Dragon Anywhere Comments & Reviews 2024

💸 Want to send money abroad for free?

We transfer money over €4 billion every month. We enable individual and business accounts to save 4 million Euros on bank transfer fees. Want to send free money abroad or transfer money abroad for free? Free international money transfer!

Simply horrible and can’t get the 150$ to work!. Updated March 2021: I called and called and emailed. I never got the app to work. Apple couldn’t refund me, the developer said it would talk to a supervisor but they NEVER got back to me after dozens of messages. They just took my money (150$!!!) and delivered nothing. I will never buy anything from this company and I would advise you not to. I waited to update but since my substitute ending in a month, fair to say I have lost my money. They always post the same reply (sorry call us). Save your time and just don’t buy. You have been warned again and again. ———— Like the other 100s that complained about not being able to access the subscription I called customer service. Useless, they told me to call Apple. I’ve paid for this for 5 months now and I can’t use it. Terrible service and support. Do not purchase, you have been warned (yet again!). Edited: it now appears to be working and I had to log into my account and reset my password after they told me the dev. Had fixed the issue. I want to be either refunded for the five months I couldn’t use it or 5 months to be added to my subscription. It shouldn’t take that long to get a solution or an addition to your subscription. I’ve been totally reasonable but 160$ for 7 months of use is simply not worth it.

Highest Quality On App Store. I find that it is easier than writing my book while using this app because it is the highest quality dictation software I have found available and IPhone. I do believe there is a men’s room for improvement especially with regards to auto saving or features which verify whether or not you would actually like to delete selected text. My biggest gripe is that it is way too easy to accidentally delete a paragraph while doing any sort of multitasking or if the phone is just simply in your hand even attempting to copy the work that you’ve just created you can way to easily accidentally delete things otherwise the app does deliver upon expectations.

BAD THINGS HAVE HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY. I used Dragon about four years ago and loved it. I dictated hours of successful material and got very comfortable with the app. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my subscription because it was too expensive at the time. Recently, I decided to resubscribe and BAD THINGS HAVE HAPPENED TO THIS COMPANY. I have jumped through days of hoops and sketchy holds to get help with an absolutely ridiculous technical glitch preventing me from registering my license and actually using the app. Intra-departmental communication is abysmal, and there are a lot of artificially padded timelines that do nothing but make it seem as though Nuance is doing something when in fact they are kicking the ball down the road hoping you’ll go away. Simplify the process and allow subscriptions through the app for all users, even returning ones who originally subscribed online. In short. I recommend you choose one of the clunkier, cheaper apps or just take your chances with Siri. Nuance/Dragon support is incompetent in every way.

Better Than a Self Help Book. I have been a long-time user of Dragon dictation software, and several years back begin using Dragon anywhere on my iOS devices. If you are committed to maximizing your time to achieve a balance, this is where your time and money should be spent. Purchase, learn how to utilize effectively effectively, and you will immediately gain efficiency: emails; reports; white papers; etc. And regardless of what you may read or hear from friends or colleagues, free or less expensive dictation tools simply do not compare... i’ve tried them, save time and money and invest in the best.

Still problematic with absolutely no support. Still not ready, do not subscribe still problematic and doesn't seem to work with the new iPads. The real issue is your on your own there is no technical support whatsoever I had subscribed for a year prior and the program was buggy problematic I saw that they did upgrade recently and I decided to give it another shot. Right out of the gate did not work on my iPad. There is no help or support which is not acceptable. It's bad enough this is this is an expensive monthly fee which would be more tolerated if it work on all your devices The phone app work pretty well but what good is it if it doesn't work on all your devices I would say do not get this application The desktop version works great this app besides being too expensive does not live up to the reputation. For the iPad there's an app dictate Pro-version that works very well and for your iPhone voice texting deluxe works extremely well as alternate solutions. Hopefully someday Nuance will get it right and come down in price especially for people who have the desktop version. And how about some support, some technical support for their apps

They have a major problem. Tried to subscribe within the app. Told email is already registered. OK, fine, so reset password. Went back to app to login. Got pop up “You cannot login. Your account does not have access to this product”. Instructed, of course, to contact technical support. Who wants to use up their time for that? Leaving review because feeling kind of sorry for the people responsible - hey, folks, you could be a lot more successful. How many subscriptions do you suppose you have lost? Are you blaming your potential customers for not spending their time on workarounds? Investing in customer support to help (the 2% who do not give up) with those workarounds, rather. than spending your energy making it easy for us to spend our hard-earned money on your product? Update: “You can’t replicate my problem”? That gave me a good laugh - seriously, not being sarcastic - it’s funny due to all the other reviews describing the same problem.

This company has always had the worst service assistance possible. When it works it’s better then Siri.... however be warned... this company has one of the worst service departments of any for software. I have used dragon for years and each time it takes hours to fix software issues where it declares war with other software. So I was happy to see an application where I could finally stop using via computers and stop wasting hours trying to get their software to just work... but now I find the application has disappeared off my iPhone and surprise surprise it will not accept any login to acknowledge me now....and to get any help from nuance you have to PAY them to help you make their own app work... if I had not paid for the year, I could just re-install it under a new email and maybe it would actually work. But now I have to deal with trying to get it to work on a email it will not acknowledge.

Couldn't write without it. This app was exactly what I was looking for. I am an author and I found that the long hours on the keyboard was killing my hands. I already have carpal tunnel, but didn't want to have surgery. This app has kept me from doing that and so far the last book I wrote was through this app. It is so worth the money and much better speech recognition than the desktop programs I have tried from this company and others. Now my hands don't hurt and my output has doubled. Who can beat that?!

Dragon anywhere is just about the same as Dragon naturally speaking. I gave the app three stars instead of five because the Dragon anywhere program is just about as attentive to what you say to it as the online or on desktop program. Even if I follow the directions that come with the app the command still don't seem to work as they're supposed to. I wasted a lot of time today trying to get this thing to work properly. I think it's generally a good product, just not as good as Nuance tells us it is. Their support system is also pretty bad. Well her products are good customer support is very bad.

If you are looking for an aggravating experience this is the right app for you. I never even got to the use the app. The app is broken you receive the notification from apple that the subscription is active and then you can’t sign into the app. It says the email address doesn’t exist in there system. So I canceled it and tried their web site. Not any better you go through the whole purchase and then go back to the app and again it says email doesn’t exist in there data base after you receive an email to that same email with the receipt of your purchase. Then you go back to there web site to log into your account and after entering log in info page reloads and goes back to log in screen saying unknown error. Contacting customer service the next day was a waste of time also. It is amazing if this company is able to get any money from customers. Nothing works you cant even attempt to use the product. They really need to revamp there purchase process. Maybe someday i will actually be able to try the app. Someone from this company should actually try to purchase there own product so they can see how broken the process is. Complete fail.

Most accurate voice dictation I have found. I have been using this app now for a couple of months and in my own experience, it is the most accurate voice dictation in the app store. I use it anytime I need critical accuracy in dictation and am rapidly getting spoiled by it. The downside is that I do not like paying $15 per month for an app and it is still a toss-up in my mind as to whether the accuracy in dictation is worth the monthly cost. It really is a premium app in its performance and I don’t expect it for free, but just wish it were bit more reasonable in cost. It is a 6-star app in consistent performance, but I give it only four stars because it is so expensive.

Unbelievable beyond my Expectation. I was hesitant to pay 15 dollars per month for a mobile ability to dictate. I have used dragon for the past 10 years and I love it. It's technical in the beginning but once u train it, it works. Now this little app beats anything I have ever used to document. All u do is sign up and bam u are documenting. It recognizes ur voice without training. The only cons so far after a day of use is the commands are not easy and some won't work but I can stop and format how I like. I'm sure once I've been using longer won't be an issue. The other thing when u stop to correct a text it does jump u to the end of the page if u do not turn mic off. I have to say as sad as it is, all I need in life is my mobile dragon and my Netflix at the same great price. I won't even think twice about paying for this app!!!!!! Lol

No longer permits custom words. One of the best features of this product permitted users to customize words so that names, places and things that are not part of Nuance’s normal vocabulary can be recognized when dictating. While this feature is technically still present, you can no longer use your voice to train the program, thus making this feature essentially useless. I called customer support and the tech acknowledged that this was an issue. However, he told me that there was nothing that could be done. The loss of this feature crippled this app. I reset the app, deleted it and reinstalled it. Yet, this feature still not present. Dragon, if you are reading this review (and I hope you are) please correct this problem.

