Don’t need Wi-Fi or data to use this great app. The beauty of Karta gps is that you don’t need any data or WiFi for it to work. It functions as a GPS. It gives you the same features and experience as other navigational apps that require data. I don’t have data plan, so I really appreciate having this app. It updates directions in real time depending on my location. For example if I turn the wrong way, it will provide me with the adjusted route. It gives driving and walking directions. It has support in several languages including Russian. It also has option for different voices ( for the speaker). For additional small fee, it provides traffic info. It has ads but they don’t really interfere with the app and u can remove them for $2.99. It also makes small beep noises if u are going too fast, which I am guessing is a safety feature(the phone acts as an accelerometer , which is a cool concept). Looks like they don’t share the speed data with any third parties( though who knows) Anyways, if it was not for Karta GPS, I would not be able to drive to new places and to navigate in general. Didn’t work when I needed it. I bought the upgrades, had no cell service when I brought my phone to Germany… thought I could rely on my karta for such a situation but it didn’t even get my location and was general garbage. PURE TRASH! Avoid.

Greatest. I would like to say thank you very much for such an amazing app. Appreciate the efforts, and wishing you the best always.

Cancel culture liberal app. It has the voice of Bill Clinton and “Joey B” but Republican presidents are ignored. I use it only to avoid Google or Apple Maps as the search function is pretty good. Although it will oddly show preferred vendors hundreds of miles away first before showing local results. If I know the address of where I’m going I’ll use Guru Maps or Sygic or OSMAnd Maps. Guru and OSM I believe are open source.

Useless. At one point I had the map of CA installed. The app would beep a high pitched noise at me whenever I exceeded the posted speed limit. So I stopped using the app. Later, when I really needed it because I was out of cell tower range, it said I had no map! Now every attempt to D/L the CA map fails even back home with broadband wifi.

Nice graphics. This navigation has a pretty graphics and nice sounds makes it more fun to navigate my ways.

Works great! I’m impressed.. I’ve used “offline” maps before, with hit and miss results. The one is definitely one of the better ones. The free version has worked great. I used it all over New Zealand, Australia, and Montana - places where you don’t always have good wireless internet connections. Well done team Karta!

This app is really 5 stars!!! BUT.... I would give this app 5 stars, which it deserves, however it currently doesn’t support or IT isn’t supported by Apple Car Play like Waze & Sygic. This app hands down is better than both of them. So I’m waiting patiently for when it comes to being able to be used with Auto Head Units. When that happens; we’ll say a nice eulogy for Stand alone In car Navigation units and their ridiculous over priced costs.

Amazingly inexpensive. I came over this way from Sygic. Sygic has some stability issues and occasionally crashes. Karta seems to echo the simplicity of Apple and Google maps lane guidance. Sygic’s “dynamic” lane guidance is spotty and glitchy. Sygic s features will be innovative once they fix the stability issues but for now it’s annoying. So far karta has no stability issues, lots of fun features, and a beautiful map display. Most importantly, the directions and traffic are accurate and easy to read. Think I found my new goto. You can’t beat the prices and achieve this quality and convenience there are some awesome options that are cheaper but they won’t look as polished and the map data is so precise you’ll never find your location unless you type it exactly as it was written in OSM. This is by and far the cheapest and most convenient package

Awesome offline GPS. I used Karta GPS on my last trip to Cuba. The app worked perfectly on airplane mode, the turn by turn guides were on the spot. Taxi drivers hate the fact that I knew the exact distance and time - talk about getting a better deal! Best app ever !!

Great application. Very good app it gives you meltable road choices for reaching your destination

Great GPS. Excellent navigation, comparable to Google Maps as far as I can tell, doesn’t steer you wrong, and loaded with points of interest to help you find your destination. I use it whenever I don’t have cellular service and Google Maps leaves me stranded. However, Favorites cannot be sorted by distance, which is very inconvenient when you have to painstakingly read through your long list of favorites, of which many of mine are 5000 miles away, to find the one you want. I don’t always remember the name of my favorite, but sorting by distance makes them easy to find in Google Maps. I’m hard pressed to compare with Sygic, except to say that I have tried both and settled on Karta.

Too many ads and too generic address. As soon as you press for the directions, an ad pops up! Also, the addresses are too generic. I typed in the name of a store of which I know three locations of and all I got was “St. Louis, MO” or a few of them just said “MO, United States”. How are you supposed to know where to go (or which location in this case) if you don’t get a street address?!

