Love it but where are new recipes??. I’ve been a huge fan and supporter of this app for years. I’ve gotten many of my friends and family excited and subscribed to this app - that’s how much I love it and would give 5 stars if… if the service/updates hadn’t been lacking so much lately. I feel like since the update of their pricing structure for subscriptions, the new recipe uploads have gotten rather infrequent, and when they happen there’s not a lot, especially if you’re not in the “no restrictions” bracket. The last update was in April, it’s now June and still no new recipes in sight. The last ones were kinda weird too, I’ve maybe wanted to try 1-2 of the new recipes in all of 2023. I do love that they’re usually a bit experimental and not just run-of-the-mill recipes but lately.. I just don’t know. And on top of that I’m seeing their social media posts of recipes I can’t find anywhere on the app and I’m wondering…. Is anyone still running the product development?? If only they could get their groove back and update frequently with interesting, healthy recipes, I’d gladly give 5 stars again. It’s easily my most-used app.

Love but do have some feed back!. I absolutely love this app it has changed my life I have used it ever since I moved out and started meal planning for my own family! All the meals are so diverse and delicious! I would however like to comment that I would love if there was an update that made it so we had more dietary options like low glycemic or Mediterranean diets and also an option to do two diet categories at once because I am vegetarian but also eat a low carb diet as well and sometimes it’s hard to find the meals that work with both those restrictions. That being said I have been able to change my likes and “allergies” to make it kind of work. But it definitely would be more user friendly if I could just pick those two diets at the same Time. I know it might take a while for these changes to happen and in the mean time I will happily wait while I enjoy amazing recipes and delicious meal options! Thank you so much to the creators of this app it is such a game changer and I literally recommend it to everyone I meet!

Super great, one change to make it 5 stars. I want so so so bad to give this app 5 stars. It deserves it. It really does. I cannot appreciate enough the magic this app brings to my kitchen when I can enter gluten & dairy allergies & instead of just taking away all the recipes that don’t specifically say they’re GF/DF, it just adjusts the recipes to make them what I can have! So instead of wheat/white flour, use GF all purpose flour, or almond flour, or instead of sautéing something in butter, sauté it in oil. These are all changes that I would naturally make if I was following a recipe in order to fit my allergies, but they do it for me. It’s the most beautiful thing I have seen in a recipe app by far. That alone makes me want to give it 10 stars. The only only drawback I have is that it doesn’t adjust recipes for families. I have a family of five, and we like to have leftovers. The most I can set this app to is 4 servings, which obviously doesn’t even feed everyone in my house for dinner, let alone leftovers. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see that option upped to any number a family might need instead of limiting to 4. It also seems the total cook time is always WAY more than what is listed, even if I’ve done some steps ahead of time. Maybe it’s just me. But otherwise, I really do love this app & am so grateful for the allergy options. Best app for allergy recipes I’ve EVER seen!

VERY DELICIOUS! LIFE SAVER APP!. My husband had open heart surgery about a month ago. When I began searching for ways to cook and eat healthier, I was very overwhelmed. I had no idea how to go about making the lifestyle change we needed to better our health. I spent several days researching the internet before I finally came to you. Immediately, I knew it was exactly what we needed. I chose the low carb menus and we have been eating them for the last 3 weeks. I print your recipes out and put them in a binder, making up our menus a couple of weeks in advance. I found a couple of templates on the internet to write my daily menu on and I also write the ingredients that I need to purchase at the store. Doing it this way, simplifies things tremendously for me. The portion sizes have been great for the two of us and sometimes we have extra left over for my husbands lunch at work the next day. We have loved everything we have cooked. The last couple of days I have posted what we ate and recommended it to my friends. I have had several comments about how delicious it looks. I have to tell them, “Oh, it was!” Thank you so much for your hard work and for making things so much easier on me.

Lifesaver app. I struggle, like most people, with healthy eating, meal prep and finding things everyone likes. My family on top has some dietary sensitivities. This app was recommended to me about 3 yrs ago and I, to this day use it almost daily. I have not upgraded to premium service and have been using only the free side thus far. After you create your profile and have put in restriction and dislikes as well as likes, you can create your meal plan by either picking recipes that interest you or letting the app pick recipes that will save money by using produce in common. Personally, I let my kid pick out about 1-2 recipes weekly and the rest I will pick based on our schedule, mealime then gives you your shopping list with the option to order everything at your local grocery stores thru the app. And oh did I mention the app only gives me recipes within your dietary limits of thing one can eat and would enjoy?! This app simply makes life easier, helps you cook fresh and has quiet detailed recipes. If I had to criticize one thing it would be the time estimation of some recipes. But really that’s so minor that it’s laughable. I love love love this app and cannot image my life without 😋

Needs Improvement. This App is nice and is giving me some recipe ideas however there are a few things that would make it shine in my opinion. To be fair I am trying to eat healthier so there is a slant towards options to help with that. 1. Show the nutrition on the front page instead of making me dig into a drop down menu. This would help me decide to add it to the meal plan in the first place. 2. Many ingredients are not measured in the total Nutrition. For example, I have seen several times now where an ingredient is listed but an amount is not given. Mayo being one of them. It is often added in the instructions itself but the amount is omitted from the Ingredients and treated as though it is a spice. This seems very misleading for someone trying to limit calories or count macros. 3. Create a way to reorganize the meals into Morning, Day, and Evening. It would be great to open the app and choose “Breakfast” and see only what you have filtered into that mealtime. I am going to try and adjust some of these meals with substitutions based on my current needs and see how that works. I am still on the fence about keeping the app until I try some modifications but in the meantime I am happy to have at least some meal inspirations at the ready.

So far, fantastic. I’ve been looking for an app to help me make better shopping lists and this really takes the cake. I haven’t used it very long, so I still need to see if it’ll have enough variety, but so far every meal I’ve made has had very easy instructions that resulted in a very tasty dish. The way it makes the grocery list for me is nice too, it has substitution options for some ingredients, and it’s convenient to add a meal without having to go over what/how much needs to be added to the list. Also the cooking side of the app is nice, it has hands-free page turning for the recipes and supports multiple timers for multiple steps. It made it really easy for me to keep track of multiple things on the stove/in the oven at once without having to worry about which timer goes with which thing! Looking forward to trying out more meals, and honestly the pro version is looking like a good deal too, and I don’t usually like paying for stuff like that.

Meal planning made easy and cost effective. So this app runs beautifully. They have made it very streamline and user friendly. I wanted to find something that would truly be a go to tool for meal planning. Organizing my shopping list. I know it’s going to be healthy. However just a tiny thing and it is most likely a personal preference of how the order the instructions for cooking. Some things you would thing you would do before others type of thing. But so minor compared to how effective this app is. We try to plan about five meals a week. Leaving two night for us to go out. Two people eating and I do the four serving size so I can have lunch the next day. The most I have spent on groceries for just the meal planning has been $81. That’s honestly cheap for Fresh ingredients. I am honestly very impressed with this app. *edit* just a thought as a step up for the app to offer for the subscription, or do a subscription pro with a section the has videos of the meals the person selects that week. So those that are learning to cook have more direction. Learning tools and basic knowledge.

Great app- reduce food waste. Loved the app because you choose recipes for the week, and it will auto compose a grocery list- yay! Even better was after you purchased the grocery item or if you already had that item in your cupboard you could mark it off the list and it would disappear- easy peasy. Loved the concept of reducing food waste too! Going to be candid about the part I was disappointed with- not a big fan of the recipes. Maybe I chose not great recipes? I felt there was limited selection of different types of recipes - The 4 recipes I’ve done so far are wordy, lengthy, more info than necessary, plus it’s kinda hard to follow because there is a lot of unnecessary prep and lots of dishes to use- which means extra cleaning afterward... the recipes are a little over complicated. A good dish doesn’t need to be overloaded with spice or ingredients. I have a family, last thing I want to do is use a ton of extra pots/pans/bowls and kitchen items, stove/oven/ and 5 different mixing bowls plus something else all just for one meal. I don’t need the fanciest dinner in the world, just something healthy, straightforward, easy. If I had all the time in the world would be fine, but I’m a busy mom and if some recipes could be a little easier and more simplified than I don’t mind doing a few other recipes that are more involved. A better selection of recipes, include options for crockpot recipes, would make me want to use this app weekly.

Life Changing- plus food allergy help!. I can’t say enough good things about this app. I’m not a cook and really don’t enjoy cooking. We have food allergies and dietary restrictions so meals are a challenge. This app lets you customize your dietary needs and shows you step by step on how to prepare the meals. Each step also has the ingredients listed FOR that step so you don’t have to go back to beginning of the recipe to see how much olive oil you need etc. It’s like the creators asked people who don’t like cooking “what could help ease your cooking pain” and then put those suggestions in this app. The other amazing thing? IT’S 90% MOSTLY FREE with no obnoxious ads that keep popping up while you’re mashing your cauliflower (so irritating)! Then it’s only $5 a month if you want the nutrition info and access to special recipes.... but there are SOOOOOOOOO many free delicious recipes at no cost. This was especially important for us low income families during a pandemic. Oh wait.. the grocery list!! It also creates a grocery list based on your weekly meal plan.. and alerts you on possible allergens. I could seriously kiss these app creators and chefs on the MOUTH (figuratively speaking of course). We’ve saved a lot of money cooking this way. Also, I’m now cooking for my neighbor too. Whhaaaaatttt? I know right? I love this apps guts!!!

Making me and my s/o’s life a tad easier. This app is literally making meal planning for my bf and I so much easier. I love how you can choose your eating preferences and still exclude ingredients you don’t like! Also, love that you can choose between 2 to 4 servings (we choose 4 so we have leftovers for lunch the next day) and it gives breaks down the ingredients accordingly - making grocery shopping a breeze, especially since you can mark off items you already have. The recipes I’ve tried thus far have been easy and so delicious! Minus one star bc you can’t choose BOTH pescatarian AND low carb eating preferences as a combination - it’s one or the other. Also minus one star because when I do choose pescatarian it’s almost as if the app assumes I want fish/shellfish included in every entree....I would like to see more vegetarian options so I can get a break from seafood. There’s ways to work around these issues, but would be nice if it was a little easier. Overall, I would definitely recommend this app to anyone who’s just starting to meal plan!

Fantastic app!. I have the pro version and it’s changed my kitchen game! I can cook, but actually thinking up what to cook and then making sure I had all the ingredients was just about impossible for me and I’ve spent years of frantic searching through the freezer every night at 5pm trying to come up with something to cook. Mealtime saves me time, effort, and most importantly money while providing absolutely delicious, healthy, impressive meals which are quick to put on the table. My only disappointment has been with the Indian recipes so far...being English I am used to a wide variety of authentic and delicious curries, and unfortunately this app does tend to rely on an overuse of ‘curry powder’ and turmeric instead of the subtle blending of many spices that true Indian food is renowned for. I don’t know if this is to cater for more American tastes or just to make the recipe simpler to cook, but every curry I’ve tried so far I have had to doctor up with more spices for a better, more authentic flavour. Having said that, every other type of recipe has been fantastic. This app is bringing back a love of cooking to my life instead of a jaded, repetitive production line of boring staples. Thank you!

Helpful, healthy meal plan app. When I discovered this app (not sure how), I wasn’t expecting the ease of use and time saving components. I have 2 meat eaters, and I and another will eat fish or vegetarian. This does slightly complicate my life, and I’ve had issues with food meal services because of that. Not to mention the expense. I still haven’t upgraded to Pro version which I may do as I find this app helps me eat out less and lose weight so I’d value more variety. I always feel energised by the vegetarian meals which are usually interesting and tasty. I think if someone with an open mind stuck strictly to the vegetarian diet, you’d lose weight and feel much better, and this app makes it easy. The only hard part is having the discipline to come home after a long day/commute and cooking. This app is basically a Do It Yourself HelloFresh which if you’re looking to save but still eat healthy foods, it’s amazing there. I’ve recommended this app to many people as I feel it is relevant for anyone even a single college student.

Amazing App!. My trainer suggested this app to me when I was struggling to come up with exciting healthy recipes so I didn’t get stuck in a food rut and get off track. Little did I know at the time just how much I would love this app!! There are so many recipes to choose from and I have yet to find a recipe that is not DELICIOUS. You can choose what type of plan you want (paleo, keto, low carb, etc) and never worry about choosing a meal outside of your plan. It makes my life so easy when it comes to meal planning because it’s one stop and I have meals for the week. None of the recipes that I’ve tried are difficult and most take 40 minutes or less to get from start to finish. The fact it auto generates a grocery list for you based on your meals picked is fantastic and you can add additional items to the list so everything is all in one place when it comes to grocery shopping. Honestly can’t say enough good things about this app. I bought the pro version because I loved it so much, but you could easily use the free version and still have plenty of variety to choose from.

One of my favorite apps!. I cannot say enough about how much I love Mealime. Not only has this app helped to reduce our household food waste to nearly nothing, but we are saving time, energy, money, and stress. Also, THE MEALS ARE DELICIOUS AND EASY. We have been using this app for nearly all of our meals over the past two months and have yet to find a recipe that we don’t like. My husband is a big eater, so I love that I can change the serving size to 6 and know that we will have the perfect amount for dinner and lunch for both of us. Never again do I need to fight for the leftovers. With the serving size feature, grocery shopping has never been easier. I love that the list tells me exactly the amount of each ingredient that I need to grab. No more in store guessing and no more spending an hour to create my list. (I also love that I can add my non food items to the list so that everything is in one place). Lastly, the instructions are everything I have ever wanted in a recipe. THE INGREDIENTS ARE IN LINE WITH THE DIRECTIONS... 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 no more scrolling up and down to figure out how much of each ingredient I need. (And no more scrolling through blogs about how the chef’s grandmother was a lemon farmer to get to the recipe...). Download this app and use it immediately, you will not regret it.