No back up history. Even though there is a little icon with checkmark that says ‘saved’ it is not save to anywhere you can recover from. I had a one page document I was honing for use with a teleprompter. I must have accidentally selected All. My daughter came into the room and it recorded several sentences from her speaking and all of my díctalas erased. I could only undo to where she started speaking, everything else was gone. I confirmed with Dragon tech support. All was lost. I’m going back to Google Docs dictation. Google spell check is superior too. Google backs up everything and it’s free. Now finding out how to cancel the subscription is not so intuitive, haven’t found it yet but wanted to leave a review first.

I Wanted To Report A Bug Issue. I am not sure if this app is slowly phasing out or not, but I do know that it’s tough to report bugs or issues now. When I click the “App Support” button here, it says, “Page not found.” Plus, whenever I go on the website, it sends me in limbo to try to make a report or anything concerning this app. In summary, I am thinking about quitting the service because the company is not seeming to put much behind this product that makes it worth what they are charging. Plus, I have had billing issues all of last year, and the problem was not really fixed at the end. So I can’t say that I have a lot of confidence in this company now. But anyway, I wanted to report that there is a glitch going on that’s causing it to be able to make it hard to email directly from the app. This function used to be a good thing, but due to the company's lack of support on this app, this seems to be an issue. Since there was nowhere else to report the bug, I am reporting it here.

Stop turning the mic off. I commute and would like to write while I'm driving. Writing is hard enough to start as it is, I don't need my dictation app turning the mic off after 20 seconds and giving me an excuse to stop. I do not care if it is taking up space in a data center or whatever weak excuse there is for it, just stop doing it. For $15 a month, you can afford it. The mic should stop when I tell it to stop and start when I tell it to start, which brings me to my next gripe. I can't turn the mic on by voice command while I'm driving, I have to press the on-screen mic button... let me stress this, While I'm Driving. There needs to be options to operate Dragon Anywhere completely hands free. Otherwise good app but currently hyper-frustrating.

Good grief haven’t they fix this yet?. Now they charge a monthly or yearly subscription. Having same problem other iPhone users are having. I carefully enter my email address and password. Then the app crashes. I opened it up and enter my correct information, and received notice that I don’t exist. Really? I canceled my subscription. Open the app again, entered my information only to be told I don’t exist a second time. I canceled my subscription again. Not sure I trust them enough to return to use this wonderful service. Because there are many iPhone users you would think they’d want the revenue brought in by this app. Good grief, where are the app developers? Why hasn’t dragon figured out the issue? And for heaven sake, why are they selling it if it’s defective?

Does not live up to Dragons other Products. Dragon make some excellent products. However this is not one of them. If it was a one time purchase it may be worth it but for the monthly subscription required to use this product it is definitely not worth it. It is very very poor at transcription. It does not recognize words which you have trained it to recognize or have added two it’s a vocabulary. It is not intuitive when it comes to adjusting words to fit the structure of the sentence. For example the words knot or not or the words to, too and two. You also have to speak very slowly for it to understand you. The Dictation that is available on your iPhone for free is much better. Even when transcribing medical terminology it is better than this Dragon app. This coming from a native English speaker.

Disrespected Customer. I have spent many hundreds of dollars for various Nuance software products including software and subscriptions to Dragon Dictate, dating back to 1997. Over the last two decades and more, I've repeated my commitment and repurchased the software disc, and when I updated my computers, I paid for it again with a download just a few years ago. Unfortunately your system NEVER REMEMBERS ME! When Nuance has no memory of me, it becomes expensive to be loyal. Moreover, it becomes a job in itself to try to reconnect, and reestablish what was at one time considered a fully paid grandfathered subscription for a longtime, loyal customer. I find it disingenuous and dishonorable. Fact: The product is great. Fact: I wouldn’t have bought it four times if I didn’t think so. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+ Fact: You have received my last dollar. Fact: Someone from the company is going to reach out to re-establish communication. Fact: If not, I’m going to buy a Barbie Doll, and and name it Dragon Dictate. poke pins un-used ears. LOL PLEASE FIX THIS! P•L•E•A•S•E!!!!! Out of principal, I can’t justify another subscription for the exact same thing.:

Dictation quality is great, but…. I really love the actual dictation part of this app, from the accuracy to how customizable it is. However, every single time I try to send my work to Dropbox, a message pops up saying that something went wrong and I have to go into settings, unlink from Dropbox, and then reconnect the app to dropbox, which requires signing in all over again. I also get a message telling me that sending it in email as an attachment or otherwise will not work and to check my email in settings, which I do every time and it is set up properly but it will not send. In other words, I can dictate all I want into this app but no export feature is working. I feel like I just threw $150 away. I will be calling support on Monday but I don’t have high hopes for a refund. As other reviews are saying, this app could be amazing but there are far too many glitches.

App malfunctions. Downloaded the app to try the free trial. The app randomly closed out after I signed up for the one month subscription. When I reopened it it asked me to redo the whole sign up process, but when I tapped the 1 month subscription again it said I had already successfully signed up. I then went to the sign in option and since I didn't have a password yet (app randomly closing me out and all that) I tapped the "forgot password" option. It said it would send me an email that I could use to change my password. Five attempts later and I still have not gotten an email. Keep in mind this is just all within the first 24 hours of downloading the app -- terrible first impression. I don't want to take the risk of buying a paid subscription since this is what I experienced with just the free trial.

Needs work.... While this is somewhat better than native iPhone voice to text, one of the primary functionalities that *should* make this far more useful, is the ability to add words and train them so that you can have a custom dictionary. That part barely works. After the program has heard hours and hours of my voice, adding a new word (like a client's last name) and pronouncing it to train it, still results in the app getting it wrong far more often than it's correct. I'm a native English speaker with barely any accent. I can't see myself keeping the rather expensive subscription much more than another month or so, just to see if it improves. Like so many other Dragon products, it is buggy and disappointing.

LESS than One Star!!!. I tried to install it since Dragon Talk went away. It would not accept my email to begin registration of the product. Since I own SEVERAL Nuance device and desktop apps, all under same email, I was astounded by that. I called for support (nothing else was available), and was connected with a rude man named “Manual” who said he was in Manila. He wanted me to give him my credit card over the phone to “register” the product, even though Nuance website doesn’t recognize my email as account holder. NICE TRY, SCAM SCUM!!! I will NOT buy, use or recommend this product! It worked well in the past, but at present their core business seems focused on scams and credit card fraud! Try it if you want, but remember: “I WARNED YOU!!!”

Subscription for two years wasted. My husband got this and then he had paid subscription for two years or more. My credit card was charged $15 each month. He barely used it and when he went back to it to get the work he had already done, he couldn’t find it. He tried to get help from the software company that was not helpful at all. I was not aware that he stopped using this app almost a year ago. Lately we were reviewing all of the expenses and found out that there were still charges every month. I had to call Apple and finally cancelled the subscription. The amount of money we paid them was not worth at all. I don’t even think there is a paid version.

Come on, get some decent customer service!. I have been using Dragon desktop for about 10 years and dragonanywhere since 2017. while it is not perfect, I have found that, in general, it serves very well. I especially like the custom word and custom formatting possibilities. However, for the past two weeks, I have gotten a message when I logged in telling me that my subscription has expired, even though I renewed it in February for another whole year. I talked to somebody on the phone when this first happened, and nothing happened. Then I submitted a request online with a very detailed explanation of what was going on. They told me that they had “escalated” this matter, and that would take usually 24–48 hours. It’s been over a week now and nothing has happened. When I called their support center, the person told me he could not do anything about it and I will just have to wait. This is absolutely horrible!

Too many errors. iOS built-in voice to text is much more accurate. After trying this product for several days there are numerous problems that make it not only not worth paying for but also irritatingly deficient. 1. Inability to remember corrected pronouns such as iOS does. 2. Suddenly stops working for no apparent reason during the middle of the paragraph. 3. After getting a paragraph or two correct suddenly seems to be confused and changes the words completely. Maybe this is because none of the processing is done on the phone but in the cloud. But the times I am referring to all had continuous Wi-Fi connectivity. I would not pay $1.99 per month let alone $15 per month for such ineptitude.