I do not want people to see me or my guest with out my permission so I deleted it from my phone.. Quit watching me and my friends

Backup offline gps. Like it for being offline. Not the best graphics and accuracy at least the speed limit shows current info. Also zoom in zoom out takes you off road.

Best navigation app. I hardly rate an app but this deserves my recommendations. Made my tour a happy one.

Good but few problems. It’s nice to have a gps that works without WiFi or service but sometimes when I search an adress that I search in google maps it doesn’t pop up or when I set a address for my home it doesn’t let me because it shows as if it doesn’t exist

In app purchases. I was excited to try out this app as I saw on social media they had fun voices and features like locating speed traps and traffic information. Sadly, the app makes you pay for these services (speed trap info, voices and for no ads). There are other free apps like waze with no ads, better voices, more locations, traffic info and customizable features.

Karta. Is always updating . But works with me cause my phone is off and helps me get around very easily but u have to know where u are going and always check u put it in all right

day mode on CarPlay is missing. The night mode is always shown up on CarPlay even at day time with the latest version. It worked on the previous version.

Doesn’t let me search by name through Carplay. Everything is nice about this app, but the navigation directions definitely need work. It likes to direct me to the back of a Walmart instead of into the parking lot.

Love this app!. I have to say I was reluctant to download this app. I’ve downloaded a lot of navigation apps and it is as advertised. You really don’t need internet connection. Awesome!

Works awesome in Canada.. I came over the border and instantly had problems with my Apple maps app in Vancouver. Got lost without any GPS. Later that night I downloaded this app and have only great things to say about it. Works everywhere between Vancouver and Whistler so far. Haven’t gone beyond that yet.

So much potential but..... So I really loved the look and feel of this app when I downloaded it, so based on how it appeared, I spent a whole bunch of money subscribing to traffic and speed cameras and every other option available including buying some voices etc. Big mistake, I did all this assuming that as a navigation app, it would do a good job at that, but it routinely fails that test. Almost without exception I can enter same start and destination in Karta and then 3 or 4 other apps, most using OSM maps, and they will usually all give the same optimum route, but not Karta. In fact I don’t know that it has ever suggested the same route as the other apps. Just today, it wanted me to get off the highway and instead of taking the loop exit to go west, it wanted me to take the east exit and do a U-Turn! I have tried sending examples to technical support but honestly a navigation app has to be good at that before anything else can really matter. If they get that right, this is a winner, I think it is the best overall product for appearance, features etc except for the routing issues, so I hope they figure out their algorithm problems.

Deleting it, sorry.. It thinks I’m in Kansas, yet it knows how close things are to me, but all recommendations are in Kansas. For example, it recommends restaurants in Kansas, but when I put my work in, in NC, it knows I’m 21 miles away. Also, can’t see anything on the map, except a red circle in the middle of a black screen.

Overall good GPS. I like using Karta GPS and I think it’s a great compared to google maps. What I don’t like is how expensive the add on extensions are which really seem overpriced, especially for traffic and cameras and all of that. I also think that the search results are not always there for what I need. Sometimes if the result is not there, I have to type in the actual address of the places rather than the name of the place which is something that google maps is good at.

Can’t find any addresses. Just downloaded the app along with state maps for AZ CA NM UT NV. Typed in an address that I frequently go to, and….. can’t find address. Tried multiple addresses in my town and can’t find any of them. I entered a few random addresses in Phoenix, about 10 miles away and it did find them but could not find my dad’s address in CA. My neighborhood and surrounding areas are 20+ years old so no new streets or numbers. Tried to use the support link on App Store page but it just takes you too a website telling you about the company. So far not impressed. P.S. if you don’t buy the ad free version, you have to clear a full page Google as before you can navigate.

GPS is wrong. Downloaded the app, put an address in & ran the simulator. It said the destination is in the left, when actually it is on the right. Pretty sad that it couldn't handle a simple address.

Great GPS But Some Roads Missing. I don’t know who Karta gets their maps from, however they are missing some admittedly very rural roads here in Alabama Aside from the above it’s perfect without eating up data on your cellular plan.

Map is great! But.... I liked this app but one star off, because of voice guide was so confusing. On the map it shows correct route that I take first exit to the right but voice guide told me “bear left” lucky I was on the road I already know well.

Better than being completely lost. A good driving directions app if you don’t have internet. I use my iPad with it since I’m one of those people who doesn’t have internet on my phone. Still using a flip phone😲. I used it in the country road, and it did pretty good getting me to my destination. I had to use my own common sense of direction once, but overall it did a good job.