A True Weekly Meal Planning App. I have been looking for an app that would recommend delicious meals and provide all of the instructions on how to make the meals as well as the list of ingredients I need to shop for each week. This app really takes the guesswork out of what I need to do for the week. Clearly they have thought through the user experience. Out of curiosity, I downloaded about five other “meal planning”apps. Some wanted me to create an account and sign up for a trial while the others were not recommending meals to me, they were just apps for me to add my own recipes and create my own schedule (no thanks lol). A few notable features that I found pretty awesome: it started with a quick intro to the app via welcome screens whereas O had to guess how other apps worked, it asked me if I had any food allergies or foods that I did not like and actually provided a list of options to choose from, unlike the other apps, it also had visual pictures of the meals - all I had to do was select each meal that I was interested in cooking. I could remove things from the list, I could see it in a calendar view, and it generated a very easy grocery list. I’m actually considering getting the pro version. I also like the feature that you could send feedback to the chefs -that made it really personal. Great job on this app!

Where the heck has this been all my motherhood life. I have two children under 2 years old and usually forget about dinner, until it’s time for dinner, and then my toddler is throwing a fit because he’s hungry and dinner is still frozen. I used to love cooking but I would get overwhelmed with recipes with lots of ingredients not knowing what I needed to buy, what I already have, etc. Cue Mealime: you pick a recipe list for the week, if there are ingredients similar in both recipes it adds it all into one grocery list with amount needed, and just compiled an entire grocery list for me. Something that would have taken me probably 30-45 minutes looking at different recipes and opening/closing different websites to cross check recipe ingredients. The recipe instructions are so easy to follow (ingredient measurements right in the steps- genius, no going back and forth from ingredients list to recipe steps). And to add- the recipes are over all mostly healthy well balanced meals which is exactly what I’m looking for trying to create a healthier lifestyle for myself and my family. This free app alone has lifted so much weight and anxiety off my shoulders. I can’t thank the developers enough. When I have the money i plan to upgrade to pro!

Helpful app, with some kinks :(. I like the recipes, the grocery list integration, and easy to follow recipes. It calculates macros. But if you want to modify any recipes you can’t remove ingredients and have it calculate for you. Still it makes meal prep a bit easier especially if you get bored of the same foods quickly like i do! What’s most annoying about this app is being unable to modify a meal plan. For example if I picked out 4 recipes for the week and I only meant to pick 3, you can’t just subtract it from your meal plan. You have to create a new one. In the FAQs the reason they gave was that this eliminates food waste. That is a LAME explanation, app developers!!! Fix this please. I am all for minimizing food waste. But what if you haven’t even made it to the store before buying what you need for the meal plan? Or you want to modify while at the store?? People have lives and things come up and we need flexibility in meal planning.... having to start a new one is a pain. Overall, I would recommend this app. Upgrading seems to be worth it, I still have to see. But if you don’t upgrade the app is incessantly trying to get you to upgrade.

Super convenient!. I love this app because it is so similar to other subscription meal prep delivery services, except you go do the shopping! You pick recipes at a time (with no limit on how many meals), and then It provides a grocery list from recipes you pick, with little to no wasted food (However, I would recommend to shop for your meal prepping once a week vs once every 2 weeks if you’re able to, because I have noticed certain ingredients spoil quickly if you don’t get to them the same week). I also love that you can save your favorite recipes, rate them, and even edit the recipe if you so happen to love it and put your own twist to it (which I have done with a few). The only complaint I have is that a lot of the recipes are way over complicated which can take you twice as long to make a meal. Most of the recipes I just skip over steps, or simplify the cooking process which is slightly annoying, but overall, this app has helped my husband and I eliminate the time we spend hunting for ingredients in the house after work, and hoping we can make a meal out of it.

Worth the monthly subscription.. I never ever review apps… EVER. But I feel inclined to do so for this app. I’m a mom to a 4 year old who is in preschool. I WFH and my husband works in the office. It gets hectic. The one thing I can count on every day is this meal planner app. I love the grocery store checklist, which allows you to add other items as well. It tells you the quantities so there’s no food waste! The recipes are delicious. I am on the Mediterranean diet and eat meatless most days, and the app gives a great number of easy recipes. I’m making food from different cultures and countries that I would have never made before on my own! The step by step instructions are easy to follow so I prop my phone up on a stand and glance it over while I’m cooking. I’m eating way more vegetables than I ever have before. With the veggies I use, I have enough scraps to throw into a stock for the week and some for the compost. The nutritional content is all right there and ready to throw into a calorie counter app. I highly recommend getting this app for yourself - and some good cooking knives because this will make you LOVE cooking!

Everything you want in a meal planning app!. I can’t recommend this app enough! It has everything you want in a meal planning app: options for food preferences and allergies, endless variety of delicious and nutritious meals, automatic grocery lists with the ability to add your own groceries and check off what you already have, options for grocery delivery, budget friendly meal options, easy meals instructions, and the ability to import recipes from other sites or add in your own recipes from scratch. I’ve been using this for about a month and have not yet eaten the same meal twice. I particularly love that each instruction includes ingredient measurements so you don’t have to keep switching back and forth between views. It can make grocery shopping a bit more time intensive if you’re not used to shopping for certain ingredients or do your own own self checkout (particularly for produce that doesn’t have barcodes), but it’s 100% worth it. This app completely eliminates the mental load of deciding what’s for dinner but without the waste and cost of subscription meal boxes. I love knowing that I have all the ingredients needed for the meals, and I’m not wasting as much food. The only thing I wish this app could do is sync to my partners phone so they can see the meal plans and shopping lists on their own app, but it’s not a big since you can also share those via a text/email option.

The app I tell everyone I know about!. I used a meal kit delivery for awhile and loved it but when it was time to start pinching some pennies and we eliminated that from our budget. I became so overwhelmed trying to meal plan that I thought we’d just eat the same thing every night because I couldn’t possibly come up with enough lunches and dinners for everyone. I decided to see if there was any kind of app that could possibly help me and stumbled upon Mealime and since my first time using it I have loved it so much I tell everyone I know about it. We have not had a bad recipe yet, my husband loves the meals, my kids love the meals, and I enjoy cooking with the app. There are so many things that seem so simple they do but are missing from other apps: In cooking mode, they list out the amount of each ingredient you need. This is huge because other apps don’t tell you how much and you’re constantly having to scroll from your list of ingredients back to the recipe part. They offer suggestions for alternative ingredients which has helped me save some money if something was too expensive or out of stock I could replace it. After about 2 months using the app every week and being 100% satisfied I did decide to go with the pro version. And I still tell everyone I know to get this app! I love it and only have good things to say about it!

Eat good, healthy and interesting. We’ve been using Mealime for more than two and a half years and still love it. Originally, we just wanted an app to help us, a couple of newlyweds moved to a new city, avoid eating pizza three times a week, but this app has helped us both learn to love cooking and added some adventure into our weeknight meals. We each have our own Mealime on our phones and I cook 4 days of the week while my husband covers the other three. We shop for our ingredients—Mealime makes the list easy to manage and you can check off things you probably already have at home (black pepper) and make substitutions if there’s something you don’t like. I have a food allergy and it was easy for me to let the app know what I didn’t want in any recipe. And for all that, we’re becoming better cooks! Garlic and olive oil are magic, as Mealime has taught us. One of our default meals, salmon and asparagus, is fancy but ridiculously easy, but we’ve also learned how to cook (and enjoy) more exotic fare—mint green pea mash or roasted grapes. It’s been more delicious, and more interesting, than just getting fast food.

The Best Meal Planning App You Could Find!. I love this app so much. We live an hour away from the closest Dillons (Kroger) and only make a grocery trip once every 10 days or so. This app has been great for helping to me meal plan when we have to be so organized so far in advance! We currently have 3 kiddos under 4. I love how I am able to introduce new and fresh foods to my kiddos, as well as have leftovers to take to work the next day. My husband has loved the new variety of foods as well! The best thing about this app is that I can link to ingredients to my Dillons pickup order, saving that much more time and preventing me from dragging two toddlers and a baby through the grocery store 😅 One thing I’m curious about is why some ingredients fail to transfer to my dillons cart - this has only happened the last 3 or 4 times, but I don’t notice until after I’ve already submitted my grocery store order. I’d love some suggestions to fix it, and would encourage others to double check before ordering.

Indispensable. This app has become totally indispensable for me. Let’s face it; scouring the Internet for healthy recipes every week stinks. They’re buried in long blog posts, often poorly written or tested, and you can’t easily string them together to make a meal plan or even a grocery list. Mealime saves me so much time and money on wasted groceries. The recipes are tested, easy to follow, macro balanced, super customizable, and yes, they’re delicious! I’m a pretty serious home chef, and I’ve even learned a few new tricks and techniques from Mealime. The user experience leaves nothing wanting. Search and filter is really advanced, allowing you to search for meals with say, more than 30g of protein per serving or omit foods you don’t like (bye goat cheese). It auto-builds a grocery list, including substitutions, and has touchless step-by-step instructions. NO MORE DIRTY PHONES! You can even easily import recipes from all of the food bloggers and not have to read about their recent trip Tulum. I’m not sure if it’s a native integration or user generated, but I’ve found most of the Mealime recipes pre-programmed into my fitness pal, making macro tracking even easier.

Great for elimination diet (AIP) food planning. I am just beginning to follow the autoimmune protocol diet for addressing some ongoing health issues, and this app has been so helpful. The free version has some preference availability, but the full/upgraded version allowed me to set preferences so every meal I make is safe for me to eat while my choice of ingredients is limited. The time estimates are pretty good if you are quick with chopping up foods and don’t get distracted. I think I took a little longer than the time listed, but I also was prepping some other food at the same time. I chose the 4 person option for my first recipes, and the portions are really big, so I may try the 2 person next time. I am glad to have the leftovers to limit the number of times I am cooking during the week, though. It is easy to adjust preferences, and the automatic shopping list generation is GREAT. I am so thankful that my friend introduced me to this app, and I am going to tell my nutritionist, friends, and anyone else who will listen about it, too.

Fantastic app!. This is the first review I have written for any app ever. :) I’ve been really pleased with using this for the past month or so. I have a super long commute and an insane work schedule which used to make me dread coming home and either eating the same meal I’d eaten the entire week or ordering take out. With this app, I have an awesome variety of recipes at my finger tips which are nutritious, quick, and uncomplicated. It is such a relief to have a grocery list already out together for my shopping trip; it’s cost- and time-effective. The cost usually ends up a bit less than if I had put together my own menu for two people for an entire week’s worth of lunches and dinners and it only takes 15 minutes to put a menu together. My boyfriend appreciates the variety, and I appreciate how much money we’re saving by not doing take out. :) I also really appreciate how little food waste I have at the end of the week. All in all, I’m really pleased with this app. I use the free version now but am keen to try the paid version as it would be nice to look up lower calorie recipes and save our favorites.

Just download it. The only non game app my family and I use daily. For over two years. I finally paid for the subscription because I wanted to support the devs but I (guiltily) used the free version for over a year and found it to be very generous. I am still learning all the ins and out available but the parts I use are immensely helpful. I can change eating styles, limit ingredients, and there are almost always new weekly recipes to try. The grocery list is the best- it has not only cut down the time I spend in the store but also my bill because I no longer wander isles looking for inspiration then forgetting what I had planned and throwing away spoiled food or buy junk I didn’t even like. The recipes are easy for an experienced cook and my husband, with little experience, has always been able to make a decent meal when I’m not available, although he does occasionally struggle with some terms and techniques. (Cooking “stresses him out” 😂) This app is like having a personal food assistant and I have found it invaluable.

My go-to for meal planning! One request tho. I’ve relied on Mealime for meal planning for over a year now. The app is super easy to use, the meals are delicious, and I feel good after each meal knowing I’m eating much healthier than getting takeout food. I love the convenience of the recipe list and all the features you get even without signing up for premium. The selection of Asian meals on the app could be improved- I’d love to see some more authentic Chinese recipes. Or just more exotic recipes in general. I’ve liked everything I’ve made with Mealime, but the recipes play it a tad too safe in my opinion. But this is just a small wish and I love the app regardless. What I REALLY want to see in this app is meal prep capability. I’d love to see a function where, after you select your meals for the week, the app tells you what you can chop/cook ahead of time. I currently try to figure it out myself but it involves a lot of clicking back and forth between the ingredients list and the recipes. If you guys add meal prep functionality, I would sign up for premium for sure!

One stop shop for meal planning. Can’t say enough great things about Mealime. We’ve been using it for about 6 months now and have yet to try a disappointing recipe. I used to loathe Sunday’s because it meant deciding what to eat, making a list, getting groceries and then hoping for the best. With Mealime, they make a menu for me, compile the list, and then we’re off to the races. We’ve noticed that we have WAY less food waste and aren’t buying a bunch of random ingredients we only need a teaspoon of just to never use again. Also highly recommend upgrading to the premium version so you can add notes to the recipes (helpful when I modify a recipe a bit). A few things I’d love to see: (1) An Echo Show app to be able to follow along on the Echo, (2) Ability to assign different steps of the recipe to someone. When my husband and I cook, we divide and conquer so would be cool to be able to clearly see which steps are his and which are mine. I could see how this would be helpful with kids helping to cook as well! Overall, nice job Mealime team, you save me time and money and make weeknight dinners delicious!