Couldn't log and support was no help. Most frustrating experience I've ever had. Couldn't login, kept saying email and password didn't match even though they were correct. Tried to change password- just in case - kept saying can't reach server. But I entered an incorrect password just to test it and it said password not in our system so it was able to connect. Call support but got less than no help from them. How's less than no help possible? They transferred me all around and I wasted two hours of my life on this product that won't work and no one really seemed interested in fixing it - though they'd been well trained to say they were sorry I was having a problem. Maybe it works for other people but I can't access it and it just left me incredibly annoyed and frustrated.

Hamburger menu crashes app. Please note that the hamburger menu crashes the app on iOS 14 beta 6. It’s impossible to get to your menu of documents. I’d rather not go through the whole beta unable to access my documents, so would appreciate a fix for this. There are many, many issues with sharing on iOS 13. It usually just doesn’t work, so I use clipboard instead. In particular, Ulysses, which used to work with your app beautifully, no longer works, nor Drafts. Ipad version I mean. IPhone version seems to work. Perhaps better testing of iPad version would help. As usual, language recognition is excellent.

Disappointing... poor tech support and customer service.. I tried this program in hopes that it would assist in word processing entry. Perhaps my lack of research, but the app only works in its own programming (it doesn’t allow you to use the feature in Word, Notepad or any other area. The word recognition was poor, and I became frustrated with it within an hour and stopped using it. Cancelling the monthly subscription led to more frustration. The website leads you to the order page and the instruction to “manage your subscription” which is not visible on either my IPad or IPhone... a call the tech support, a first line tech and a supervisor, then to a “shop” staff finally allowed Nuance to cancel my subscription... but none of the three could instruct me on how to do so myself. I’ve used Dragon software in the past and had great results, however this version was not usable in my situation.

Love this App except.... I love this app in so many ways. It is easy to use, carries all of the powerful ability that much of the desktop version does, and yet there is one thing that really hurts it in my opinion...the price. I hate that this is a subscription rather than an upfront and outright purchase. I would probably be ok with it if the cost was $5/mo but $15/mo is crazy high. Do you get what you pay for with this app? I think so. If your company or business will cover the subscription, don’t think twice and get it. If you’re an everyday Joe looking for the ability to dictate on your phone without bells and whistles...definitely better options out there.

Problems tapping menu. Not sure what has happened to the software since May, but now on my iPhone, when I tap the menu on the top left, the menu does not show up, many of the buttons disappear and the text makes an odd shift to the right. It all works ok in landscape though. I’ve updated software, deleted and reinstalled, etc. but there seems to be a glitch now. Not recommend until this glitch is fixed. I’ve used this app for over 6 years daily.

Barely works. The dictation is fine. But the app is a bug riddled mess. I linked it to my Dropbox and all my documents disappeared from Dragon Dictate. Well, the files were in my Dropbox folder, but they were not able to be opened again in Dragon Anywhere. I tried linking to my Evernote. That did not work either. In fact, using the “sign in with Google” option returns an error message. So I couldn’t link my Dragon Anywhere and Dropbox accounts. Nuance has been around a looooonnnng time. You’d think they’d have this figured out by now. But they don’t. I want to use Dragon Anywhere. But I am afraid my files are gonna get deleted or I won’t be able to open them. This app is so full of bugs that it’s a wonder Nuance stays in business. I will never pay $300 for the desktop version of Dragon, because Dragon Anywhere has made me afraid of how broken I imagine it to be.

Good product but glitches. I’ve used this app for over four years and have encountered two glitches - one where I am told my account doesn’t exist and requires me to restore my purchase, and another where it stops sending my dictation over email. The latter is about to be a dealbreaker for me, because I now have to cut and paste into a separate app and cannot login to nuance for assistance since I purchased through the App Store. There have also been surprisingly few upgrades over the years, at least ones noticeable to me. I think the app is ready for a refresh, and I hope this brand will live up to its reputation for being the best dictation platform.

Dragon is the real deal!. I almost never write reviews. But as someone who needs to use voice to text in my life I am extremely disappointed in Siri. I do frequently have to use technical terms but even when I don't it's scary to see the number of auto correct errors in makes. When I looked for an alternative voice to text program I can honestly say Dragon has turned out to be everything I dreamed it could. From the most technical jargon I use to the most basic speech has incredible capabilities and is easily trainable. You have both the option to indicate phonetically how it should sound and if that is not effective go into the vocabulary you've created special words hit the train button and I've yet to see it fail after one single pronunciation to train even complex words. This program is expensive relative to others but when you consider its incredible sophistication for me it is a game changer. While this review does not contain any real complicated language it was written by me on Dragon one attempt. I have no interest financially in this product and happen to be a physician and involved in pharmaceutical development.

Horrendous customer service. I have been a Dragon Anywhere subscriber from day one. I have had nothing but problems with the subscription service. And good luck trying to get through to technical support. The product itself is pretty good. Today four calls got me absolutely nowhere except for unanswered music on the last call. About one hour completely wasted. They must be saving quite a bit of money by using people with limited English to field customer support questions. And poor quality VOIP telephone systems. But they must not factor in all the lost revenue from people who become frustrated with things that should be really easy made hard and frustrating. On the third call, I pointed out to the customer support representative that she was about to send me to the wrong department . I asked for her employee number, nicely, and she said she couldn’t give me that information. You’ve got to be kidding me. As it stands, it looks like I have been charged $150 for one year of service. But of course it’s not linking up with my phone. I’m about ready to give up forever. For those interested in a similar service, check out Just Press Record. You can dump those recordings right into your Dragon desktop software.

It really deserves more than two stars but.... I had a subscription to this app two years ago. It had a very good transcription rate... between 80% to 90%. It was that good. I’ve canceled the subscription because I ended up not using it during the editing part of my work. Then my wrists started acting up, and thought this would be the next best thing to continue working. I re-subscribed to Dragon Anywhere back in November 16, 2020, and am writing this review on November 26, 2020. Ten days into my subscription and I have not been able to get into the app. I have been in touch with both Apple and Nuance to address this issue, downloaded, deleted and re-downloaded the app at least five times. Canceled my subscription and attempted at resubscribing, not to mention having a two hour phone call with Nuance and Apple’s customer service... still, couldn’t log in. I changed my password, tried restoring a subscription... same thing. When it works, this app is phenomenal. You can train it, and it requires minimal editing in terms of punctuations. So, if you’re one of the lucky ones who got it to work, well done you. They also have excellent customer service, courteous and you can tell that they try to do their best to help. It is regrettably too glitchy for the five-star rating the app deserves.

This app helped me get through undergrad!. No seriously, I have fleshed out countless papers at this point using Dragon Anywhere. Sure, you will probably want to double check for your editing, but this application is great for getting content and raw ideas on paper. If I were to suggest one minor update for Dragon to implement, I would absolutely love it if there was an active word-count to help users keep track of their progress as they dictate the text. Whenever I have a 20-40 page research paper it can be a little difficult to gauge how much progress I have actually accomplished. Also, a tool for inserting footnotes would also be a huge help for users like myself.

Astonishingly disappointing. I was actually astonished at how bad this app was. It has such a great reputation, maybe that’s just for the desktop version? I tried using this for a writing project on an iPhone 11 in American English. It was slow, rarely understood my speech when a common proper name happened to be included, the command functions worked maybe one time out of seven, and I spent most of my time typing and arguing with it. For comparison, I’m using the native voice to text feature on my phone to write this and it’s going significantly better. If you are a writer who is curious about Dragon due to the hype, the app that is simply called Dictate works much better, is very cheap, and is a slight improvement over native Apple dictation function. As for dragon, I can’t understand where this great reputation comes from. This app does nothing that it says it does. Would absolutely not recommend.

So much potential, yet so little support.. When it works, it’s excellent! I purchased this at the same time that I purchased the new version of Dragon for the Mac v6. Unfortunately, I was never able to get Dragon Anywhere to sync with the desktop version as advertised. Since this was the primary reason I purchased the product. The manufacture customer support was unable to resolve the issue, and after repeated calls and conflicting instructions, I gave up. If you don't plan to buy the desktop software, then I can recommend it The main problem with this product is that the company is lazy when to comes to providing updates. It has so much potential, and I wish Apple would buy the company and fix it. Most of us Mac users know that Siri is dumb as a rock when it comes to voice recognition, and this product could be leveraged to fix that.