Garden state parkway. I drive trucks in tri-state area, and in many places trucks are not allowed on the garden state parkway, but the navigation doesn’t allow for me to remove the parkway as it calculates. This would be a great option if it could be allowed, Thank you

Karta gps. Karta really needs to write a user manual! There is virtually nothing currently available to introduce the workings of Karta. For example how do you delete a map that is no longer needed? Jack

Bad GPS. Do you not get this app this app is full of ads and you can only put in a Address you can’t just say directions to McDonald’s or something this app has a terrible satellite connection After five days of using this app it says you have t after five days of using this app it say it needs access to your contacts this app is totally useless!

Might just be the best map I have. It’s awesome! I love it. I don’t have cellular so I don’t have WiFi a lot and when I downloaded this app it changed everything. I would definitely get it if you are traveling or don’t have cellular like me. Also There are no ads. You might get a pop up once or twice but you can X out of it in a quick second. Yup. Definitely best app I have.

Honest review. This GPS app is descent not great. Basically it an offline gps app that allows the user to use gps without internet connection which is super. Couple things that I found out with the app. First is that it can’t correctly find the location and it can’t give you a accurate exit routes. The display in the app to where your doing does not display the exit on the highway, which is super important if your traveling and need to know the exit, not hating but it can help. Second thing I’ve noticed is that the app can’t show the places that are nearby to stop. Example, say I’m driving and I noticed a place I want to go to but don’t physically want to go inside, I would appreciate it if I could simply click on the place & check important information about the place. Last I definitely would like to see a upgrade to traffic around the area. What I mean is to see if any road blocks, construction or high traffic. There is some good things about the app that I like and I really would like to everyone that worked on it. Also side note give me better suggestions and places to avoid.

Long Distance?. I got this app for a long distance trip from Georgia to Minnesota. When I put the address in it occasionally says that it found a route but 95% of the time it says can’t find a route. The app is great but it seems that it still has bugs.

Needs more improvements to be perfect. The app looks good but it stills lacks/needs a lot of work. 1.) It does not show SPEED LIMIT on all streets. 2.) It does Not State the Exit Number when exiting from highway. 3.) It does not have an Active Lane Guidance ala-Navigon/Sygic 4.) It needs to have a Panoramic View where it shows part of the clouds ala-Sygic/Navigon (I believe it looks better that way instead of showing just the streets) Please work on this and this will the perfect app like the Navigon was before Garmin bought it.

It’s great but. I hope you will allow app to work in landscape view as well. I mean it’s work but not as it should be when i put tablet in landscape view. Karta work offline and just for that i will give 👍🏻 just please read above and make that possible...

Nice to have a gps with out data but it would be nice to have train and bus routes.. I use this for travel mostly when I get lost sense I try to keep a map with me. Having bus and train roots would be nice to make things more covenant planing travel, but I can use goggle maps on WiFi when needed. Adding multiple stops would be a nice Feature too. I would even be fine with paying for a upgrade to have alternative travel options.

Review. I really like this app because not a lot of navigation apps work offline but this one does and it’s more efficient to get this app instead of getting LTE hotspot

More marketing than mapping, and intrusive.. The ads are in the way, the begging for a rating implies users should only leave positives, the interface is just OK.

Poor OpenStreetMap-based navigation app. Karta GPS has so much potential and looks pretty on its face. But when you actually try to use it you realize their OpenStreetMap data is wayyyyy outdated (like over a year) and navigation instruction is poor in many locations. When you contact support they respond to you and say they will work on the error and it will show up in the next maps data update, but that update never happens. As it sits, this app hasn’t been updated in 6 months. And even the problems I reported over 6 months ago have not been fixed in the last update. I get the impression this is a very low budget service and they can’t pay anyone to do the basic business of keeping the app running. If you’re looking for a good offline maps GPS app, you’re better off checking out Magic Earth or Here Maps. Neither of those are perfect, but at least they keep their maps and app updated and get you where you need to go.

Nice App. I will change my rate from 4 to 5 stars when you tell me that Search by coordinates became allowed. Thank you so much...five stars with pleasure.

One complaint. I have not used much yet but the only issue I have come across with this App is that you do not have the ability to adjust screen orientation. The ability to have options on how you have a device oriented in a vehicle is a big + so this is disappointing.

Why the maps are so small in sizes. Hi compare to Tomtom, how come the GPS maps are so small? E.g Australia and China are both over 100mb.

Review. Not a bad app, however when I chose a route from the several it gives me to choose, the app changes by its own mind. When in the freeway it tells me to exit to then go back in the free way again (in areas where there's no traffic). If I'm in a straight street with adjacent ones, it tells me that I'm not on the street where I actually am. When entering the freeway or exiting the street names it gives me does not match with the ones on the actual road.