What’s for dinner? Mealime!. My friend recommended that I start using Mealime for meal planning, and I’ve never looked back! There’s so many good things about this app- tasty recipes and the grocery list make life so much easier. We used to struggle with figuring out what to make for dinner, but not anymore! Now we always have the groceries on hand that we need for our recipes. We bought the pro version because we love it so much. We also have 3 kids and they approve of a lot of these recipes. My 6 year old son likes to help us pick the meals. Some improvements I can think of are having slow cooker or instant pot recipes. A lot of the recipes have lots of steps and I have gotten a little weary of making “fancy” meals. It may just be the meals that I pick, but I’ve only found a few truly easy meals. And after we bought the pro version I was expecting to be able to modify a meal plan whenever I wanted without having the grocery list reset- I would love it if this could be a feature. Sometimes I don’t want to redo the whole meal plan- I just want to add another meal to my already delicious plan! More allergy free recipes would be nice- one of my friends has a son with multiple allergies and when she put all of those in to avoid it left her with very few options. I’ve recommended this to many friends and will continue to do so! Thank you for making our life so much easier. ❤️

LIFE CHANGER. My best friend told me about this app and I downloaded it right away. I HATE meal planning, meal prepping, meal shopping. I like to eat out so I can pay someone to cook for me. But let’s face it, that is costly and most of the time, not as healthy. I like to cook, I just needed help. A lot of it. This app literally has CHANGED MY LIFE!!!! I have had it for 3 weeks and my family hasn’t eaten the same meal once! We have had healthy meals made in less than 30 or 40 min, and the prepping is usually done as I cook. The kids alternate helping me cook and doing the dishes. We have saved 6 pounds of food waste, and have saved probably $100 at least in groceries. This app does EVERYTHING for you! It calculates all the ingredients you need for all the meals and puts it on a shopping list. Even staple items like salt! I cook every night now, and don’t have to think about anything. I spent the $50 for pro because it allows me to review meal history, and gives me a lot more recipes. Plus, I just loved the app so much from day one, I wanted the FULL benefits. Download this app NOW! You will not be disappointed. I promise. THANK YOU, MEALIME!!! Melanie

My favorite app. I grew up in a big, crazy family. Now I’m a single professional. I had a very hard time figuring out how to cook for one. When I made meals at home, I ended up with a lot of leftovers, ate the same thing until I was sick of it, and usually wasted the last of it. I ate out a lot, and didn’t eat a very healthy diet. Mealime changed that. More recently I found that my allergic reactions were due to a list of unusual food allergies. I found the allergy and food preference settings in the Mealime app and I was able to eliminate all of the allergens with very little inconvenience. I’m feeling way better, again due to this app. It’s great. There are tons of recipes, it generates your grocery list for you, and you can adjust your preferences as often as you want. There are multiple options for menu type, calories, price point, prep time, etc and you can pick from a long list of recipes or let your recipes be selected by the app.

A must for busy mom’s. I love the flexibility of being able to choose your own meals. We have tried for the last several years ( 7+) various home boxed meals like plated, blue apron, home chef … After a while those meals get redundant and recycled. What I like about this, is I can search for the ingredients that I have in and use those ingredients up, and also be able to choose the flexibility of what my family will eat. The home box services, you get five meals but you’re at their discretion and if you don’t like a recipe you have no way to opt out of that recipe. With this where you’re picking your meal, you were in complete control and can admit or add ingredients as you see fit. I love the integration into my local grocery stores online pick up, so I can meal plan and grocery shop all in one 30 minute sitting. I also like the fact that I can start over, and change my meal plan if the groceries for that week will exceed our weekly budget. We’ve only been using this app for about a month, so I sure hope that the recipes continue to be fresh and not become redundant and recycled.

Love It. This app has been the answer to my prayers! It takes the guesswork out of cooking delicious and healthy and different meals. Before I had this app, every time I stepped into the kitchen, I had to make gazillion decisions about what to cook. I was eating a lot of the same food. With this app, I have different recipes—a good balance of fish and poultry and game (I need my protein)—and the recipes are so tasty! And I am not agonizing about what I will eat. I actually look forward to cooking AND to eating! Unless this sounds like I am gaining weight, let me say that I have lost weight, so now my friends are asking me how I did it. I lost weight with this app and with Jerzy’s Happy Body workout (no, no one is paying me for this! I write out of pure gratitude that both this meal app and the workout program have improved my lifestyle!) I use this app with an online service to do the grocery shopping, so now I am saving time and can take a breather! I cannot stop praising this app and have told all my friends about it.

Trying this app was one of my better decisions. My husband and I have had a heck of a time over the years figuring out dinner every day. I'm vegan and he's vegetarian, and there aren't really any meal kit services that cater to our diets. We tried one but found we didn't go through the food fast enough and hated all the packaging waste. Mealime has helped us make figuring out dinner easier, helps us avoid food and packaging waste, saves us money at the grocery store by only buying exactly what we need, and has made our evenings at home much more enjoyable. I'm worried about getting burned out on the vegan recipes because there don't seem to be many, but we'll see what gets added over time. I wish the cooking mode included pictures of prep or GIFs of how to properly cut/prep the produce to help those of us that aren't experienced chefs. I'd also be nice to look at all available dishes at any time without having to cancel out the current meal plan. But even with room for improvement this is a great app and I'll happily subscribe as long as more vegan dishes keep getting added (don't be afraid to call for veggie cheese like Daiya or meat substitutes in the future!).

Best Meal App EVER!. This app is an absolute LIFESAVER when it comes to saving time, money, and sanity! I’ve tried a plethora of grocery list and meal planning apps over the years, but they all seemed to fall short; using the apps actually turned out to be more stressful than worrying about meals. This app is like no other food planning app I’ve tried. It’s easy to use, it actually reduces stress instead of adding another thing to worry about, it LOOKS FABULOUS (so professional and inspiring), and it actually functions even if you don’t buy the premium version! One of the things that frustrates me the most when it comes to apps is the sneaky way many companies try to force you to buy the premium version of the app by making the free version virtually unusable! This is no such app, and I LOVE the way it works even without buying the premium version. I may just buy it to support the company and thank them for making my life so much easier without tricking me! Thank you so much Mealime makers!! 💗

Love this app!. I have been using the pro version of the app for about a year. I love that it creates your grocery list for you. The recipes are all healthy and it is great that you can add your own recipes on the pro version. This app has made weekly meal planning a breeze and reduces the amount of food waste my household produces. There are only a few small things I have problems with. Sometimes I find the instructions to be confusing. Some of the recipes have instructions like “put half of the ingredients in one bowl and the other in a smaller bowl”. It can be hard to figure out what is supposed to be in each element of the recipe. At least for me, I’d prefer the instructions for each thing to be separate. Another thing I’ve noticed with the recipes is some of them severely under estimate cooking time. I rarely pay attention to the times on the recipes and cook by instinct. Same with the amount of seasoning for each recipe. I understand that they are trying to keep it simple, but I have a feeling if you followed these recipes to the letter, the results would be disappointing. With those criticisms in mind, I would say this is an excellent app for confident home cooks that need organization and a little inspiration. Beginner cooks may have some difficultly if they follow the instructions too closely.

From recipe to grocery order!. I believe this is the first “glowing” review I have ever left on any app!! Don’t usually have a preference big enough to leave any! But Mealime would have got a 20 star review if possible! I can choose my weeks worth of meals, decide how many people I want the recipe to feed and it gives me a grocery list for all the recipes selected. I’ve used the app for about 3 years, but hadn’t been on it for a while, but got back on and BEHOLD...the grocery list syncs my with my Walmart online order account! Beyond that, it is a very professional looking sync, which shows how much of an item you need at the bottom of the Walmart app, and automatically searches for the item as you skip or add them to your cart! It took me an all of 5 minutes to choose my meals, open the grocery list and add it to my Walmart cart and have it ordered! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Sooo much time savings! You can also change a quantity of an item, mark off what you already have...I’m impressed. I’ll leave it there! 😁

For just starting out, goes above and beyond. After some time preparing to move out of my parents house and into college, I realized I really needed to try to understand meal planning, hopefully before I went and would be too caught in a frenzy to be organized. So I got this, mainly because it appealed to various diets, it showed to have quick recipes, it was free, and seemed to make itself as a “hassle-free” app. Surprise- it lets you restrict recipes based on ingredients you don’t like-which is great because unfortunately I have a sensitive stomach and I just don’t deal with some foods. There were lots of recipes. From what I’ve seen, most are kind of out there- not just spaghetti, meatloaf or special casserole - the stuff you know how to make and really don’t need a planner for. No, these are meals I guess would cater to those looking to try new things. That or I really don’t eat different stuff a lot. Either way I enjoy what is offered. It helped me learn the basics of meal planning, and honestly I don’t really do much else- the app provides a shopping list for you from the meals and you can also add more items to get the complete shopping trip I use the 2 serving because I’ll make my dinner and use the second portion for next day lunch, which pinches more pennies and help me stay on the plan Overall great!!

The Best I’ve Used (and I’ve used a LOT). As a registered dietitian and avid cook, I like to have meals planned out in advance. However, actually finding and planning everything is not my favorite pastime. I’ve gone from planning everything myself to using Emeals (which got expensive AND resulted in a lot of food waste) along with a plethora of other meal planning apps and programs. I came across Mealime a year or more ago and haven’t looked back since. I love the filters for eating preferences, budget, allergies, and nutritional info. Going premium is well worth it and I LOVE that this is designed with several fellow dietitians on the team. Knowing that, I feel good recommending this app to all my patients who want help with meal planning. I look forward to the regular updates that add even more recipes. My only recommendation is that I’d like an easy way to import the recipes to MyFitnessPal (another app I both use myself and recommend to patients). I know we can use the quick add feature on MFP, but I like having the ability to add from a url so all the ingredients, pictures, etc. are right there and ready for the next time I make the recipe. Just a suggestion. Otherwise an awesome tool for this short-on-time vegetarian!

Love the app, one suggestion.... I have been a meal planner for years but have gotten tired of scrolling through all of the articles and ads when I’m trying to save recipes on Pinterest. I was seeking an easier way to meal plan for my family without having the added frustration of curating all of the content myself. I discovered Mealime and signed up for a premium membership. It has been worth it for me and saves a ton of time and increases my enjoyment in cooking for my family. I have one suggestion for the platform, I really wish there were slow cooker/crockpot meals. Some weeks life is really busy but I still want to cook a homemade meal for my family. Using a crockpot makes that possible. Not having those recipes on this platform means that I have to toggle back-and-forth between this and Pinterest or load my own recipes which does not provide the same great format of other Mealime recipes where the ingredients are grouped with the instructions. If you added in some crockpot meals, this would be a perfect app 👍👍.

So grateful!!!. This has saved my life! I have some health issues and I needed to start a strict diet. The only issue is I have never been taught how to cook and didn’t understand the concept. I didn’t know how to prep meals, grocery shop, season etc. I basically survived off a typically American diet until I developed an eating disorder. I know fun, right? Lol. I was supper unhealthy and later developed digestion issues. This app has helped me plan my whole week, which is extremely important to me! The cooking instructions are super clear and the fact I’m able to adjust my eating preferences and there are still 100s of meals to choose from is wow! The developer of this app definitely deserves some points because as someone who was failed by their parents and system on how to be an adult and care for themselves this has helped me in more ways than you know! I introduced this app to my siblings as well and it’s helped them a tremendous amount!

Phenomenal. This app completely blew me away. I had been using meal delivery services for a couple of years because it simplified shopping and kept things interesting with a different selection. But I had so many quality issues, and the amount that I paid was pretty high for the convenience. This app has completely replaced those meal services for me and has saved me SO much money. I have never seen such a well made app with so many capabilities built into it. I can literally plan my meals, and shop all in the same interface. It is absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this app. I pay the tiny fee for pro, but the free experience is amazing too. I have never had the app crash, or glitch on me. I could not sing the praises of this app more. I’m trying new foods, eating more vegetables, saving a bunch of money, and producing less food waste than if I planned meals without the app. Plus WAY less environmental impact than meal delivery services when you think about shipping, packaging, and all of the plastic waste that comes with those.

Pretty good - better than other meal planning apps for sure. I really like this app and got pro like the next day. It’s important to mention you have to have PRO to see breakfast options although there aren’t a lot ( this is something I’d like to see expand a lot more. Maybe even a brunch section instead as I know breakfast can get repetitive). My biggest grip at the moment is a faster way to import recipes ( my browser extension isn’t working and I really don’t want to use create recipe as it’s time consuming). Hoping I come up with a faster solution because that is the only reason I’d see me cancelling I really like that lots of simple but stunning recipes are provided. They are simple, colorful and appealing in nutrition and taste. The recipes empower you to be your own chef each week and they are simple enough to do that, but tasty enough to show off and say hey I did this thing! I really like that btw I forgot to add you can choose your own recipes for meal plans each week or have a random one curated for you based off like, dislikes, and eating preferences.

Life saver. UPDATE: still loving this app! Even more now with the no hands cooking feature! I have discovered some of the best tasting recipes I’ve ever had within this app as well! I really love this app so far. Thank you for the most recent update giving us the ability to see our previous meal plans and opening the old recipes. I was getting frustrated because I had started a new meal plan since it was time to go grocery shopping but I had one recipe left on my previous meal plan to still make. Once I created my new meal plan I couldn’t figure out how to find the recipe again without creating it all over again with that old recipe included then having to delete all the ingredients from my grocery list since I already had them. Then I open the app the very next day and it was updated with this issue solved! Perfect timing! I don’t pay for hardly any premium apps but I am highly considering upgrading to the premium to be able to add my own recipes.

Absolutely download this app!!. I love this app! Disclaimer* I upgraded to the Pro version to support the app but I used this app for a long time with the free version and it was still amazing! My husband is a picky eater, and while I love to cook I would never consider myself a ‘cook’. This app has allowed me to add some amazing recipes into our routine. The variety of recipes is great, and I am now confident cooking Indian and Mediterranean inspired dishes as well as some Asian and American staples. The app has also helped introduce us to new ingredients, those exotic ones you see in the produce section and want to try but have no idea.... yeah they are here and will help you cook amazing meals with them! I even have my husband eating soups(which he swore he hated) and we now regularly eat home cooked meals that my coworkers are jealous of. Meal prep is easy, you can set the setting to make more then plenty for left overs. You can adjust your macros(some in the free but very specific in the pro) so even if you have special dietary needs this app can help. I highly recommend this app, even if you use it once in awhile you will be happy with it!

Amazing. I love this app! Almost everything we have tried has been a 4 or 5. The recipes are balanced and healthy. Most importantly it has simplified my meal planning. I actually look forward to using the app to plan meals. The cooking function is incredibly useful and include timers. I do pay for the pro membership, (very inexpensive compared to similar services) but I think the free version is also incredibly useful. I have also been impressed with how often new recipes are added. Honestly, this review would be very long if I wrote about everything that’s great about this app. You just have to try it. The only downside for me is a minor and possibly picky issue. I enjoy cooking seasonally and when I have tried the apps recommended plans (this is an optional function) I’m often offered recipes with Brussels sprouts or winter squash and it’s currently July. The recipes themselves look great, but maybe in October. Overall 5/5

Wow! Just wow!. I don’t write reviews, but I had to for this one! I tried my first 6 recipes with them and they were all amazing! There are so many recipes to choose from without getting the premium (paid) subscription. I went ahead and subscribed though so I could support this wonderful app. When I first started it asked for what types of meals I wanted and then gave me a chance to tell them ingredients I don’t like, or have allergies to. My recipe options turned out perfectly for my family! My favorite part is when I make a meal plan, picking however many meals I want, it calculates my shopping list into one conveniently organized list, separated buy department at the store. I have Walmart+ and get my groceries delivered. So I just take the list they make me, and type it into my order. I love that I don’t have to add the ingredients from the separate recipes to organize the list myself. This whole system for me is like getting one of those expensive home delivery meal plans for much, much cheaper. The way the shopping list is made it helps cut down on food waste too! I just absolutely love Mealime!!!!!