Frustrating and impossible to launch app. Like other users, my experience trying to launch this has been frustrating. I registered on the Apple Store and it could not sync my subscription because, apparently, you have to create an account with Nuance first. Or so I’m guessing now after hours of trying to figure this out. Their support and customer service is non-existent. While this might be a good product, I’ll never know. I could never find a way to fix my login problem and use the product, after at least 4 hours of trying. I’m shocked and frustrated with this company’s lack of respect for users—unbelievable since they’ve are not new to this market. Both in the app and on their website, the support is not there when things don’t go as planned. The knowledge base is useless.

Horrible and expensive. This app is to glitchy and loses your hard work and information. I had to renew my subscription and I went through the website to renew the subscription because the app would not work. After I paid $15 I tried to go back into the app and it would not allow me to dictate although I had updated my payment information and they withdrew the funds. For hours I sat here on my iPhone and try to get the app to work. I even deleted the app and reinstalled it and logged in with my email address, well all my documents are now gone lost. You would think that I could login and all my information would be there but it’s gone all my notes all my hard work. If you were going to use the system I would not rely on it and I especially wouldn’t be putting your most precious work into it. This is not the first time I’ve lost information using this app actually this is the second time. Their customer support is horrible their website is confusing And the app is to glitchy. When it works it has great potential but if the app is going to lose all your work I don’t know what the point is an even using the app. Be very cautious buying this as it glitches at the worst times when I needed this the most, it wouldn’t work and will glitch out for hours like now.

One star until I can manage to login. I’m giving this app one star until I can actually login. The system tells me that my password is incorrect. No problem, I’ll just reset my password. The issue, however, is that I am not receiving the email to reset my password. I am 100% sure it is the email I used to purchase the product. For $300 I feel like I’ve purchased a product that shouldn’t be in version 15 as products that are this deep into version numbers don’t have the deep issues the dragon speech comes with. So far I feel like a good value for this product is $150 not $300. This issue of not being able to log into dragon anywhere is just the cherry on the top

Great until it’s not!!!! Fix your glitches then 5*****. It crashes then it won’t work!!!! Updated review: Originally have this a 1 and now I’m changing to a 3 because this app is great but glitchy! It does crash because I spoke to another user and his crashes at times too but he loves it like I do so we just bear with it. The other issue is technical support is not 24 hours and there was a lady who was a little rude but when I called initially but oh well... I will say If you can get in touch with tech support they will help you although kinda abrupt and rude... So back to the app... First I had an issue with it being frozen. So I tried to turn my phone off, turn it back on, and then go back into the app no dice. Then I tried uninstall and then reinstall and just my dumb luck I forgot my password so I tried to reset my password but it wouldn’t send me the link instead I got a message on my screen that said “Please try again we are unable to contact the server please try again later” which would not go away!!! It stayed like that for several hours. I had to wait until customer service opened up at 8am to get in touch with tech support. I hate to complain because, As I said before they helped me and I do really like the accuracy of dragon anywhere just need to iron out the kinks...

Well worth the money. This app has been so useful to me, my arms, my hands, and my shoulders thank the creators. Lol. The insertion of punctuation, as well as the lack of grammatical occurrences, and the ability to recognize these types of hours is quite useful differentiates this app from others like it. I doubt that you will be disappointed if you work in any type of field where you have to draft lengthy correspondences and are constantly restricted to your cell phone, where spelling and grammar go off and I noticed, and many times are corrected in ways that one would not want. Buy it, you will not be sorry.

Impossible to log in. I don’t know what’s going on with Nuance, but I can no longer log onto their site, which means I can’t manage my subscription to this app. No matter what browser I use, and regardless of whether I use a tablet or a notebook, I get the message "An unknown error occurred." I’ve reset my password multiple times, but it makes no difference. Apparently many other people are having the same issue, which has persisted for months; oddly, Nuance doesn’t seem to care. Even before I encountered this problem, I’d found that Dragon Anywhere was less accurate than it had been. For a while, it worked very well, but now, given the combination of the app's deteriorating performance and the company’s broken website, I can’t recommend it at all.

Paid for 12-month subscription through Nuance and isn’t recognized on App. I was previously using Dragon anywhere and had good success with it. I had to renew my subscription and was not able to do so through the app and went through the Nuance website and logged in through my account to renew it for another 12 months but it has not been able to be recognized on the Dragon anywhere app and is not available and my iTunes subscriptions. I’ve been trying for multiple days to get this resolved through the technical support of Nuance but have not been able to do so. I am very disappointed in the product and service and am still currently working to get a full refund of my money. It is unfortunate that there is not a better dictation solution available for Mac users as Nuance does not support a desktop version for Mac anymore.

Horrible customer service and support. I am trying to install this software to use with my business and I was considering implementing it with all my employees but I am seriously looking for another app that can fill this need. I installed the software but I was unable to subscribe because it is telling me that I already have a subscription. I then try to sign in and I am told that I do not have a subscription. I go into ITunes and it shows I have a subscription. I called tech support and they told me they could do nothing to help me and to call sales. I called sales and was told they could not help me and I had to call tech support. I have been going through this for 3 days. I wish I could give this a negative number of stars. I am very disappointed in how I have been treated and if this is normal for their customer service I could never recommend this software to anyone. *** update to review The developer was finally able to fix the app so I was able to log in but it took weeks and this review to finally get help. I’m thankful that it was finally fixed but the process is difficult to navigate. Thank you for fixing it and I look forward to trying the app and I’ll update this review again once I have.

READ THIS for iPhone 7+ with iOS 10.3.3 thru 11.0.1. This app is absolutely fantastic! But there are some problems with subscribing from within the app downloaded from the App Store for the iPhone. This review applies to an iPhone 7+ running iOS 10.3.3 through 11.0 .1. I have no way of knowing whether this review is valid on any other iPhones or versions of IOS. If you download this app and press the Subscribe button, and subscribe from within the app, you will never get the app to work. This applies to iOS 10.3.3 through 11.0 .1. You must first set up your account at the Nuance website. And then download the app. I did it the wrong way during the last week of September 2017, and I wasted a great deal of time with the Nuance tech support and also Apple tech support. There is simply no other way to do it then first purchasing the trial from the Nuance website, or skip the trial and purchase the subscription right away, otherwise your life will be filled with incredible time wasting headaches and hassles. Besides that, this app is absolutely fantastic! Incidentally, there is no difference in price. But purchasing the subscription from Nuance offers the option of a yearly subscription that gives you 12 months for the price of 10.

An amazing example of just what technology can do!. I've been using this product for about six months. It still amazes me with its accuracy and the overall ease of use. I have only given it four stars because I really want them to find a better way to integrated into the rest of the iOS ecosystem. At present, it relies upon you copying text from the dictation notepad into the application you want to use. It does support sending email directly from within the application, but I haven't found that quite as convenient when you are replying to someone's email. Leaving that aside – because a big part of that problem is just the rules which Apple enforces for application separation – I have to say that I find this product quite astounding. It has really changed the way I work. I travel with an iPad mini, and this allows me to work very productively without the need for any external keyboard. If you think you would find this product interesting I recommend that you sign up for the trial. See how much you make use of it, and then decide whether it's worth the $15. That is what I did, and I then signed up for a years worth of service.

Major flaw!. I purchased/committed to the trial of Dragon anywhere. While I find it to be effective in dictating there are significant editing limitations. For example, I had dictated all my clinical notes as a trial the software. Somewhere along the way several paragraphs of notes deleted. I found no way to restore the hour of work of writing/dictating that was lost. In fact, while working to restore the lost paragraphs, I lost the final two paragraphs. As I see, there is no way to restore un-edit or undo typing, via Dragon anywhere. The risk then becomes in the event that you make a notable error there does not present to be any easy or simple way to restore the document or typing it was lost. I will and my subscription today because of this error/inability, fearing that such could happen again. I use Dragon for Mac extensively in my clinical practice, finding it to be ineffective way to dictate charts/clinical notes. I was hoping that Dragon anywhere would provide similar feature, without having to lug around a computer and headset to do my notes. Maybe in the future Nuance will figure this out, but at this point I would not recommend this program.