Promising but no map. After reading reviews, I am encouraged to try this app however I have been trying to download the portugal map for 3 hours. I am not sure if the app has crashed or the server hosting the maps is offline. I will keep trying on the hope that I get to use this app.

Room for improvement but a good start!. As the title says, fantastic for a free app. Willing to pay if a few bugs are sorted out, eg, Apple car play works well, no issues syncing. Navigation has a couple of glitches when routing (taking a scenic route at times). When connected to Apple carplay, there is NO WAY to insert a new destination. I have to turn my radio off or disconnect to start a new trip. Be good to have the speed displayed (only an alarm pops up when over speed) I will keep this on my phone for offline map access. Thank you!

Rubbish. Downloaded Karta and the UK maps before arriving in UK. Didn’t work with OR without internet. Map found 1 location I had been at and failed to advance. I had to manually scroll the map and try to guess where I was. Offline maps? Hardly. Don’t bother downloading this.

I haven't try it yet but I believe it is perfect because without Internet.. I will give big 5 stars today even thought I haven't test it yet I believe it is perfect I never saw one before GPT without Internet👍

Doesn’t work. You can’t download maps.

Where am I going?. Ontario map loaded, ask for Main Street Welland and the first Main Street on it’s list is 400 km away. Of course it’s the wrong one, but when it only gives “Ontario” results so you need to guess which one is correct. A city listed with the addresses would be helpful.

App deleted. I needed to take the 407. Maybe I’m not using it right? But It took me the long way to get where I needed to go and was stuck in traffic!

Why need my contacts?. I uninstalled it because it request to access my contacts, or it won't work；that means they will take my whole address book for them to use whatever they like. GREAT RISK!

It’s okay. It helps me find where I want to go but it repeats directions of streets I’ve already been to several times which can get annoying

Contacts. Ne fait que vouloir aller fouiller dans mes contacts. Ca n’a pas rapport. Quand je cherche un endroit où aller, ce n'est pas un de mes contacts, et que dire de leur message; hou là là, vous ne semblez pas être brancher sur internet ! Ben non j’suis pas brancher, je n’ai pas le 3G, c'est pour cette raison que j’ai besoin d’un aide qui fonctionne sans internet, ce que Karta n’est pas capable.

Works well. Tried it in Dominican Republic at Puerto Plata was just awesome. Recommended. Didn’t need to buy a SIM card.

Frozen. My iPhone 6 freezes up fairly often with this app... maps.me does not freeze up but I like your app better please make it better

Great alternative to Google Maps. I’m limiting usage of any Google products and time has come to delete their maps app. I installed 5 different navigation apps and tested each during the week. Karta GPS is the best of all. Here is why: 1. Good search - only this app and Navii was able to find my office that is not marked on OpenStreet. Karta GPS find it via foursquare. 2. Great map design - guys nailed map styling. Very minimal and slick. 3. Speed limit indicator - even google doesn’t have it. 4. Amazing add-ons- funny voices and icons. Check out Trump voice :) Things to improve: 1. Sound turn on/off icon needed. Currently you can’t disable sounds. I love how google have it as an icon. 2. I need an option to pause podcasts while telling me directions, not making it quieter. Google can recognize what you are playing: music or podcasts. It makes spuds quieter for music and pause for podcasts. Very smart and handy. 3. Search field often get lost when I use the map. I would like it to stay as it takes not much of space. 4. Need a quick dashboard like menu with often used controls. I will look for these improvements and buy all pro add-ons if you implement these.

Stunning location as well as super accurate!. I got lost while doing some landscape photography in the forest of northern British Columbia and all I had was a power bank and my iPhone 11, this app saved my life finding me the nearest town and highway! Unable to use. It worked well couple of weeks but now every time it shows “ oops unable to make a route” offline and online both times. now I can’t faith on this app . please send a new updates

Missing a lot of destinations. I’ve tried to use to different destinations which does not show on the map, incomplete map NA, I’ve returned to Google map.

Not extra ordinary app.. There’s nothing special about it. Features you can get for free in other apps are to be purchased within the app. 2 stars for offline features.

Nearly ilegible. On an iPhone X the map’s labels are minuscule and its contrasts are pretty but are too weak to stand out clearly. The app comes close to being illegible. On an iPad the app is more legible but still not good--the colours are designed to be pretty, not to read--and it cannot be used horizontally.