Happiness is Mealime. My husband and I work full time and have always had a hard time meal planning. We both have food allergies so eating out is complicated as well. This has led to a lot of hangry nights trying to figure out what to eat. Enter Mealime. I can plan our meals in minutes. I select the 4 person meals so we can eat the same dinner 2 nights in a row to make life easier. Our groceries budget has decreased dramatically and I have more room in my fridge and pantry but I have meals to use the ingredients I have on hand. It’s way less food waste than when we would just buy food on sale and create something during the week. Instead of going to 2-3 stores to shop sales, I now save so much money that I am saving I can just go to 1 store and buy everything even if it’s full price. We haven’t upgraded to the pro version yet but if they do a recipe import feature I’ll be upgrading! The free version is awesome. It might have a few issues with editing the plan but even still this thing is the best app I’ve ever downloaded. The food is amazing. The Korean Beef Bowl is one our favorite recipes, and the Cobb Salad is super yummy too. Keep up the good work Mealime. I almost feel you should turn non-profit since you are do-gooders and go donation based. You might make more money by saving families and moms from the dreaded meal planning and list preparation! 😜

It’s amazing. It’s amazing for people who need to plan their meals but it doesn’t have all the serving sizes you need and I wish it had a family mode so you can choose different meal plans for different families (e.g. folder of recipes for different families if you have a step family or someone moved out).

Love this app. Super easy to set up with dietary restrictions/dislikes. Shopping list is genius, can add and remove things easily and is set out in sections (e.g. fruit and veg, meat, dairy, etc). Recipes are easy to follow, laying out all kitchen tools, having the ingredients also integrated into the recipe so no scrolling back and forth to find out how much soy sauce you need to use in this step. Food was also delicious.

Literally don’t know how I lived before this app. Absolute game changer. Meals are delicious, easy to make and versatile. Sooo many options even on the free version, and always new meals coming out. I’m enjoying cooking and eating dinners more than ever!

The best app of it’s kind. And believe me I’ve tried many. This is coming from a free-only user perspective, it’s quite possible some paid apps beat out Meallime, but the free version of this app is powerful, versatile, and there aren’t key features locked behind a paywall, only convenience ones. It’s simple and gets straight to the point, while still giving all the important features and info. I truly love this app, and if there was a lifetime/one-off purchase option I’d buy in a heartbeat. Only thing that would make it better would be a dark mode.

Just use Google and save your money. $10 a month for recipes you can find online for free is ridiculous, the app is ok but the developers are greedy. It is worth a one off payment of $10 but not “pay me forever” have uninstalled. Have reduced the star rating based on the developer response. There are thousands of recipes online so I can’t see how this warrants $120 a year to add new content. I would recommend using Phillips free NutriU app as it does everything this does and doesn’t price-gouge.

No waste, no worries!. We had a big problem with food waste at my house. I always bought the same groceries, and threw out so much wasted food. I never knew what to cook, I’d just stare into my cupboard and wait for inspiration. Now, I choose a variety of meals in advance, Mealime sort out my portion-controlled shopping list for me. I add some household items to my list, and head to the supermarket. I don’t buy things I don’t need, and I don’t throw out wasted food at the end of the week. Thank you mealime!

Changed my life. I never even review apps but this one is worth it. I used the free version for a couple of months no and have just upgraded to pro version because it’s so could. You wouldn’t have to, I was just using it so much and sure I would use the extra features. Using this app has taught me how to cook. I went from eating takeout every other night (with terrible pasta in between) to cooking every night and I love it. I used to hate cooking but this app helps it make sense to me.

So great!. I have been raving about this app, it’s like Hello Fresh for people who live outside Hello Fresh delivery areas or who prefer to do their own local shopping. We live in a regional area with a Woolworths so I can source Woollies groceries through the app and meat/vegetables from our local butcher/grocer. I love the convenience and the new and tasty recipes to follow, the savings in $ and much less food waste.

Easy menu planning - love it!. Really enjoy this app. Great to menu ideas and like the collated shopping list. I adjust ingredient portions cos sometimes seems more than I would normally use for 6 of us but taste of food is great, easy to follow recipes and reasonable on a budget. Overall I think user friendly and looking at upgrading to Pro

Compelled to give it 5 stars!. I’m genuinely in love with the efficiency and simplicity of this app. As a college student and a person with loads of allergies, this app saves me time while also offering me amazing recipes which automatically pulls down the cookware and grocery items needed! Someone who’s inexperienced with cooking, this app is a life saver. This is the first app ever that I’m voluntarily writing a review on lol. This app is selfless in a way that it offers great options without paying. And if you can go premium then definitely do it! Great job guys!

Very good. App is very intuitive and well designed. Lots of great features and delicious food. Will probably upgrade to pro once I am over the free recipes. Recipes can be a little bit confusing at times but overall we love it.

Good but complicated. This app has some really good healthy recipes but for your average person I found that the meals were very complicated and to way too long to make for a weekday dinner. The recipes were good but nothing amazing! I would like to see them utilise more common “already have in the cupboard” type products as shopping for a whole week of these plans is quite expensive!

Trying it out. I feel it’s a little early to properly rate this app but let me tell you my initial thoughts. I used this for 3 meals last week, I was really happy with each of the meals (cooking for 4, 2 adult kids) and they turned out like the picture. The portion size was good as well, one meal I added a bread stick to the table because I wasn’t sure if my 17 year old son would have enough, but it really wasn’t needed. I’ll try a few more meals and then I’ll probably subscribe, I found the shopping list made life easy and the cooking instructions well set out.

It’s an everyday app for me!. Such a great time saver, I love the grocery list, the recipes are delicious and it takes out all of the umming and ahhing about what’s for dinner. I recommend this to friends and family frequently! Well done guys, two big enthusiastic thumbs up!

Amazing app and Delicious food. This app is amazing! It is so easy to work and the meals are delicious and so simple. The ingredients for the meals are so easy to get and some of the meals are my new favourite foods now! But it should be easier to remove a meal from your weekly plan. But other than that the app is brilliant and the meals are so healthy and delicious! Thank you so much for the app!

Good for so many reasons. Meals are good and tasty, has been life changing for meal planning and organisation as well as reducing food waste. I have a young family and am still adjusting to having a school routine. Mealime has made life so much easier - we can share meal preparation so easily and know that we will have everything we need. Our shopping is so much more efficient too since we only get what we need. So many good reasons to use this app.

Brilliant!!!. I NEVER write app reviews, but Mealime is just so phenomenal that I felt compelled to do one. This app makes preparing, shopping and cooking your meals easy and fun. It saves you heaps of money and the meals are freaking DELICIOUS!!! The shopping list lets you add anything extra you need such as laundry or personal items. I have become a serial pest among my friends and family because I’m constantly spruiking Mealime..... I feel like a crazy cult convert 😂😂😂. Seriously- check this app out. It is simply amazing. Thanks Mealime Crew - you are ROCK STARS! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

Best meal planner app ever!!!. For just $2.99/month subscription this has been the cheapest, yet best meal planning app I’ve found. It’s easy to use and there’s loads of delicious recipes! I really appreciate how detailed the nutritional information is and the automatic generated grocery list makes grocery shopping that much easier. The app also has an interesting take on food waste - it can create meals plans that use similar ingredients to make bulk-buying easier to avoid buying 50 different ingredients for just 3 meals. It even tracks how much waste you’ve saved! If you love to cook but need help with organisation this app takes the hassle out and puts the fun in!

Easy, Highly recommenced. I’ve just starting using the free version. I have been purchasing meal plans for years now but this has to be the quickest easiest cheapest option to organise meals! Choices of dietary requirements also an option to exclude any ingredients you may have allergies to or just not like. Love this!

This app is a lifesaver. Thank you so much I love this app I’ve used it since 2021 weekly and I still love it more than anything. I recommend to my friends all the time! I have celiac disease and it’s made my life so much easier really truly thank you.

Recommended.. I love this app, the shopping list purchase integration is essential. I deducted a star because of missing features: Lots of diets are listed in preferences but not Mediterranean. Please add it! I have to scroll so much to reach the right section, and I’m sure there are other recipes that would suit the diet that aren’t in the Mediterranean section. The meal plan generation only generated a shopping list. I though if I added a few main meals it would generate an actual meal plan with common ingredients. Would be nice! Even nicer if you can state macros - 40% fat, and get a meal plan that meets that for the day. I’ve seen this in other actual meal plan apps but I can’t pass up the integrated shopping in this app. Keep up the good work!

Fantastic app. This app is amazing! I always dread the weekly grocery shop and choosing meals for the week, but this app has made it easy! I really love the shopping list feature especially how it is organised into groups, and the selection of recipes is awesome! The majority of the collection are things are healthy and relatively simple to make

Almost perfect. This app is amazing. Helps reduce waste, plan for the week and provides you with affordable delicious recipes. The only improvement would be if you could link it with fitness apps such as MyFitnessPal etc. highly recommend 👌😉

Fantastic Features and Food. This app is really well laid out. It’s handy to have the ability to choose certain diet options (eg low carb, vegan etc), the meals are relatively easy and always delicious and make you look like a great cook. The grocery list function is fantastic too, it helps you plan your meals for the week and gives you a grocery list that you can tick off as you find you already have the items in the fridge or as you purchase in store. The search function is also very helpful if you have certain ingredients you want to get rid of. Overall an excellent app that has been thought out well, and is both aesthetically pleasing and highly useful. Great work.

Best meal planning and recipe/cooking app!. Mealime is fantastic and turns the ‘hassle task’ of thinking about what to cook and planning for the week ahead into a fun task of scrolling through and finding good meals, select the ones you want and it gives you the shopping list, check off what you have already and go grab it at the shops. The list is categorized too so makes for efficient walking through the grocery store. There’s also a wide range of dietary requirements to filter with so your meals match your requirements/preferences. I’ve found gluten-free/coeliac menu planners hard to find and services like Hello Fresh don’t have good selection for it. This app will improve your home lifestyle.

Absolutely amazing. Mealime has changed my life!! First of all, I never write a review but this needs to be shared to whoever wanna get quick healthy dishes and may not like cooking or trying to find joy in cooking haha! in fact, I did not like cooking at all especially cause it would often take ages and then still not taste good! What a waste! But with Mealime, I’ve been starting to fall in love with cooking the first time for years! For real, those recipes aren’t just super tasty but also budget friendly and super healthy (the majority). Has been helping me to adopt a new diet into my life! Love it😍😍

The best food app I’ve found!. After searching endlessly for an App to make meal prep and planning easier, I was overwhelmed by many apps that count calories or are focused on nutrition values. As I was recovering from an illness, I wanted something that was not going to be triggering and focused on dieting- and easy to to access as a plant based eater. Mealime fit all of this! The recipes are delicious- even my husband who isn’t vegetarian or vegan LOVES them! The app is really easy to access and I particularly love the grocery list option- it’s made our busy life so much easier. A lifesaver for many- thanks Mealime!

Very good and healthy meals. I have been using this app for about three months now. The meals are healthy and delicious. They are also child friendly and not too spicy (but then you can make them if you want). I wasn’t making the meals for weight loss but I’ve noticed I’m losing weight slowly even though I still enjoy a good meal. Some of the meals too are something different to what I am used to, I try them and they always turn out nice. I would highly recommend this app.

BESTT APP EVERR. Hello!! I love your app its soooo good! The food is amazing, easy to make and theres so many options! Other than that, your one of the few apps that actually care about advice and reviews. I’ve decided to write another review because i remember a month or so ago i sent you guys something asking for french toast and its on the app now 😭🙌🙌 thankyou so much. This app has helped me so much to eat better food other than packaged stuff. Wish you all the best!!

Delicious meals with good personalisation options. Pros: Great little app with easy meals which have combinations of food you may not usually combine but that taste delicious and take you by surprise! We’re in our second week of using the app and we haven’t had a meal we haven’t enjoyed yet, which has impressed us. Cons: There’s a few little bugs that need to be ironed out and it’s a big jump cost-wise to upgrade, which is the only reason we won’t be as it’s a very clever app.

A gift of gold. Only just commenced using this app but I’m already finding it to be fabulous. So easy to navigate and I love all the recipes. Only took me a moment to work out and very reasonable pricing if you want to upgrade. Thoroughly recommend and thank the makers and chefs behind the making and sharing of this app. It’s simply the best and a gift of gold.

LOVING IT! 🥰. Best app on the store for meal recipes, meal prepping and food intake. Have been using the grocery list feature a lot to reduce food waste and only buy what I need, definitely has helped me right now with keeping a healthy diet during COVID-19 lockdown! Thank you so much for having a large variety of meals for free members, wish the pro version was just a one off purchase if I could say anything else.

Best recipe app love it. Love this app. Love the free recipes, the way you can customise serving sizes and the hands free step by step guides. Also love the shopping list and link up to online shopping. It’s great for people who like me don’t love cooking as it’s easy to use and it adds flavour to meals.

Almost perfect. Love love love this app, it’s made my meal planning so much easier and has integrations with Australia’s biggest supermarkets. Only 3 things I’d love to see improved. Filtering recipes on multiple criteria, the ability for own recipe quantities to be included in the syndicated grocery list and an option to switch on international naming conventions I.e. cilantro in Australia is coriander. Those last bits are holding me back from a 5 star rating.

Big help for busy families. I have really enjoyed the planning and shopping list part of this app as it is a real time saver. Easy to choose recipes but I have found that I have to look up some ingredients as they don’t always translate well from American to Australian. All in all, a good time saver.