Worst customer service. After the one week trial period, I renewed the subscription but it doesn’t work. I keep getting message “this account has not been granted access to this product. Please contact Nuance tech support”. So, I contacted them, the consultant didn’t know what he was doing but finally agreed to escalate the issue. Followed up two days later, and got the same line that have escalated the issues and waiting for the US team to respond. They couldn’t give me a timeframe or so anything further. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

Terrible - useless. This product is not only terrible but useless, got the subscription to help me with transcribing ny meetings with clients, and very quickly figured out that the accuracy of transcription is below 30%. Compared to transcription feature on Microsoft teams this is zero value. Everytime I placed my iPhone 13 pro in a close location to the source of sound and made sure quality of sound is perfect, but simply it does not work. DON’t WASTE ANY MONEY ON IT. Gave it a chance and it badly failed!!!!!

Unable to create password to even trial out the app. As per title, seek support and after 4 weeks there is no resolution. See timeline: 20th July: After phoning through for assistance, I have deleted and reinstalled the App on the ipad as advised. However as it couldn't be resolved, I was suggested to send a screenshot so that the technical team could have a look. 21th July: Screenshots sent via email. 22nd July: You acknowledged the receipt of the screenshots. You had also asked if I have tried to create an account today and if I am still facing the same issue? 24th July: After deleting and downloading the 3rd time, I still have no success, it's the same as the original issue that was brought up on 20th July. 3rd August: You replied "Is the WiFi on your device enable? Please note the Dragon Anywhere app requires either WiFi or mobile data to work." 3rd August: I confirmed that I have an active data connection at all times on my ipad. 9th August: Your response "Could you tell us your current location we need to check if you are in a non-supported location." 9th August: I replied that I am based in Adelaide. 12th August: Your response "Is there a way that you can download Dragon Anywhere on another iOS device to test against?" See TLDR, there isn’t a helpful response over the weeks other than asking the customer piecemeal over external factors. I hope others have better luck with the app.

App support. Hopeless to try to install or resubscribe. I have used Dragon anywhere for some time but this is a new unimproved version. Subscribed wouldn’t open or allow password, and support requires subscription. Avoid!

crashes. App set up then work only rarely. No help from site. Pity PC product good

not working support is non existent. i am trialling this the instructions are not clear particularly for fixing typo or incorrect transcript. pity, the desktop version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, which I have been using for many years is excellent. It is likely that these reviews for this app will also give that a bad name, but Nuance doesn’t seem to care.

Log in issues. I paid my annual subscription fee, downloaded the app and then could not even log in. After 3 weeks of no action from Nuance, I have requested a refund.

Terrible product. Does not work. Will jot record words effectively. Impossible to cancel and get a refund. Customer service is non existent. If not for it being an approved big tech firm I would assume this was a scam

Maybe it works with American accents. Because it doesn’t with mine.

‘In app purchase’ means ‘pay to use it’. Never mind.

Take a few breasts and relax. Because this is NOT the app for you. Translates breaths to breasts!!! Incorrectly translates complete sentences that have you scratching your head wondering what the actual heck you said in that section. Inserted weird names of people Rick Kilroy, Moretz, Branley, Armstrong.... I never love referred to anyone person or a name. Dictated so so bad, I literally have to start again and type it from scratch. Insanely disappointing!

Crashes. App keeps crashing when trying to setup account! Good luck trying find help

Good buy. Works for what I need it for. It’s the best I have tried. Works quickly and best it saves as you go.

If you’re Australian - don’t bother. It sounded too good to be true: and it was. No Australian version. AUD$23.00 per month. I tried 3 letters and gave up. No option for training and word importation is very basic. Seriously for this much money per year you would expect a desktop replacement program. This is worse than Dragon Naturally Speaking Version 7 that I wasted good money on back in 2003. Innovation without progress.

Updated review: it’s actually good. I originally hated this. But then I tried every other app imaginable. This one is far superior and with a bit of training you can write really good notes really easily. You need to train a few key words you use. And if you’re in a noisy area just speak into your phone microphone don’t use headphones. It’s the only app I’ve found that lets you train a large vocab, allows you to do big autotexts, allows you to spell out words without bugs, and format with more options. Office word misspells heaps of words and drives me nuts. iOS isn’t bad at all but you can train or add to the vocabulary in the same way as you can with this app. My only request is that you could import a list of words. For some reason I can’t do that despite following their instructions. It has sped up my practice enormously and my notes are far better than they ever have been. Give it a bit of time and you’ll find it to be quite good!!

Not recognising active subscription. The jury is still out re how useful this app. will be. I hadn’t used it for a while, due to phone and connection issues, unrelated to the app. My subscription renewed in May, but when I tried to start using Anywhere again, it says the subscription has expired. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but every time I tap the microphone the ‘subscription has expired’ message comes up. As many others have commented, it’s not easy to get help, doesn’t seem to be a way to submit an online request. Now I’m waiting til Mon to try the phone support.

Don’t bother. It’s hopeless. I’m uninstalling.

Very buggy, disappointing for such expensive subscription. I’m so disappointed at the nuance suite. I subscribed to this thinking it would solve my transcription woes. It is extremely buggy when adding new words to the vocabulary. Often freezing or not immediately recognising the new additions so cannot add them to my transcription. Please fix this problem because at the moment I cannot recommend this app.

Very disappointing. Quite disappointed in this app. It is a free download but you must then subscribe to use in any way. While there is a one week trial this doesn’t seem like an honest approach. The app doesn’t even indicate that it has in app purchases, an the subscription will automatically be deducted from your iTunes account- very poor practice.

Zero stars. Way less accurate than Siri so why bother?

Difficulty cancelling. When trying to cancel subscription a pop up told me I needed to log onto Uk or German site because that was where I had uploaded from (I’m in Australia) when I clicked to the UK, the same pop up said I needed to log onto USA because that was where I had purchased ........ then it told me to go to UK! I gave up following the nonsensical loop. Still paying! Will need to phone now!

Very poor experience from the start!. I decided to ignore the reviews (which are pretty bad) and give Dragon Anywhere a try on my iPad anyway. Bad decision! Bad dictation. Profile can't load. Non-existent commercial or technical support. Sometimes one star is too much. I use the desktop application Version of the Nuance product on my work laptop (I'm quadriplegic and it's the only way I can get through my work day) and it's actually very good. However this subscription app has so many problems. The first problem occurred when I tried to make my purchase outside of the App Store and I got thrown around in this never ending loop between the UK and US chapters of Nuance. Evidently they're fighting over incoming business. Once I realised it was easier to complete the purchase through the App Store and I installed the application I used it for a week (taking advantage of the free trial) and despite not really being happy with the dictation Quality at all I decided to purchase a month subscription anyway to try out a bit more. So after paying for a month the app is telling me it can't load my profile. Once again I am stuck not being able to access the product. Although I have only had one week to try the product before it's decided to effectively unsubscribe me I have to say that it is terrible. The dictation is very inaccurate (compared to the desktop application, it's hard to believe it even the same company). The time lead from speak to type is very slow. I typed this review using Apple voice recognition (which is average) and is a dream compared to this terrible software. Go elsewhere I implore you!

Poor setup experience and output. You are asked to create a password and enter it twice. After I did that, it then decided to tell me the password rules. Is this meant to be a guessing game? And then I couldn't edit the 16 character password I'd created - I had yo start over. After doing all that it then asks you to login and enter your password. How lazy are your programmers and ux team? The transcription is clearly very poor. It inserts advertising text you did not say. It spams your actual dictation by appending an advertisement... which you have to delete. This is not a serious product and the advertised functionality is misleading.

Don’t waste your money. Downloaded subscribed and paid and cant access the product or use it. Wont even let me set up a password - goodness but this is a bad experience. Don’t waste your money. Words’ inbuilt dictate is actually very good these days and I’m sticking with it I cancelled the subscription and obtained a refund. In fairness the Dragon standalone PC products are very good and the Word program dictation has come a long way. There was no way to get any support from Nuance and the only way to get a response to my situation was to leave a review. Too little and too late. Seriously in 2021 its not good enough.

Does what I want it to do. I’m still learning the features - but so far so good

Not even a taste. WOW- $ 22.99 monthly Annual is $229.99 I have not even tried it out because of the Subscription Wall.

Couldn’t even log in. Have been using dragon naturally speaking on my PC for over 15 years. Love it. I have tried multiple times to activate this app. It’s like a ridiculous exercise in frustration management trying to set this stupid app up.