Not bad.. This app isn't to bad. BUT?? This app can send you down some very unsafe road. I use it around the Detroit mi area and knowing the roads this app sends you down may be life threatening. Lol I use it but don't go off of every step by step it's says to go. Driver must know there surroundings

Pretty good .... Except it does not display landscape orientation on iPhone or iPad.

Karta is not worth the download.. or the $2.99 for Trumps voice. Karta was a total let down. I used it on a trip from San Diego to Los Angeles. The app kept trying to asks me to make a turn on a highway. It also kept trying to take me on all these "shortcuts" when the short cuts took even longer to reach my destination. I downloaded Trumps voice and was let down at the small amount of vocabulary that he has in the app, considering we all know that's not true in real life. I was surprised to not hear the app give the street name as you approach.. stating, turn left here... turn left here is not exactly helpful. Sadly, I will be deleting this app.

Map download question. Does the map download when your not on the screen? Can I exit the app (not kill), and can I put my phone to sleep (not shutdown) and still have it continue to download? If so, it should state that I am free to exit the app or put my phone to sleep, for it will continue to download.. It is quite a big download.

Absolutely useless with out phone services. Stuck in the middle of desert.!. Do not trust this apps! You will be in trouble.

Very helpful. Compared to other gps, although this app is sometimes slower, I find my location 9/10.

Only 1 thing to make it perfect!!. This app is amazing! Clean interface, works well, but there is one thing needed to be the best. The location settings need the option "only while using" added. Because right now it only has "always" or "never" settings for location and you don't what the app using your location when you are not using it otherwise that drains massive battery. So every time I want to use this app I have to go into the location settings and turn it to "always" and when I'm done I put it back into "never". This can be a real pain but can be fixed with just having the setting "only while using" available. Please put this in, it would make this app a 10 star app!!

So good. So many thanks to developer, I have used it alot, and i dont use any other map navigator app, it is simple and so useful. Suggestion: when i chose my searched place, app dont let me to change place when i am seeing place on map, i should click some back button to let me change the place. Please fix it

Unable to access offline. Was able to use offline in the past now it wants my Gps location and access to my contacts. What’s going on?

Great App. It's crashing frequently, but it's still a very good app. I can't figure out how (of if) it will handle multiple stops. But still great. Best I've used. Very reasonably priced add-Ons.

Doesn't find a lot of addreses. I sent a message to the people that made this app and explained that it doesn't find addresses. They responded with what they use for the map. That doesn't help me at all although it's kinda nice to know they know why their app fails.

Help for voices.. For everyone wondering where the trump voice is, go to downloads and find it. Download it and go to settings to enable it.

Non Functional. It kept telling me to take the same turns I had already taken. When I was several miles from my destination, it told me to make a U-turn. If I hadn't known where I was going, there is no telling where I would have ended up! I tried Google Maps on return with no difficulty.

Doesn't work. After downloading the App, I wanted to add my home and work's address so I can try it the next day on my way to work. Unfortunately, they were not available on the app. I was really shocked. However, it did give me alternative nearby addresses that I didn't need to go to.

CarPlay?. I like the look of this map and so far it has been accurate, but without CarPlay this app is useless to me. So when if at all can we expect CarPlay compatibility?

Good. It is pretty good but a long time ago I downloaded the presidents voice for my gps and then I deleted the app. Then I re downloaded the app and it said that I didn't buy the presidents voice. I would wish to get my presidents voice back.

Trump Voice. I really like this app, especially the Mr. President voice. However, I have a suggestion: have the Trump voice say, "WRONG!" When you make an in correct turn.

To Infinite & Beyond. This app exceeds my expectations. It is by far better than its competition, more user friendly, accurate, and convenient then any navigational app I have used, to date.

Offline - nope!. Got the app before a trip to Europe. Downloaded the maps I needed. Got to Europe then app kept telling me I wasn’t connected to the internet and therefore wouldn’t work.

Ok but won't replace Google maps. Road names look weird. Google maps is much superior. Offline needs to be like Google maps when it comes to selecting what area to download.

Looks Good.... However, my street name is misspelled on the map. State of Wisconsin. City of Beloit. My street name is Edgewood Drive. The map has it as Edgerwood Drive. So when I search for my address, 2534 Edgewood Drive, it can’t find it.

Great Again, can be greater !. I liked it before, I like it better with Mr President's voice. My only complaint is that there is absolutely no choices for the route settings. In regard to toll roads, highways and the like, You are powerless to allow, avoid or forbid them. It's kind of annoying for the app to direct me to a toll road while I am less than 2 miles away from my own house. Add the possibility to customize the route settings in future updates and I can assure you it will be a game changer. It will be HUGE !!!