A Great App!!. This app is really helpful, even if you don’t make any in app purchases! Meal-time is amazing... and it’s really helped me to be organised!!! Firstly, you can choose your amount of servings, diets, dietary requirements, and dislikes in food, and the app finds you many recipes which suit what you want! You can add 1-7 meals per week to plan out, in which a shopping list is included! Additionally, you can enter cooking mode when following a recipe, in which you place your hand over the screen to move to the next step to avoid making your device dirty. I love this app, and I definitely recommend it!

Grocery list suggestion. I mainly use this app for the grocery list feature. It would be great to have a section for commonly added items. I also find that some popular items are not listed in the correct category. Pepsi Max always goes under other by default, where it’s a fairly common beverage. It would be great for that filtering to update over time. Although, if it had a frequently added section it may not be as big of a problem.

Amazing. After having a rotation of the same meals and apps that have ridiculously healthy meals, I found this app and love it! It has realistic meals that are classic and enjoyable. I look so forward to using the meal planner every week and the grocery list stops me from straying at the shops! Love it

Exceeded expectations. After years of looking for a meal plan app that would simplify my weekly shopping and give me a variety of recipes that meet my nutritional goals, I discovered this app. I love that this app does all the work for me. It is simple and easy to use. I’m doing my grocery shop in a third of the time, my grocery bill has halved, I can now consistently get dinner on the table in under 40 minutes, we’re eating nutritious food and we’ve hugely minimised our household waste. Thank you so much!

Great app, not enough new recipes. Fantastic app. By far its greatest feature is the ability to group together the same ingredients from multiple recipes and put a total amount required + grouping ingredients in their categories. Fresh produce, meat and poultry, etc. Needs a constant flow of fresh new recipes, which really downgrades the app, especially because it’s a subscription service for pro.

Phenomenal!. I never write reviews, but Mealime is just genuinely so good I felt compelled to. It saves us so much time and money (sometimes each meal is as little as $3 per serving!). Meals are seasonal, delicious, and so easy to prepare. I like how the app provides alternatives to items that you might not be able to find and the layout is so easy to use. I can’t fault it, seriously has changed my life for the better! Thank you Mealime!!

My new favourite app. I’m in love with this meal app. Not only are the recipes easy and to follow and yummy but, you can chose serving sizes from 2, 4 or 6 serves and calculates the ingredients for you. It makes shopping so easy as it generates a shopping list that you can cross off if you already have the item on hand or take it with you to the supermarket. I think it’s great you can also add other grocery items you need for the week so you don’t need any other list other than this app!! I’m so glad I stumbled onto this

In love with this app!. I have been using this app for a few weeks now and I am absolutely in love with it! Makes meal planning and grocery shopping so incredibly simple. I love how you can tell it your eating preferences etc and it remembers them. Provides so many wonderful recipes. My household LOVES the meals and variety and we now eat so much healthier because we have a plan and no longer make it up on the fly. I have been telling EVERYONE about this great app and they all think it is great too.

Life changing!. I have never eaten healthier in my life because these recipes are so fresh and flavorsome that I don’t mind I’m eating so many veggies! I look forward to cooking every day now I’m using this app and it makes grocery shopping a breeze. I never buy more than I need so my costs are down as well as not eating junk food. Does crash occasionally when you open but I just reopen straight away - not enough to really bother me or lose a star.

Great for a busy mum!. Easy recipes, steps in a logical and well timed order, even my husband can follow them to help prepare meals and he usually avoids cooking at all costs. Quick- practically all the meals I have made so far have preparation and cook time total half an hour or less so I can start after work and still have time to feed my toddler fresh home cooked meal early enough for her to eat before bath and bed. Basic version has the ability to say what’s already in your pantry so it picks meals that doesn’t need you to do too much groceries shopping to prepare. (Although you need upgraded version to pick a weeks worth of meals that uses only what is already in your house). Makes a grocery list including counts/weights of items so no guessing how much to buy, it is in order of the section of the supermarket, and it is “tickable” so as you get each item you tick it off the list. I’m only a bit over a dozen recipes in, but I think I’ll be using it for a while yet!

Great app and recipes. Combined with online grocery ordering, Mealime has cut the time I spend at the shops to almost zero. Almost nothing is wasted either which I love. It would be great if recipe cards with timed steps could have an actual timer button directly in them (on each step). Eg “boil potato 2 mins” timer. At the moment I have to switch out of the app to the stopwatch which could be so much better.

Almost perfect. This app is great but there are couple of improvements needed. I’ve set my default measurements to metric but imperial measurements are persistent throughout the app this is really annoying because I need to google the conversion every time. I love how ingredients are listed at each step of the method - that is awesome - just make sure its works in metric please :) I’d also love it if each recipe had nutritional information. Thanks for creating this app, it saves me heaps of time!

Game-changing App. This meal planner is a god-send! I love how I’m able to create meal-plan options which incorporate what I have in my fridge and pantry. This is genius! No more throwing away wasted food! Note to developers - after ticking off all of my pantry and fridge staple items and a few fruit and veggies which needed using up, I went out of the meal-plan and lost ALL of my selected items! I had to start again and re-select everything. Please add a feature where staple items can be kept saved. Thank you! LOVE the app, though👌👍👍

Quality of life Suggestion:. Great app for storing your own recipes. Recommend it for everyone, however. In the your recipes page there is no way to sort through your collections. We need the tab to view our collections in a location other than just the selecting this weeks recipe to cook

Custom recipes. Adding custom recipes is quite buggy. Removing doesn’t always update the list. Spent ages adding custom recipes to find this bug, really frustrating. Also adding a realistic number of meals for a week makes the list really hard to manage/ visualise in both list and calendar views It’s a shame because the app looked really promising, but just doesn’t work well enough. Cancelled my subscription and will be requesting a refund via Apple

Excellent!. Great recipes that are easy to follow! Highly recommend!

Great app - wish recipes came more frequently. I’ve been happily paying for the premium version of this app for a couple of years. Now it’s one of my favourite apps partly because you get recipes for full meals not just each dish at a time. The recipes are well thought out and usually taste great. my only wish is that the app get more recipe updates than 10 or so every month. We are now finding ourselves having cooked everything from the app that we wanted.

Recipes locked behind a paywall ruins everything.. I immediately see the benefit of an app like this, but the monetization makes this broken and unusable. As soon as I went to add a basic recipe like chicken parm and got told to spend $8 a month I was done. You have to let people use the app enough to see the benefit of a pro membership. This is the wrong way to monetize this app.

I don’t see the advertised options. Ad says you can list groceries you have on hand and app will give you ideas for what to make with them to use them up. However I don’t see that anywhere on the app. I only see how to create a meal plan and make a grocery list for it. I already know how to do that.

Great app. This app is great the only thing I think it’s missing the being able to share the app with my wife so we can have the same list same groceries.

Amazing app. I love this app, the recipes are all super simple yet delicious and it’s easy to put your own spin on them, I love that it tells you the nutritional content and calories (with pro) and that it generates a groceries list that you can take to the store and check off the stuff you have. If you’re running out of meal and snack ideas, this is the app for you. 10/10

This app is the only reason we are able to successfully meal plan :). Thanks Mealime!

Download this App!!!. I can’t say enough good things about Mealime. I use it for dinners everyday, and I’ve cut my grocery bills in HALF by doing weekly online grocery pick up, and cut down on a lot of food waste too. I don’t use the built in online grocery order function but use my own and it’s totally easy enough to do it that way. The recipes are good and there’s some unique flavours which is nice! I love to cook and be creative in the kitchen so I was a little nervous it would take away from that but so far I don’t mind that aspect being a busy mom. If you prefer bolder flavours as I do it’s easy enough to add a few extra spices, although *generally* the recipes are good as is. Seriously give it a try, especially if you’re crazy busy and want to not stress about dinner, and/or you’re on a budget!

Very convenient and delicious. This app is really useful! I feel there is less food waste at home since we started using it and the recipes are so tasty!

Yum!. Fantastic recipes and great app for meal planning!

One of the best. We’re not ones for takeout but needed to start adding some new recipes to our circle. I love the ease of this app and I am pleasantly surprised by the tastes. These are flavourful, and large portion sizes. I’ve upgraded to Pro recently to get the nutrition fact breakdown as well as the other recipes. I like that I can pick my meals, curate a grocery list and add to it for the “extra” things we need to get through the week. My food waste is down substantially and finding that my trip to the grocery stores costing less. Really a great addition to our weekly planning!

Saves time for busy moms!. I haven’t paid for the pro version of the app yet because the free version has pretty decent functionality. I am considering it though, because it’s wonderful and I want to try more recipes and support the team! I love not having to think of what to have for dinner, find a simple weeknight recipe, and make my own shopping list. This app also saves money on your grocery bill by providing recipes with typically sold portions of perishable ingredients. It also allows you to add your own recipes and groceries to the list as well. Kudos to the chefs creating the recipes behind the scenes, you rock!

Best app for lazy cook. I like using this app, it makes me want to cook. It builds a grocery list, it’s perfect.

Great app!. I have been using this app for a month, and it’s great. All recipes were very tasty and are fairly simple to make. Thumbs up!

Allergy choices. This app comes highly recommended and I’m excited to check it out. However the allergy list is insufficient. For example I have a major allergy to tomatoes and the only thing I can choose is a dislike to raw tomatoes, it’s an allergy, not a dislike. I have many more food allergies and the list does not accommodate. Perhaps this can be improved in a future update.

Absolutely love this app!. Mealime is so full of great meal inspiration, and all the ones I’ve made myself have been delicious! The cook along feature is very nice and I would highly recommend this app to anyone who likes new ideas for meals and who like to have a recipe at their fingertips. Also I should mention that I have several dietary restrictions, but I have found plenty of recipes that I can cook from this app.

First Meal Plan App I’ve Stuck With. A really decent price, and every recipe is good! It helps me expand my horizons, and not over-buy at the grocery store. I’ve tried a lot of meal plan apps, this is the only one I can see myself continually using.

The do-it-all app. Every time i open this app, i find a new thing it can do. Online grocery shop for you? Sure. Collect recipes outside of the app? You got it. Make meal plans to minimize food waste? Sounds good. Lots of allergy and lifestyle menus? Absolutely. Timers built in for each step? Yup. Recommendations on equipment to buy? For sure. It’s fantastic. I do wish there was a way to browse recipes and “save” them to try in future meal plans? I feel like with this many recipes, it would be nice to browse without losing your current plan.

Love the app. Have tried many recipes. Saved me when my daughter became a vegetarian. Love the shopping list & directions are super easy to follow. Have ‘favourited’ over 90% of meals tried.

Excellent. Easily the best app to plan and minimize waste while keeping variety even with a restricted diet. I downloaded this because my partner struggles with gastro issues. All the recipes are restaurant grade and easy to understand. Set your restrictions and poof, great recipes, grocery list compiled and even let’s you integrate to your favorite grocery store for easy ordering. We’ve saved money and introduced more great options into our diets. Portions are accurate, but if you have teens, definitely bump up the portion filters. 100% recommended.

The best FREE resource for home cooked meals. I’ve been using the Mealime app for almost two weeks and I’m hooked. I loved the first meal plan so much that I reused it for the second week. I’ve got three young children at home and normally I can’t find the time to cook for myself so I always end up eating junk late at night. Since finding this app, I am making the time to cook these easy, healthy, delicious meals. They are quick 30-40 mins meals with easy to follow instructions and as a bonus they are a real hit with the kids! I’ve tried meal kits. I’ve used other apps to help with grocery tracking. I’ve read meal planning and recipes blogs. The Mealime app has by far exceeded my expectations and may become the single most important FREE resource for my own personal health journey.

Amazing!. I love this app! I hate trying to think of meals and what to buy at the grocery store. I used to throw away sooo much food. Meallime generates a shopping list with exact amounts. I’m fairly certain this app has quite literally saved my marriage. My husband not only shops for me now, but we take turns cooking too!

Love this app!. Meal planning for my family’s has always been a chore, trying to keep it interesting, and plan for an entire family’s tastes is hard. With this app I have the meals and grocery list ready to go in minutes. The recipes are delicious, preference specific, and easy to make. I can add other items to the list too, and check items off all in one place. I highly recommend this app for working parents!

The BEST cooking app you’ve never heard of.. I was told by a friend that they really enjoyed this app, and i had to get her to spell it as i had never heard of it before! I ended up downloading it and i’m glad I did! I love the recipe categories, and when you go into a recipe i love how the instructions are broken down with the ingredients for that step listed… cuts down on scrolling. I have used the grocery list feature and it also works way better than any other I have tried. I’m currently using the free version but i think i’ll be upgrading to the subscription. I have tried two recipes, both were easy and clear with no weird ingredients. (Did i mention you can tell this app what you HATE and it will exclude those foods?). After a few more recipes tries, i’ll be ready to dive in to the paid subscription and that is saying a lot - I never buy these things’

Highly recommend. This app has made dinners easy. Planning, shopping, and cooking is greatly improved. This is the only app I’m willing to support with a monthly subscription fee. I’ve recommended this app to all my friends and family.

French please!!!!. French please

So far loving it. I tried a lot of meal planning apps before I settled for this one. Some I found too complicated or frustrating. For this one it suited what I was looking for almost perfectly.

Very polished app. Great job the to team of developers! Bought premium to support Canadian devs ❤️

Option français?. Bonjour, j’adore jusqu’à maintenant l’application. Par contre, je n’ai pas l’option d’avoir l’application en français. Serait-il possible d’ajouter des options de langues? Merci!

Unique, Innovative Features. This app is so creative and well-composed. I appreciate what the developers did to make it user-friendly and interesting. Tons of recipes to choose from (all of which have been delicious so far), with an in-app feature for essentially every part of the cooking process. I love how there is the touchless cooking mode and how all of the recipes can be easily followed and adjusted. This app has many useful customization options as well and the grocery list is a great idea. I’m a broke university student so i’m yet to get the premium version but even then it’s not costly compared to meal subscriptions. Thank you for what you’ve created!