Don’t waste your money!. My subscription would not renew, and there is no support. The support links just send you in a frustrating loop. It’s not a good product anyway, not accurate, can’t type at the same time, and it can’t even spell my name! Much better to use free packages like Google Docs Voice Typing . Dragon is very old technology which hasn’t improved much, their poor service is not helped by a dizzying array of variations.

Really rubbish. This service was really bad, often wouldn’t open, slow to react when it did open, once open it didn’t translate well at all - cancelled after less than a week

Not readybfir iOS. The app worked great on my Samsung- with limitations of needing to be connected to cloud to use the app. Now I've moved to iphone and the system is slow and buggy. I have to tap keyboard to wake it from minimised state and after minimising keyboard the mic will not automatically go green. have to reactivate it. Spell check will not work with the keyboard at all. When tying a patient name in the title bar say "Bob Dylan". it will generate about 15 new docs with various titles such as B, Bo, Dy. Absolutely ludicrous. If anyone knows a better app, please tell me -I hate paying good money every month for the terrible service.

Buggy. Very buggy. Typing patients names as title can take minutes. Dictation is okay

Unusable program. I signed up for an account on my desktop as per the instructions and then downloaded the app to sign in. It says my password is incorrect. I double checked my login for my Dragon account and the password was correct. I tried 5 more times. Then tried to Reset Password and it says if an account exists it will send me a link to reset. No email ever shows up to reset the password. Super frustrating and pointless app! Cannot use it at all.

They cannot be serious. Nuance cannot be serious offering this app. Most times nothing I dictated got transcribed (and yes, it has access to the mic, and yes, I have a strong and fast internet connection). When it did transcribe, it either dropped the first phrase or did not continue to transcribe after my first pause. And the accuracy is abysmal. I tried it on 2 different IPad pros and the result was the same. I also tried it over several days in case Nuance was having a temporary glitch at their processing end. The same every time.

App no longer works. I am unable to connect to Dropbox. I am unable to import documents. All the online support numbers for Dragon are actually disconnected and you can’t talk to anyone or get support for this malfunctioning app.

unfair business practice. In my opinion, Nuance is not conducting fair business practice for product purchasers of Dragon IOS. Nuance has stopped supporting the purchased product (my Dragon will now, not work with newer IOS versions). I believe this lack of support is designed to abandon the user owned product, and force users to obtain a renamed “Dragon Anywhere”, expensive subscription that you must pay on an ongoing basis forever.

En français?. Ce serait vraiment utile que cela fonctionne aussi en français!!!

FAILED APP. I first downloaded the app and used it for a while. However, it's garbage because: 1) password reset does not work 2) login via website, orders processed via DigitalRiver do not match was the App knows about login and password - I cannot login and there are reviews by others with the same issue - I am cancelling my subscription, this is now the second time this has happened - Have lost $30 dollars. 3) Nuance/Dragon customer service is garbage - cannot be reached easily, and when I called them twice, they could not access the account, troubleshoot, or help It seems like digitalriver handles the payments, which they are more than happy to do, but then Nuance/Dragon, on their server-side has no clue how to link accounts, generate password resets (web resets but the app does not allow login - almost like it does not access the same database) AWEFUL APP - DO NOT USE UNTIL DRAGON RE-DOES THIS APP!

Nope. Already had and used this app on and off for years with no problems at all, now they want an outrageous subscription fee for it? Absolutely not.

Copy text feature malfunctioning. Since updating to the latest iOS in Oct 2017, the copy text feature no longer works and freezes the app.

Great for capturing meeting notes. Easy to use. Dragon does a terrific job recognizing my speech.

Sitting on its laurels. After years of acquiring and merging competitors — the product is now a confused mess. An example of its outdated approach is an excerpt from the purchase email: “Please save a backup copy to a ZIP drive, Floppy disks, etc., of the file(s) that you downloaded in case you have computer or hard disk problems.” ...floppy disks? — I know since I have used ViaVoice since the 1990s, but good luck explaining that to the next generation! The product line could have been so much more but now it’s a Frankenstein company with disjointed departments and an outsourced call centre utterly clueless (albeit polite)

Doesn't work as promised. It won't let me synchronize with my existing Dragon account for desktop. Worst of all, it doesn’t seem to accept dictation from the built in mic on the iPad at all. The volume indicator suggests it knows when I am speaking, but it never types anything. Only Bluetooth headsets work, and not very well at that. Customized vocabulary isn’t recognized nearly as well as on the desktop. There is no option to "spell that", so if the correction you want isn't in the list, you're out of luck. There is no "delete X" option, so you have to use "select X", "delete that", "go to end", which is so tedious. It's overall unusable unless you want really crude transcription that you will correct extensively manually later.

French translation. Pas en français? 👎

Fails from step one. Don’t bother with this. They can’t get their website working, they can’t figure out how to accept payment, and then they can’t figure out how to provide any kind of solution for the problems they’ve created. Also, for Anywhere service, you have a M-F 9-5 window to get support. Not remotely conducive to an efficient business product.

Not worth the money. The payment gateway is the worst that I have ever seen. The product accuracy is essentially not much better than Siri dictating into Microsoft Word. Unless you have a very specific need for this product it does not remotely reach the standard of the Dragon NaturallySpeaking products for either PC or the Mac. I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking since version two and I am deeply disappointed at the result.

Never got it to take any dictation. Useless!

Major productivity boost for teaching and research. I have had a major productivity boost in preparing drafts for talks, memos, and research notes with Dragon Anywhere.

Terrible!. This barely works! It makes so many mistakes I might as well not bother. I speak clearly and it can’t even recognize simple words. Very annoying.

Best product. Absolutely terrible decision to convert original dragon to Paid app! Nuance is now competing with 10 free voice dictation transcription apps that work quite well for free! You had the iOS market? Keep the paid product to professional use Legal/ medical/ PC

Poor word recognition etc.. I have been using Dragon Professional for a few years. It works well. Dragon Anywhere is its underdeveloped cousin which does not work at all well. It lacks the ability for me to teach it words which it miss-hears. Poor accuracy compared to the PC version. I will continue to experiment with it a little longer to see if I can get a bit more functionality out of it. This review was typed and not dictated because if I had dictated it, you would not understand what I had written...

Complete waste of time. I am still waiting for an activation password Do not waste your time

Complete Disaster. Took 3 times longer to do anything. Opening the document into word didn’t properly maintain forMatting , meaning I had to copy and paste it each time and then remove formatting to fix it. Doesn’t integrate right into word, so you have to constantly move from Dropbox etc. to where you want it to go. Once you export it as a word doc it deleted the file from the app itself. Giving it directions only worked like have the time. Things like backspace key, undo etc. often didn’t work. When you say next paragraph it actually skips two lines, which is annoying. You can’t dictate and type simultaneously. It’s an app with so much potential that completely falls short of helping. It truly took 3 times longer. No spellcheck or auto punctuation. Of all dictation software, this was the worst I’ve used. DO NOT BUY OR USE.

Be aware. We bought the previous version. They disabled it and if I want to use the same app now, just with a cosmetic change I am supposed to buy a subscription. This is not how this should be!

Indicating French as a language is misleading. French is not supported by the app as a dictation language, only the interface can be in French while English and German are interface and dictation language. You indicated in an email a year ago that French will be supported eventually in a future update but still no sign of it. Could you confirm when since for people working in French like me the app is essentially useless.

Cannot login. These issues are completely unacceptable.. Thought I’d try Dragon Anywhere. Before I could even get started, the app got caught in a death loop. App failed with an error that said I had no Internet…right after I downloaded it with 5G. It still took my subscription and payment information, but wouldn’t let me log in or reset password, despite numerous attempts. This is completely unacceptable. No f-ing way I would trust this company with a paid subscription. By the way, I’m dictating this review using my iPhone. Goodbye Dragon! Update: I should NEVER have to phone a call centre just to login for the first time. To the developer: Please fix your tech!

Greed.. Overpricing seems to be a company wide thing and it’s not new. I bought this for Mac and an OSX update knocked it out. The only option was to buy it again, a new version at a couple hundred bucks. Some other companies need to step up on developing their similar products and teach Nuance a market lesson. At $20/m or $200/yr for an iOS app this is insane.

Lost my document. I was on day one of the seven day trial period, dictated about 3000 words and the document disappeared. I connected with Dragons help and was transferred the another company who charged me five dollars to tell me the document wasn’t retrievable. So no, I don’t recommend this app.

