want you to download the app so they can swipe your info.

No longer in service. This app is not being serviced anymore. It no longer gets updates, updates its social media sites or displays surges on the map. Do not spend money on it.