Makes groceries and meals easier. Has been great for our families supper planning. Great that it helps make a grocery list. Most used app in my phone.

Wish I could share. We love this app, it has great recipes and helps save us money at the store. Only thing I wish it had was the ability to share the meal plan with my spouse.

10/10 would recommend.. This app was recommended to me by a friend and it has seriously simplified my life. I get the app to choose the best 4 recipes for me (while reducing food waste) and it puts the grocery list together for me. After checking what I have and don’t have in my cupboard I order my groceries online and it’s like having Hello Fresh or Good Food but without the extra cost. The meals I’ve made so far have all been fantastic, husband and kid approved too. 10/10 would recommend.

grocery connect. the idea is great however i’m in canada and can’t connect my instacart

Great. Great app just wish I could add meals mid-plan without having to start over, as this kind of seems like an oversight from the dev team. For context if you want to add a meal after having started your week it forces you to start everything over.

So helpful!. I don’t mind cooking - However, meal planning and knowing what to shop for has never been my favourite. This app makes it so easy to plan and grocery shop for the week. I hand the phone over to my boyfriend and have him pick a meal or two and now we spend lots of quality time cooking together. It’s started making me enjoy cooking quite a bit!

Amazing app!. I recommend this app to everyone. It’s a seamless experience to meal plan, auto-creates a grocery list, and integrates with online grocery delivery.

Wondering why I can’t print or export my grocery list. Why doesn’t the app let me print a grocery list? I’m not going to take my iPad to the grocery store. Seems like an obvious feature to have... what’s up?

Meal planning made SO easy. If you've ever struggled with meal planning because it takes to much brain power and planning, then this app will save you. This app has so many tasty meals, and many customizations to tailor to specific diets, and makes it so easy to just pick a few recipes for the week, and it then guides you through ordering the groceries for delivery online as well. It's the full-meal-deal as they say.

3 stars on the sole reason the app is not gear for the visually impared. The app itself has great menu choices. We’ve enjoyed every single one so far and the diversity of meals is a great plus. HOWEVER, the app itself lacks in the ability to increase the text size even when the IOS font size is increased does not help, so much so I have to have my spouse read off the instructions. Using the shopping list on my iPhone is useless…I just can’t read the ingredients. I may have to look elsewhere for another cooking app.

Would like to be able to see grocery lists for previous meals. I like this app so far. One thing I don’t like is that I can’t see grocery lists for previous meal plans unless I replace the current meal plan. Also, they need to add more recipes.

Sucks unless you pay for pro. Plan on spending 70$ a year for this to be useful. Can only put one of your own recipes in for free, and can not access any of the “pro” recipes which is most of them.

So pleased. Honestly so happy with this app! after a few weeks I was sold and upgraded to pro

Awesome app. This is so easy to use! Even the free version has tons of easy to make recipes!

$$$. I love the free version of this app. It's almost as easy as those delivery meal boxes. Plan your meals and have the Grocery list and instructions all in one place. I was ready to sign up for the pro version but I was completely turned away by the price. I'd like to support your team for doing a great job but not to the tune of $70 per year. Sorry but I'll be sticking with the free version,

SO GOOD. I’m a university student and this saved my life!! Cant wait to see all the new recipes they come out with. It would be cool and helpful to have video instructions for super complex meals but I’m not quite there yet :)

AMAZING GET THIS APP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I originally got this app for my mom because she was having hard times finding good recipes, and then I told her about this, and she’s now obsessed

I love it. I’ve been using this app off and on for years and I recommend it to everyone who seems like they’re looking for meal plan options. It’s better than purchasing the food from a meal delivery service. You pick your setting and dietary preferences, select for how many people you’re cooking. Then pick your recipes and the app creates a meal plan for you or go with one of their many recommended weekly meal plans. If you choose their meal plans, you’ll basically eat different versions of similar foods all week. Which is amazing if you don’t have a lot of fridge space or prefer to buy bulk. Once your meal plans are selected it creates a grocery list for you containing all the food and spices in the recipes and their amounts. Then, you take your list to your pantry and check off the items you already have and they get moved to the bottom. The list is organized so if you go to the store the items in each category should be in the same isle. But! The magic part is that you can upload the grocery list to your favourite grocery store and either have them deliver it or you go pick it up (keeping in mind that store’s May charge for the service)!! You’re shopping local. Your food is fresh. You have little to zero food waste. You’re getting a variety of nutrients due to the different recipes. The free version has hundred of recipes and the pro version is cheap! You can cancel and resubscribe anytime. You don’t have to stare at your fridge for an hour trying to decide what to make, abandon that idea because you’re starving and go fill your boots with unhealthy fast food. The only thing I wish it had was a diabetic meal plan option and an option to enter foods I already have where recipes pop up with those ingredients.

Best meal prep. I’ve been using the app for a week for free. Must say that this is the best weekly meal prep app ever!!!! Love that I can choose my own recipes, and recipes include a main protein dish and veggie side. We are technically 5 in our family (3 adults, 2 twins at 20 months), but have been able to feed us all on the 4 person servings. The grocery list is amazing! Not only does it calculate what I need for each meal, but it allows me to remove items I already have, and add extra household items I need. I would like to add comments to recipes and see reviews of them, but believe I need to upgrade to do so. The price seems a little high for an app, but if after 2 weeks I am still enjoying it, will consider signing up for a year. It would be nice to be able to add breakfasts and lunches. I have not found an app that can do everything this app does, even with the free version. Thank you for creating this amazing meal prep app!!!!

Great meal planning app!. I love so much about this app!! First, users are able to make selections to identify what type of recipes they generally like: how many servings that they usually make at a time (2, 4 or 6), the type of diet that they eat (I chose flextarian as I eat meat, but not every meal) and then users can specify ingredients that they don’t like. Second, I love the recipes that they offer. They are just the kind of recipes that I like to make. They are interesting but not complicated and reflect the food choices that I usually eat. And, I like the results! Third, the user interface is very easy to navigate. The recipes are all grouped in categories that makes it easy to find the kind of recipes that you want, and there are pictures and titles on the recipes so you can quickly scroll through the recipes. Lastly, once you’ve chosen your recipes for the week, all the ingredients you will need to make all the recipes are conveniently consolidated. It’s a snap to eliminate the ingredients that you already have, and so you’re left with an organized grocery list of what you need to buy. The free version has plenty of recipes available, and this is one of those apps that I am tempted to upgrade just to make sure that the company keeps the app going. I highly recommend it!

Good but needs some work. I downloaded this after another app I used stopped re-freshing. A pro to this is you can choose your dietary needs which I really liked. However, you can only choose one, where I would liked to have picked 2 options. I keep Paleo but can’t afford to eat meat everyday, hence why I also would like the vegetarian option. My biggest issue is that the Paleo recipes aren’t Paleo. Many of them contain dairy of some sort, which is only allowed with Primal, not Paleo. I’ve also seen legumes which are a big no with both Paleo and Primal, and some added sweeteners which generally should be avoided on these diets. My only reason for giving 3 instead of 4 stars is due to the fact that I must modify most of these recipes to actually be Paleo. I also found the recipes to be similar after a while, and they are mostly lunch/dinner focused with practically no snack or dessert options. That being said, the recipes aren’t loaded with pre-prepared ingredient needs, which I really appreciate, and there’s always something that will help me inspire my next dinner.

So far, so great!. Even under the free option, using this app has been easy and really helpful in planning our meals each week. Both of the recipes we’ve tried have been excellent and a much healthier alternative to the rut of pizza, casserole, basic pasta we had fallen into. We like that it simplifies the time-consuming process of finding recipes, creating a grocery list and cooking into a simple, streamlined series of steps. If it continues to work this way I think I may sign up for the modestly priced $3/mo pro version so I can add our family recipes to the app. If it had Alexa integration then I would say it covers every single base for our family, but nonetheless it is still quite good. Edit: Every. Single. Recipe. (So far) has been excellent - this app is worth more than they ask. Signed up for Pro because we’ve just loved it so far!

Love. This is the only app I’ve ever been willing to pay for the pro options. Even if you use the free version it’s still great. I absolutely love this app! I’ve had it for two years now. It builds the grocery list as you add your meals. I love the fact it doesn’t plan meals for you like most apps. You can put together a plan how ever you’d like. The meals are rather simple and super easy to follow the directions. There literally is no better app for making life simple. The only issue I’m having is the meals. They don’t update with new recipes very often. And if they do and you don’t like it, it’s a let down. I’ve tried just about every recipe I’ve been offered and my family and I are pretty bored of them all. I wish I could remove the recipes I don’t care to try and the ones that I didn’t like. I’m considering canceling but only for this reason. I haven’t been using it lately because I’m bored of the food. I still highly suggest this app for busy families!

Wanted to Cut Grocery Cost and Waste. Was looking for an app to help me plan out the weeks meals so I wasn’t buying unnecessary groceries that would go bad and of course to cut down on my grocery bill. I’m really enjoying it so far! I love that you pick your recipes, and it loads up the groceries that you need into a list. You can select what you already have, and then it will even route you straight to your grocery store site so you can order online for pickup (as I always do). The recipes are written out a step at a time, and it’s so smart that you can turn to the next page of a recipe by hovering your hand over your phone screen. No more covering my phone in flour and grease! Just made a very nice spaghetti carbonara and my partner and I loved it! Definitely worth the cost in what it’s going to save me in grocery planning! Check it out!

Love this app!. I really do love this app, referred a lot of people to try it and even upgraded to pro with purchase of annual subscription before you went to monthly just to support Mealtime!! Only one recipe so far I wouldn’t try again and two that are better than ANYTHING I could EVER order from any fine dining restaurant. And there are dozens upon dozens that’s made it into our regular rotations. I use every week!! A couple of a suggestions... -Unless I’ve over looked how, it would be nice to search the recipes while still working from a current meal plan. I’m not sure how to do this without losing the current weeks plan. -the grocery list is almost PERFECT! Only wish is if we could somehow see which meal an ingredient is for since produce seems to go so fast now days. It would allow mid week shopping on some of the items that seem to wilt or go bad so quickly.

Limited function. 👍🏻: seems to have a decent catalog of recipes, though many seem to be various versions of the same recipe… the ability to export to a shopping list is very nice, but every time I did it, several items didn’t get exported to the list. The cooking recipe feature that scrolls when you wave your hand over each step is nice, but it’s not convenient when there are steps supposed to be in tandem with each other. I like that the menu plans include sides and are healthy. We found a few we liked and a few we didn’t care for. 👎🏻: importing recipes from the internet doesn’t work. I tried 12 recipes from 12 different sites and it didn’t get a single one correct. A few were close, but most imported the ingredients as one single ingredient, and if I have to enter each ingredient separately, what’s the point of importing? The recipe catalog is severely limited if you don’t upgrade the subscription… I did pay for the subscription but found the catalog a little repetitive and boring to be honest. I had high hopes but I think I’m going to keep looking.

Mealtime always equals a win for this mom!. There isn’t a thing I don’t love about this app. I’m the beginning there were some things I didn’t love but I made sure to share my comments and now the amount of the ingredients is listed on the instructions page, AND the phone stays awake while the instructions are open 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 I love that I can select certain types of diet and restrictions. I LOVE the shopping list feature. Being able to select items as I add to cart really makes it easy! Plus I can add other household items like the essentials and it keeps everything in one place and my mind focused. Amazing since I’m usually struggling with toddler melt downs and distractions while meal planning and shopping. I pin so many recipes but I make so few. Even if I put the list in my phone of what I’ll need having to screen shot or bookmark a recipe just sadly doesn’t work for me. Meal time politely reminds me to plan for the week and it’s fun to use. I’m just using the free version but am really considering the paid version. That’s how much I love it! If you struggle coming up with dinner ideas, or find yourself making the same 5 things a week, try this app! Even my pickiest eater loves the recipes I’ve selected to make! The whole family can pick a meal and I think that gets everyone more excited! No more butter noodles in this house 🙏🏼😅

Good app, recommended functionality below. I love this app, but it could use some advancements to be great: 1) a way to add recipes and 2) better usability with adding individual shopping cart items. For example, typing the item, and then taking three more steps to edit it is annoying. As for the option to add recipes, it just needs to be a storage option, some place where we can import our own, and still have to individually add everything. It’d be nice to automate that, but this should be step one. No one is going to give up all their recipes to use yours. Yours aren’t that great. The monthly fee Pro version only gets you more recipes, really. If you’re going to charge monthly for this app, you need to provide more than just additional recipes. Additional recipes are nice, but that’s not a better function, it’s just more stuff. Add some functionality that will allow for individualized meal planning for each user. Then, you have something worth charging for monthly.

Useful for all levels!. A lot of the reviews are from people new-ish to cooking saying this app was a great way to get into cooking (yay!) but I’m coming from a slightly different place....I am already pretty into cooking and am a recipe addict. I have a shelf full of cookbooks and a bunch of food blogs I love to follow. However, what I have been missing is easy to make, fully rounded MEALS to get me through busy week nights without having to put in so much thought and effort into what’s for dinner tonight. My old method of cooking just wasn’t sustainable and involved way too much time, money, and food waste- I needed to take it down a notch. Aggregating all the ingredients you’ll need into a single shopping list is convenient, but for me what really made this app a lifesaver is that it’s a one stop shop for recipes for practical, nutritious, and delicious full meals; not just meal components. It really takes off the mental burden of trying to find something to cook for dinner. Love love love it!!

Game changer. I like kits like HelloFresh and plated because it takes the work out of planning meals and grocery shopping but the expense is unsustainable for me. Mealime has been a money and time saver. The recipes are easy to follow and ingredients are common enough to find locally. The shopping list function makes grocery shopping a breeze and has helped me get into a groove of checking my pantry and spice rack before heading to the store. Since you can search for recipes by ingredients I don’t waste as much food as I used to, I simply find meals that use what I have on hand. I also love that I can select items from the grocery list and get info such as appropriate substitutes in case I don’t care for a specific ingredient. I recommend starting with the free version to get a feel for it. My hunch is you will (like me) want the additional features of the pro version. The only thing I wish it could do that it doesn’t is integrate nutrition info into MyFitnessPal or FitBit

Game changer for meal planning!. With the integration with Instacart/Amazon, this app is next-level! It is so easy to creat the meal plan. There are SO MANY options. Then you get the perfectly curated ingredient list. Go through, check off things you already have, and you’re left with your list of groceries. You can go to the store and get that stuff plus whatever else you want for the week. OR you can shoot the list over to your preferred app. I use the Ralph’s app, which also lets me take advantage of my Kroger coupons :-). The grocery list auto populates. It’s worth checking the items (eg. I don’t want the four-ounce half-and-half for the recipe...I want the quart because I need it for coffee...). And then add whatever else you need. I add my assortment of fruits for smoothies and snacks. Pick up the groceries or have them delivered. You’ve got everything you need for your home-cooked meals! I love it!