A great app. This is a phenomenal app. It synchronizes my voice files with my laptop and my iPad. It is just as accurate as my computer. I use it for all sorts of work and it really takes the iPhone and iPad to a new level.

Not for single users. I signed up for Dragon Anywhere and couldn’t figure out how to use it on my Mac. It seems to be only for my mobile, which is not “anywhere”. This was after struggling with their convoluted sign up process. When I finally gave up it couldn’t figure out how to cancel my subscription. Very frustrating but mostly dissappointing.

Terrible. Terrible!! I can’t even use it This software is supposed to make your life easy not complicated. Just make it easy user friendly We are not in 19th century. Lost my money and time and I can’t even use the software after I followed the instruction

Need a Driving Mode. The voice to text capability is really impressive. I bought this mostly so I can use my driving time to journal down notes and ideas. But the mic would turn off on its own after only 1 min of inactivity. The red mic screen button is way too small to aim while driving. For the price, this app should really have a driving mode like Audible has. This mode would then just have one big red mic button on the screen to reactivate the mic. There’s no need to have the text on the screen since one shouldn’t be reading it while driving. PLEASE make a driving mode available!

Awesome Mobile Dragon. Easy to use and accurate speech recognition. The ability to Send to Evernote is great!

Don’t bother. You can’t even reset your password properly in order to log in to give them money. It is absolute garbage and I do not understand why they decided to do business this way. A lot of their clients have issues with mobility and their response is to charge them 200 a year for nothing. I really wish there was an alternative. It is amazing I cannot even use MY OWN account to use their even worse product.

Dragon is disappointing. I struggle to type in patients names. Slow and bizarre things happen. Hard to know what will happen. Voice recognition is mediocre. 5 minutes per letter. Just awful.

This app wasted hours of my time. I used it trying to get it to work made a long document, talking for hours. Full of errors but sure okay if that wasn’t enough it wouldn’t even allow the doc to be shared outside the app. I’ve tried emailing 100 times, syncing with everything it recommends and nothing. Glitchy. Doesn’t work. Dangerous! As it wasted so much of my time that I missed my deadline. Absolutely no support and wayy overpriced for what it doesn’t even do. Can’t believe I almost bought their full product for PC

ightmare to re subscribe. I recently had a debit card canceled because of fraudulent transactions, which means every single subscription has to be given the new card info. This was one that came due before I could get to it, and it is an absolute nightmare simply trying to navigate the app and the site and customer service just to give them the new credit card information. Looking for an easier dictation app.

The Real Situation. I am a fan of my dragon dictation software for my computer... however, this App is ridiculously bad. Seriously, the ability to use this app on an IPad is impossible. Also, I tried to call and have a discussion with their help desk... this was an experience all to itself. It seems like a trick to just get you to pay the fee as there is no real intention or desire for this app to work. Makes me think this app is really not part of Nuance Dragon... I encourage you to get the computer software - its lovely... almost weird how well it can adapt to your voice and unique words of your business. I highly discourage you from buying this app... it does not work.

Caveat Dictor. What I sent to Nuance after the 7-day trial... Dragon Anywhere is the WRONG PRODUCT because your CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! After using Dragon Medical for years, I am astonished at how DA tech and customer service is so bad. I called on day 7 of my free trial to find out why it had been shut off when trying to link to Evernote Premium. Instead of getting the program working, I was given the same phone number and told it was about to expire the next day in their country instead of USA timeline. I had no access as of day 4 of 7. Discovering that Dragon Anywhere recognizes only my voice instead of transcribing a meeting on Evernote makes this the liront product for my needs.

Very disappointed in nuance software. I could not be more disappointed with the amount of time I spent trying to get this app to work. Calling technical support was an unfortunate encounter as well, since I just got handed off and hung up on. I really wanted this dictation solution to work, but it didn’t. I paid for a one year subscription and after 30 days the app consistently told me my subscription has expired, and stopped working, just when I needed it!

Slightly disappointed. I have to admit, I’m not the fastest typist in the world hence, I look for any support that I can get for documentation which led me to trialing the dragon anywhere app. I have been underwhelmed by its accuracy compared with its sister product - the medical dragon dictate software (which I love!). Mind you, I’ve been using the dragon anywhere for non-clinical dictations however, in comparison to medical dragon, dragon anywhere’s “out of the box” accuracy is sadly lacking resulting in me spending an inordinate amount of time making corrections and training. Still not giving up, will keep trying...

Phenomenal!. Standard voice-to-text on a smart phone is limited to short phrases. This was not conducive for writing reports or the script for an educational program. I was also not able to master the complexities of a handheld digital voice recorder. Dragon Anywhere is an excellent solution for me. Now I can use "downtime" to make progress. Thank you for an excellent product!

Near perfect recognition. I have been using voice recognition over many years and I am thrilled that there is now a voice to text application on my iOS devices that is nearly perfect with easy uploads to Word,DropBox, and as an email. Recognizes conversation and technical words.

Dragon Anywhere and IPad Pro. I am extremely happy with the setup that I was able to configure with Dragon Anywhere and my new IPad Pro. The fact that I can use a split window on the IPad allows me to read documents and make commentary that goes to text on Dragon at the same time. It allows me to use one tablet and do everything with it. I love it!

A Shadow of the Real Deal. If you are used to using the desktop version of Dragon; especially if you have a dictation mic, do not expect anywhere near the same level of accuracy on the app. I cannot say if it is the lower quality phone mic or if the cloud-based diction capabilities are less potent then their desktop version, but the app is simply not in the same class. It may be better than Siri; but it’s accuracy is too poor to be a time saving productivity booster (which the desktop version most definitely is). The number of and degree of the errors make it impossible for even me to decipher the original intent - and I’m the one doing the dictating! TLDR: Not Worth It

Product is decent; Customer service isn’t. First off, I really find this product helpful. However, trying to keep subscriptions and log in passwords consistent has been a royal pain. For example, I resubscribed in March for a year. It took two weeks to get a password that would work so I could use the app. Tried to use it yesterday (May 31), and I got a message that I was no longer subscribed! Wait a minute! I just paid a full year, and their system can’t figure that out?!

SCAM. Beyond horrible...Trial doesn’t work. I made the basic account, and after signing up for the trial which will auto renew the app started up. Return Then you touch the microphone and it will say retrieving subscription information. Then it said something about my subscription being made in Europe (nope)... and popped up a dialogue with a box same to get help. Clicking that box brings you to a website that doesn’t help you. Eventually called voice. The person started taking my information and wanting my phone number and seemed clueless what we were even talking about and I realized this was a dead app.

Caught in a loop and unable to try. I tried to sign up for the free trial, and got caught up in a glitch loop where it asks to confirm my email address > i click confirm > it tells me an account already exists > and the loop repeats. I never get to move forward beyond that. I signed up late evening of the 19th and was informed that my account will be charged on the 26th unless i cancel. That means i don’t really get a free week trial offered but rather only 6 day trial (20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th). I cancelled less than 15 minutes after trying to sign up.

Like an abandoned app. Can’t even manage to log in . Payment was accepted and then I was unable to log in on my phone , even after several resets of password and then I even paid again with a new email- and same problem . Error message said that I have no access to the service . Complete fail . And of course support is only available via phone Monday through Friday 9-5. That does not help my work flow . I am moving on.

Terrible. This app is complete and total garbage. The app easily allowed me to subscribe at a price of almost $15/month. However, that’s where ease of use ended. I am unable to access the service to see if it is in any way worthwhile... error after error after error. I’ve cancelled the subscription, and I’ve requested a refund from Apple. Apple should remove the app from the App Store until Nuance ensures functionality (which seems unlikely per the years-long trend in customer reviews).

Trying it out!. I have worked with it one day now. This is part of my week's free trial. The word recognition is quite good but it still takes a lot of time and effort to clean up the punctuation and spelling at times. I am reasonably happy with it and I believe it is worth the expense of $15 a month. If you use it quite a bit. Right now I will give it a four star rating. In a month or two after much more use I will see what I think then.

Seems like a scam. They are offering a week trial but to get the free trial you have to subscribe to the monthly subscription. There is an note that states that you forfeit your free trial once you choose to subscribe. See the catch 22? You really don't get a weekly trial because you have subscribed to the monthly. I don't mind purchasing items that I enjoy but I don't like being tricked out of my money. If you are offering me a chance to try your product for free, live up to your end of the deal. If you are confident that your product will meet all expectations you will make money.