Huge help for dinner and great for budgeting. I love this app for a few reasons. First, the recipes that I've made (for about a month now) have all been great. We are saving money because the app compiles a grocery list and utilizes the ingredients effectively, so there's little to no food waste. I also love how fresh and healthy the ingredients are. The recipes I've made incorporate more vegetables and fruit than the dinners I've made in the past and my kids eat it all. The shopping list makes it easier to find everything I need for the week in a short amount of time. Most ingredients are used when you make a particular recipe, but others (such as coconut oil) are used for several other recipes. Downsides include not being able to change your meal plan once it's set and they only have primarily dinner recipes so far. I'd like to see lunch and breakfast recipes added in the future.

Saving money & eating healthy!. I love this app, this is all we use now. We pick our meals for the week, and I add to my grocery list which is on the app for my toddler and extra things I need to pick up. I love how it organizes my list, saves time and money! We have the pro version which is SO WORTH IT. You get to pick how many calories, what your dislikes are, etc. it knows I’m a vegetarian. I love how it tells me the nutrition facts too. Only thing that would be awesome is having different meal plans, like quick breakfast and lunch too. And the app always tells you substitutes that you can use I really like that feature the only thing that I would like it to add too is if I making something it can tell me if I should make a side of meat or something to add for my fiancé since he isn’t a vegetarian 🙄 lol but I’m happy this is making him eat less meat and more healthy meals. 🖤 this app has saved this growing family!!

Meal Planning Made Easy. I have been wanting to get on the meal planning train for awhile. I never took the time to find recipes, make the grocery list, and go shopping. This app makes it possible. I absolutely love that you can shop for your ingredients from the list right in the app. I order it for pickup and save so much time. I made my first meal from my plan today and it was delicious and a hit with the fam. My favorite part is that you can add foods you want to avoid or allergies you have and it customizes the recipes to fit your needs. I’m happy knowing I have healthy meal options for my family that are easy to make. I know I will have much less food waste as I’m only buying what is needed. The in app recipe instructions are so helpful with the hands free feature and timers. The premium option is affordable and worth it. I 100% recommend this app.

Wow!!. I can not say enough wonderful things about this app!! I love that we get to decide how many meals we would like to prepare for the week. My fiancé is a school teacher and basketball coach which means lots of after school practices, ballgames and staff meetings. Some weeks we need less meals because of away games etc and some weeks we need more. I absolutely LOVE the shopping list and the fact that I can mark off things we already have. All of the meals are absolutely AMAZING!! Two of my all time faves so far are the BBQ Black Bean burgers and the mushroom and spinach stroganoff! I am vegetarian and my fiancé is not so sometimes I add a “extra” protein to his plate but most of the time he loves the dish as is. The recipes are so quick and easy to make and taste better than any 5 star restaurant I have ever eaten at. I also appreciate the waste calculator and the fact that I’m not throwing away a lot of food. Sunday mornings are now for coffee in bed and menu planning!! Do not let this app pass you by!!

Wow, fantastic, easy recipes for beginning cooks. This app is outstanding. My wife and I have not had a bad recipe yet, and we’re using the free version! We love the integration with Kroger which makes shopping easy. My only issue is that the directions are more for beginner cooks. The directions are actually great, don’t get me wrong. The directions instruct the cook how to prepare the meal so the timings work out. Other recipes that I’m accustomed to (and as an experienced cook of some 15 years) have the cook times for individual parts of the meal, whereas Mealime has you put something on the stove and prepare something else while it cooks without telling you how long it should cook. If the cooking times were included, that would account for some variation in how quickly novice and beginner cooks prepare the meals. Otherwise, we’re absolutely thrilled with this app. Even with the discrepancy above, we’re still going to use it and continue to cook with it!

Excellent App. I have been using this app for several weeks now and absolutely love it. I create my meal plan and shop for the groceries right from the app. Delivery from the store and voila groceries show up at my door. No more waste from over shopping and no more not being able to make something because I forgot some key ingredient. The recipes are great and so far my family and I have loved every recipe we've tried. So, why didn't I give it five stars? A few reasons. 1) I strongly dislike apps that want you to pay a subscription. Also, other reviews indicate that the subscription isn't worth it and is almost impossible to cancel, so no thank you to that. I really wish they'd offer a version where you pay a one-time fee and no subscription. 2) You can't create multiple meal plans. So, I tried creating a second meal plan and it deleted everything I had selected for my first meal plan. Now it warns you before you try to do that, but when I first started using the app it didn't warn you. 3) You also can't add meals once you've started your plan, which is rather annoying. If you've missed a day or something, you have to do a whole new meal plan. 4) You can only add one personal recipe in the free version, which is also annoying. 5) You can't add recipe notes in the free version. Overall though, it's almost everything I'd want an app to be!

Makes me not hate cooking. This app is the best! I tell everyone about it. The fact that you can customize so much to avoid certain ingredients or do certain diets like keto is awesome. And you can pick how many meals per week and how many servings per meal and they adjust it all for you. I select my meals each week, go through the list of ingredients it compiles and check off what I already have, then click Shop Online and choose my grocery store where it puts the ingredients in my cart and I can checkout and do a grocery pickup. A mom’s dream come true! Love love love everything about this app. It’s the only way I don’t mind cooking because I’m trying new recipes, it’s all laid out for me, and I have the week planned and know I have all the ingredients once I get my grocery order so I don’t even have to think about what’s for dinner every night. Amazing!

Amazing App But Needs Better Vegan Recipes. First of all, thank you for your hard work -- I’ve used Mealime every week for four years now and recommend it to most of my friends! There’s one main issue that keeps me from recommending it more widely: we need better vegan recipes! It seems like half the recipes call for expensive high sodium vegan meats instead of simple vegan proteins. So many recipes using vegan sausage and not a single recipe using tempeh or seitan? Additionally, many of the vegan recipes don’t have enough protein. I’m excited to recommend the app to my vegan friends once this issue gets fixed. One other issue is the unnecessarily added difficulty and expense of some of the recipes. For example, many of the recipes ask users to buy and grate whole carrots, instead of simply buying grated carrots. Similarly, many recipes call for fresh fruit or vegetables when frozen would be just as good, such as in stews or blended soups.

Awesome but a bit redundant. This app is awesome! I decided to get the premium because I liked all the features and it’s only 3 bucks a month and I’d say all the time I’m saving is worth three bucks a month. I love how I get the shopping list and being able to buy online through the shopping list as well as adding your own recipes and all the recipes they have. It’s been super convenient for me and has actually helped me lose weight with all the healthy options! The only thing I wish this app had was more recipes, as about a quarter of the recipes are extremely similar. For example there is like 6 different balsamic caprese salad variations. I’d would also be phenomenal if you post receipts for others. One of the biggest things I find the app lacking is a nutrition label none of the recipes have any nutrition information. Other than that, 9/10 would recommend.

I really like this app, but.... Great recipes, I just wish the directions were a little more clear. Sometimes you’re working with two bowls and it just refers back and forth to the different bowls by the size, e.g. put this in the medium bowl and this other thing in the large bowl. It would be much clearer to just name the bowls, e.g. add the oil to the sauce bowl. Also, under each step it lists out the ingredients which is great to help ensure that you’ve added everything, except that ingredients are only mentioned once. So the list may include all of the spices but skip the onions which were chopped three steps back. Finally, they have this style of reporting ingredient amounts that just makes my head hurt. There’s no way that everyone using this app sees “cheese: 1/2 (8oz) block” and comes to the same conclusion if that is 4oz or 8oz. Cheese is sold in a ton of different sizes. Just tell me how much I need, I’m smart enough to look at the package size.

Best cooking app ever. I’ve been using the app for close to a year now. I’ve paid for the pro version, which tells you how much I’ve loved this app and found value in it. I’ve been able to tailor it to any nutritional plan I’ve been on (vegan, vegetarian, flexitarian, paleo, etc), I loved that I could eliminate any recipes that used things I hated such as blue cheese. I love the simplicity of choosing meals for the week and having my shopping list made for me, complete with amounts needed, saving food waste. The cooking mode is so simple and clear, never any weird ingredients or cooking tools needed. Best yet, the recipes have blown us away with how good they are. The flavor combinations are restaurant quality. Get this app, change your cooking game, and never hit the weekly recipe rut again!!! Please please don’t change anything about this app! Thank you ❤️

Gamechanger. This app is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I won't bore you with all the great things everyone else is saying, but my absolute favorite thing about this app is the chef-made recipes. One thing I hated about most other recipe apps is that they simply just compile recipes from all around the internet, so there is no consistency, and some turn out to be duds. Since chefs make all of Mealime's recipes, they are ALL good and all the instructions are similarly written so I know exactly what to expect. I absolutely love this app and I have been telling EVERY one of my friends and relatives because I love it that much. I just wish you guys would add more smoothie recipes because the blueberry smoothie recipe is my FAVORITE and I would love to see more fruit smoothie recipes! Keep up the amazing work, the quality of apps nowadays is just oversaturated and many of them lack the kind of quality that Mealime has, so please never stray away from how great you guys are!

Finally an app that includes recipes for the family. When I was single I used EatThisMuch to hit the proper macro targets. The recipes weren’t very good and you ate a lot of cottage cheese but it did the trick. Then I got married, and we tried to both used ETM but were looking for more “tasty healthy recipes”. We tried a few things and landed on FitMenCook. Then we had our first child, and needed to start cooking for all of us. We abandoned the App Store thinking that it would be google searches etc. Then on a whim I saw this app and decided to give it a try and I have to say - this is the app our family needs! While not specifically geared towards families, it makes provisions to include families with not only portions but also practical tasty recipes. Plus, it does have some loose parameters for macros. (Not completely specific but you can get in the ball park if you want more or less protein/fat/carbs) The meals are easy to line up, tasty, fast time make options are included and kid friendly too! Also it’s the first app I’ve used where the Instacart integration ACTUALLY WORKS. Had out week planned and ordered within 20 minutes. Picked up at Aldi 2 hours later. Started dinner at 4:15 and was ready by 5! To top it all of, we will be saving money on food waste!! Thank you for what you’re doing.

Great App. We tried Mealime last week and wasn’t disappointed. Lots of recipes options even without a membership subscription. The meals we checked out were keepers too. Love the auto generated grocery list. It separated items into different categories and only had to tap it to check it off. Only improvements that could be made would be adding some odd numbers to choose from in servings 1 and 3. I select 4 for my family of 3 and still end up with leftovers for 3 more servings. The cooking times are way off they all took twice as long as quoted but I’ve never saw a cook book that was accurate timings anyway. Overall I would highly recommend it. You’ll surely walk away with at least one new meal to add to you menu. For a busy family it helped with groceries shopping and provided quality time together cooking.

Changed my family’s life. Highly recommend for anyone who cooks at home. The recipes have all been delicious, and the ease of getting the ingredients at the store has made cooking at home much easier and healthier, and way more cost effective. Without a doubt this app has been one of my most used daily apps, and it has encouraged me to try dishes I would have never imagined (beet poke!). I recommend it to all of my friends who cook for their families, and I buy gift cards for subscriptions to the pro version to give as gifts. Even the things I thought were gimmicks at first, like the “hold your hand in front of the camera to advance to the next step” thing have been incredibly useful, as swiping on your screen with wet hands is gross and hard to do. My only hang up is that the iPad versions of the app aren’t as good as the iPhone version, but that it works on the iPad at all is a blessing. Highly recommend.

GAMECHANGER!. I hate writing reviews, and usually only write them if I feel very strongly about something. This app has seriously changed my life. I used to struggle with deciding what to eat on a daily basis. I always had some ingredients but not all of them. It is just my boyfriend and I, so it was hard to cook something that wasn’t too much food for the two of us. With Mealtime, i know ahead of time what i will be making for a week, and with the shopping list, i always know i have the ingredients, and i can just buy what I need each week. I also work in a Pediatrics office and I introduced Mealtime to one of our APN’s who works with families on nutrition. She refers a lot of her patients and their families to this app because it helps a lot with meal planning and it is so customizable. It’s especially helpful for single moms or very busy parents. I have always considered trying Keto, so I might try a week of keto recipes. I am so excited that I found this app.

Love it!. I use this every week. My approach is usually just making dinner. I’m a single gal who mostly cooks for herself. I select three meals for the week, cook dinner for the night and eat the left overs the next day. I love that my food waste has decreased a lot. Previous to Mealime, I’d end up throwing away onions I thought I was going to use or have to toss some bad salad. There’s a lot of selections available for different types of diets. The meals are generally easy to make in a short amount of time. I also like that I can include more variety in my cooking. I’d usually end up just making chicken and a vegetable for the majority of meals. Now I’m trying different types of meals with different background. I’m not usually the type to buy premium version of apps, but I did and I love it. For anyone trying to save time, money (less food waste), eat the way they want to eat and have a plan each week, this is for you.

Recommend to everyone. I started using this app before the pandemic, but now that I still try to avoid going to grocery stores more than needed, I love Mealime! I don’t have to struggle to come up with meals to fill out the week, and they all come with vegetable side dishes so I can eat healthier with no extra effort of finding those recipes. I will say that prepping the ingredients takes much longer than Mealime claims it does, and I read through the recipes entirely before starting because some will get halfway through and say something like “while waiting for the oil to heat up, peel and mince the ginger”. The oil would burn before I got that done, so I try to prep everything at the beginning, to prevent issues. I also wish there was a way to look at all of the available recipes when I’ve already picked out my meal plan. But still, I use this every week, and I am so glad it exists!

Love!. I MUST meal plan; we can’t just eat take out or frozen entrees with my food allergies. However, I HATE to meal plan because it takes so long to go through recipe books, decide what I want to make, write down the list of groceries, and organize the list according to the store sections. However, I found this app when looking for time-management stuff and I love it!! They let me select food aversions, diet plans (GF/LF for me), serving size, and then generate a list of recipes for you to choose from. THEN they generate the grocery list for you!! If you are like me and hate taking the time to meal- plan, this is definitely an app you should check out. I’m seriously IN LOVE! My only wish is that this could order groceries from the Walmart Grocery app; we aren’t in a major city where I can get the groceries delivered with the app’s current options. Update: I also wish that it had different dietary options like “low-sodium”, “heart-healthy”, and Low FODMAP.

Makes it so Easy!. I love this app, I’ve used it off and on for two years now and I always come back to it so I’m here to stay, I haven’t found anything that comes close. It has great recipes, great options to help with purchases and planning, and it’s easy to follow with a great assortment. I did have a little trouble finding my way to editing, user error I’m sure, I was going to the meal itself, not the first page. I’m so used to swiping with my iPad, it would be a nice feature to have, but not necessary. I am really THANKFUL that it’s one of the few apps that I can use and not be forced to turn my iPad to portrait mode. So many don’t see the need I guess, but THANK YOU! Also for diet choices, having the option to remove starches would be nice. Rice, Potatoes, noodles, etc… Anyway, I recommend it to many I know that are looking for one. It’s by far the best I’ve found!

I am OBSESSED with this app!. This is hands down, the most useful app on my phone. I am totally in love! I cook dinner at home most nights of the week and it takes a lot of mental energy to create a meal plan and grocery list every week. This is my first week using Mealime and it’s already made my life SO much easier. I looked through the meals, choose the dinners I wanted for the week, the app created a grocery list that I could add to or subtract from and cross off each item as I shopped!! The instructions are also VERY convenient and user friendly listing the measurements needed right below the instructions so I don’t have to constantly refer back to the ingredient list. I’m also Gluten free so this app automatically turns the recipes into GF. I happily paid the subscription fee to have full access to meals and nutrition. I’ve made two meals so far and both recipes were easy to put together and wildly delicious. I love this app so much!!!!

Best app ever!!. I love this app so much, I am always recommending it to my friends! I use the paid version but the free version is also really great! I love how easy it is to use, how quickly you can build meal plans, with customization options for special diets (which is great since I’m vegan but they also have many other options), cooking time, omit specific ingredients etc. Then automatically builds a checkable grocery list which you can also add your own items to. And the recipes have been wonderful, easy to follow and always tasty. I really appreciate all the awesome vegan options, most other apps have really limited options but I can tell they specifically adapt other recipes to be vegan so there’s a ton of variety. And of course love the optimizing meal plans to avoid food waste and over spending on groceries you don’t need. This app is definitely a must have!

A must have!. I almost never feel like posting reviews, but this app has totally transformed the way I eat. I have tried so many calorie counters, meal planners, etc., and I have never been able to consistently find healthy food that I actually like. Mealtime changes all of that. It lets you choose if you have a dietary preference (low carb, paleo, vegetarian, etc.), AND lets you select individual foods you don’t like, which has always been the hang up I’ve had. I can spend all day googling healthy recipes, but at the end of the day, they’re probably going to include foods I don’t want to eat. Not here. The UI is great: very clean, simple, and easy to find what you need. Very intuitive user experience so that anybody can use this with ease. The shopping list feature is great, so i can easily buy the whole week of groceries at one time. I literally can’t say enough about how much I’ve enjoyed using this. Highly recommend!

I never write reviews, but.... I absolutely love this app and tell everyone I know about it when the topic of grocery shopping/meal planning arises. We previously used a meal kit delivery service as my husband and I work full time. Well that gets pricey and there were many meals that I had selected that didn't go over well with our pickey 11 year old. With Mealime, there's a much wider selection of meals to choose from. We aren't creative meal planners so we love the recipes that we definitely wouldn't have come up with on our own. And every meal has gone over great in our home! I started with adding the grocery list items to my Walmart delivery list, which was pretty convenient! But now it's integrated into the app! It took me 5 minutes last night to make a meal plan and place my Walmart delivery order, which arrived this morning! With a baby in the home, this convenience is priceless! Thank you so much Mealime!!!

Download this app now. I love this app! I’ve tried several different meal planning and list apps as well as MANY different meal kit deliveries. This is, without a doubt, the best meal planning option I’ve used. It has the variety and simplicity of a meal delivery kit without all the cost and packaging waste. With the online grocery order feature, I can actually stick to my meal planning schedule instead of running to the store haphazardly and buying a bunch of things I don’t need. It saves so much time and headache. Also, I’m a pescatarian with food sensitivities which can make my diet idiosyncratic and restrictive. This app handles it in stride and still serves up (haha) a good variety of recipes each week. I use the free version. My ONLY critique of this app is that I’ve been unable to upgrade to pro because of a technical issue that won’t process my upgrade request. Please let me spend money with you! It’s worth it.

This app has changed our lives. I can’t believe any other one single app that has changed our lives to live healthier lives and save money other than Mealime. I love it and love how easy it is. We started the Dave Ramsey program a year ago but I struggled with saving money on meals and meal planning. I am now saving an average of $200 monthly since I use this to plan our dinners and lunches. No guessing and over buying things that go to waste and it has brought our family closer together. We now have dinner 6-7 nights a week most weeks and eat out once if even that. I can plan out the meals for the week on Sunday morning as we are driving from church to the grocery store. In under 30 min I am out of there with everything to prepare the meals with the easy grocery list. Thank you guys again for such an amazing product. Ps I have been raving about this app to everyone and tell everyone if they are trying to save money to try and plan out their meals.

Exactly what I needed!. I wanted an app that helps me plan meals and save money, as that is a constant struggle for me. I’ve tried meal services, and they’re great for saving on resources but they’re expensive. Thanks to this app, I have found a cheaper alternative and more! What I especially love about this app is that if there’s an ingredient I don’t want or can’t find, the app will suggest substitutes if you click right on the name of the item in question. There are few items it doesn’t provide suggestions for. I think the app should also provide vegan substitutes for things like eggs and other items that would work well with the recipe. This app just saved me $30 this week compared to what I would’ve shelled out for something like Hungryroot, and way more than if I would’ve tried planning something on my own! I am appreciative of this app, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Amazing!! Easy & simple meals!. Let me start off by saying I’ve never really enjoyed cooking mostly because I took a “creative & experimental” approach. I have since learned recipes are where it’s at! This nifty app saved me money. My grocery bill was literally $32 and that included coolant for my car which was $11. This app enabled me not to overbuy which I notoriously do and food inevitably goes to waste because I’m a single person. My only complaint is that I wasn’t able to export the grocery list to print (not sure if that’s included in the paid version which I will happily pay for if it is) that would save additional time and effort. The recipes are delicious! They included ingredients that have been in my pantry for (Don’t Judge me) probably years untouched! Balsamic vinegar anyone? No? K...anyway the food ended up tasting delicious and I have a renewed sense of confidence in my ability to cook!... Score!!

Best app I have ever downloaded.. This app has changed my life! I’ve been using it for about a year now. Before this, I was never very good at meal planning. I could plan maybe 4 days and then just have extra stuff to throw together. I would spend a lot of time trying to find new recipes to try. And we threw out a lot of unused produce. Since downloading Mealime, we have reduced a lot of food waste, I save so much time creating menus and grocery lists. (Full disclosure, I pay for premium) My husband can view the app on his phone so he always knows what’s for dinner. The recipes are easy and delicious and also easy to modify. Now during Covid19, I’m even more grateful for this app. Using mealime and substituting some frozen foods for fresh, I’m able to plan 2 weeks worth of meals, which means I only have to venture out every other week. It’s been enormously helpful and I recommend it to all my friends and anyone else who will listen.

You eat? You need this app!. Ok, this is a first for me. I haven’t written any reviews of an app but, for this app it is a must. I went on my first shopping trip today after downloading the app. I cannot believe how easy they make it for you to get al the groceries you need. I HATED that whole process of trying to figure out what we are going to eat and then the dreaded trip to the store. This app is a game changer. It seamlessly adds everything you need to a list and groups and categorizes them. As you walk through the store and get what you need, you simply tap on the item in the app and it “checks it off”. When I came home, my husband commented on how it didn’t take me as long this time. I, of course, raved about my new app. I didn’t spend less but, that was my fault. I didn't check to see exactly what I had on hand before I went. I do foresee that this app will save me money next time I go. Do yourself a favor, download it!

Better than eMeals!!!. Hands down, this app is so much better than other meal planning apps I’ve tried. Things I love: you can add meals to favorites and come back later to add to your shopping list, you can build your shopping list within your favorite curbside grocery store (mine is H-E-B!), there are TONS of recipes, while cooking, you can hold your hand up to the camera to move on to the next step - no touching the screen with greasy fingers!!!, lots of search filters (Asian, Tex-Mex, calories, cook time, etc.), and finally, the app can be used seamlessly between devices. My roommates and I will login to the same account, favorite a few recipes and then once a week, one of us will go in and actually do the grocery order. It works so well! With eMeals, this process was so glitchy and often, the recipes would duplicate, adding all kinds of crazy ingredients to the grocery list that weren’t needed. Love it!! Thanks for the great app!

Food not tasty, recipes can be unnecessarily complicated.. I’m learning how to cook and tried about a dozen recipes. I also paid for the subscription. The recipes all looked really interesting but when it came down to cooking them, the instructions were frustratingly wordy. I’m not picky at all but I have to say only a couple of the dishes I tried were alright. The others were not tasty at all and one of them was so bad I choked back tears to eat it. I used fresh ingredients and because I was a complete beginner, I followed the recipes exactly without deviation. I’ve also tried adding more spices but the food was too plain and beyond saving. It was only when I tried other recipe apps and websites did I realize Mealime just doesn’t have tasty dishes and that cooking doesnt have to be complicated to make tasty dishes. I hope Mealime gets better recipes and succinct instructions for them because I genuinely liked the grocery list and how you can adjust your food preferences/diets.

Excellent app!. Awhile ago, I tried one of the box meal delivery systems. I loved that it provide me and my family with a variety of healthy meals and saved me the headache of meal planning. It was too expensive for our small budget though. Then I discovered Mealime. It gives me variety, yummy recipes, and does my meal planning for me. And it’s free! The grocery list makes shopping easy. I also love the No Touch screen “Cooking mode” that allows me to go through the recipe without touching the screen—keeps my food germ free. There is one feature I’d love to see changed though: syncing lists. I’m a vegetarian. My husband and sons are not. We have separate Mealime accounts in order to accommodate our preferences, but Mealime doesn’t allow us to consolidate shopping lists. I’d love to see this importing and exporting feature in the future. Also, it’d be awesome if Mealime could sync with Skip—importing my grocery list into Skip would make checkout easier. Thank you for making such a great app!

Great for people with allergies!!!. I love, love, love this app! I have a bunch of food allergies- and to weird things- bananas, peas, tuna, chickpeas, lentils, kiwi, egg plant- the list goes on and on. This app is great for me for two reasons- I can either filter out the recipes that have foods I can’t eat (and it’s fully customizable! so it accounts for all of my “weird” allergies, or I can pick pretty much any recipe and they give substitutions for almost every ingredient! For example, I can either filter out all of the recipes that call for chickpeas, or I can use a suggested substitute (usually some type of beans, which I can eat). I have never been able to have this varied of diet and meal types before- my husband and I love Indian food/flavors, but can’t usually have it because of my allergies and both of us are stuck missing it, now I can make whatever we want at home and it’s safe for me, healthier, and makes my husband happy. Because the whole app and recipes are so user friendly, I am not the only “chef” in the house. My husband and I have started cooking together and have a lovely time, and if I am not able to be around, he has no problem following most of the recipes, which is amazing because he only really started cooking with me when we got this app. Thank you so much for saving us lots of money, time, hassle, food waste while helping me enjoy a wide variety of foods I otherwise couldn’t have.

I love this app!. It was hard to find an app that didn’t require payment to function properly… but this app functions like it’s supposed to without payment! It has lots of cool features like making the grocery list for you and even allowing you to order the grocery list directly from all the stores you like to shop at. You can add other groceries to your list so you’ll have one list in one place. You can favorite recipes. You can search for meals by the price. My only complaint would be that the meals are little bit different than what my southern family considers normal. The meals are definitely worth trying though and they seem so healthy. I really love this app. I usually only write reviews if I hate an app, but this app just deserves more attention because it was exactly what I was looking for.

Like BlueApron for people who still buy groceries. I never write reviews, but this app is so worth it. I’ve been meal prepping every weekend for my family for 5 years now, and I am SICK of it. I have literally no recipes left in my brain, and if I have to cook three meals at once one more time I’m going to order takeout for a year straight. That’s when I discovered this app and actually found delicious, healthy recipes! I consider myself a good cook, but I would have never come up with any of this on my own. The ingredients aren’t so out there that it’s hard/expensive to find them, and the ingredients/directions are fairly simple. The recipes are turning out so good, that even my super picky 1.5 year old now eats everything I cook. Honestly, this is starting to sound like an ad, but I’ve been using so many cooking sites through the years trying to freshen things up, and nothing has worked this well.

A Genius Tasty Time-Saver Meal Planner. It’s just me and my hubs here and I use this app weekly. Terrific and varied recipes (thank you chefs!!) that’s gotten us out of the ho-hum same old routine. We have procured many favorites and continue to try new recipes from the app. I’ve shared this app with several of my friends and we frequently have convos about what we each have tried and enjoyed. We opt for the two-person meals and it’s so easy to adjust these recipes to allow for leftovers. I usually make enough to take for a work lunch the following day. The genius in this app is the grocery list organizer. After choosing a meal the ingredients are auto loaded into a list. And not just a list. It’s organized by the grocery store section in which you’ll find the item! What a time saver!! This is such a great app and I’m happy my son turned me onto it. Thank you so much for the work you all put into it and helping make mealtime always fun and tasty!!