Can’t get the subscription to work!!!. I have had nothing but problems with this app...I can’t get it to work, and it tells me that the subscription I PAID for has an invalid order number. There is absolutely NO SUPPORT, which is appalling for an app that costs $15 a month. I sent them a note a week ago, and so far I’ve had no response. I can’t find alternate apps that work as well as this, but so far I’m having no luck getting it even installed. Now I have two subscriptions, one through their site and one through the App Store, and neither one works. BEWARE! They take your money and offer NO SUPPORT.

Dragon is ABANDONING Mac users. Awful app, and not likely to improve; Nuance FULLY abandoned their Mac desktop platform without notice in October 2018, so look elsewhere unless you want to hit the end of this road too. Nuance’s Customer Service is pandering and limp. I’d given up on this app because it was glitchy, crashing frequently, and lost data easier than flushing a USB stick down a loo. This no-better-than-Siri (when it runs) app isn’t remotely worth a $15 subscription, nor your time. HINT: Open your General/Keyboard settings and enable dictation, and notepad and sync to iCloud & you’ll thank me later.

Worst version yet. I have been using Dragon since version 3 in the late nineties. The dictation quality had been getting steadily better from one version to the next until this new subscription-based version came out. It is much more expensive and barely works. Whole sentences are simply skipped over and simple words are misspelled. I have come to rely on Dragon to do my work, both personal and professional and I am furious with what has happened with this product. It takes me twice as long as it used to since I spend so much time correcting ridiculous errors. This product is an utter dud. Nuance should be ashamed of themselves.

Can’t believe i didn’t buy this sooner!. I write novels. This saves so much time by typing for me I can focus in my creativity n my scenes are better because you are speaking outloud. I sent the docs via email, save in word n paste in scriver. Great way to save time and work from anywhere!

Used it before, but not working well now. I've used Dragon since 1994 on and off. I had Dragon Anywhere last year and it was working well. I just reupped for a month and immediately am having problems where I speak and it stops mid-sentence, it doesn't parse “period” and it is not keeping up with my steady pace of speaking that Dragon has worked with for over 2 decades. I’m pretty sure it's not me. Native New Yorker using the apple headset on both iPad Pro and iPhone S.E. something is up with the software. If I have to keep repeating myself, I may as well get my money back.

Can not order from website. I am a big fan of Dragon Naturally Speaking and have been using it for years. But Nuance decided to stop supporting it on IMacs. So would like to get for my iPad. But, tonight there is no way to place an order on its website. Last night same problem, but after. 15 minutes a pop up out of no where let me install. Bit then it required an ID and password which was bizarre. Finally got thru to support . But we got cut off and whenI tried to promptly get back was told no support since after 8:00. So I tried again tonight and did not even get that far

Glitchy and doesn’t understand me. Siri dictates better. I’ve tried calling technical support and he told me that it must be me that other people don’t have this problem and most people love it. I am dictating this to Siri and she seems to understand me better. I’ve tried to call and cancel for my seven day free trial before and I was told I didn’t cancel in time which was the day of the seventh so and then they wouldn’t refund my money unless I called somebody else. Terrible and not impressed use Siri instead.

ABANDONWARE. This is ABANDONWARE. Do not buy. If when this app opened, it did nothing but show a looping GIF of someone giving me the finger, it would be better than it is now. For almost 3 years I enjoyed paying $15/month for the subscription. But since Nuance announced in October that they have given up support for Mac products, this app has been plagued with bugs, and the customer support is non-existent. It doesn't work now, giving error message "CANNOT RECOVER SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION" followed by a URL link to iTunes which shows my Dragon Anywhere subscription is ACTIVE and AUTO-RENEWING. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I logged in and logged out of iTunes. Nothing fixed the problem. I called Nuance customer support. They did no trouble-shooting with me. Their first (and only) answer was to tell me that I should call Apple for support. I wasted 2 hours of my life trying to resuscitate the corpse of their product. I would have preferred it if they had just told me up front that is was dead.

Poor tech support. The product started out great, but crashed shortly after loading. Unresponsive tech support. Very disappointing. Cannot recommend for iPhone use. mehta Updated review: A new App release solved the problem and the software is back working the way it should. I am once again pleased with the product. It would have been much better customer service if the developer and tech support had simply said “we have a problem and are working on a new release which should resolve the issue.” Tech updates, rather than frustrated customer calls, would have led to a much more satisfactory outcome.

Use Siri instead.. I’ve used a few versions of dragon and this was pretty bad. Didn’t recognize common words and did poorly with medical jargon. Siri does a better job for sure. There is also not a good way to get the text onto a PC from the phone (contrast with nuance power mic) I had a hard time pairing with Evernote and when I did finally get it to work it was awkward and slow to update dictations. Deleted the app before free subscription was up.

Steep learning curve but the best quality dictation for iPhone. It took me several weeks to get through the learning curve and figure out all the arbitrary commands and workarounds. But it’s an amazing dictation system overall, which lets you dictate even technical documents. I’m also impressed with the ability to integrate files and macros into your dictation.

M1 Mac version. It would really be optimal if this software were available for users on M1 Macs also. I like to be productive using both my iPhone, iPad, and computer. This product really only works optimally on the phone. I would be interested in knowing if it will be optimized on the other Mac products if not I probably will plan on stopping my subscription.

Major Evolutionary Glitches…. Update: Dragon still hasn’t fixed the “tab” bug!!!!!! Come on people this is basic UX… “Tab” is one of the command words, used to indent. When I say “tab, the program spells the word TAB. Language recognition 101: Bracket your meaning. Dragon, I’m a writer, hire me parenthesis I’m broke parenthesis. (Using “parentheses” above as an example of the software’s lack of adaptive language recognition.) —Miles Strucker Update/response to owner response: can reconfirm that saying “tab” spells tab, rather than creating an indent on a regular basis.

Stuck in subscription / login. I cannot cancel my subscription nor register as a new customer ; stuck on page subscribe/ sign in, no help available, sign in fails, subscription was canceled supposedly but not really?!? How can I get out of this? I want to either be able to register or just get out ! Dragon needs to review their first time user flow, it’s so frustrating. I want to make sure either my subscription was canceled or be able to pass the sign in page!!

Pretty Good. This app is very adept at voice to text, but it’s buggy; it often jumps to a paragraph other than the one you’re working in — and adds your dictation where you don’t want it. Then you have to cut and paste those lines to the proper place in your document. Were it not for this, I’d give it 5 stars.

Terrible. Didn't transcribe reliably, couldn't handle background noise, and when I tried to use my Bluetooth headset, it stupidly continued using the iPhone's built-in mic. I would pay $100 outright for a dictation app that was highly accurate, had good, reliable editing features, and worked properly with a BT headset. Suffice to say, I will *not* be paying $15 a month for this app. It takes less time and energy to simply recollect my thoughts later when I can write them down myself.

IPad Pro problems. It works well on my iPhone, but there is no audio input on my iPad pro. About six months ago, it worked fine. I’m not sure if it’s the latest update to Dragon anywhere, or the iOS update. Regardless, the microphone does not pick up any audio. Very frustrating. On another note, I wish they would make a dragon keyboard instead. That way I would be able to dictate directly into applications. I’m not sure why this is so hard when other apps like Grammarly and Google keyboard are able to do this.

Paid $40, received no product. If I could give the app zero stars I would. I ordered a 3 mo. Subscription a week ago for $40 and I still don’t have any access to the app. When I try to sign in, it says I don’t have a license. I check my order number and it’s been active since a week ago. I wrote customer service and they didn’t even read my email, sent me advice that was completely useless then ignored me. My service still isn’t active, so I paid for nothing.

Why so complicated?. I cancelled immediately because there was no way to advance beyond signing in. I selected subscribe, chose my plan, updated my payment information. From there it said I was complete and took me back to the sign in page where my options were to sign in or subscribe. Since I had not created a profile, I had nothing to sign in with so I tried my Apple ID which it did not accept. Next, I tried to just enter my email and use the forgot password option. That did not work either. It may be a great app, I just wouldn’t know. One star for making it so difficult to get in.

I love it!. I experience quadriplegia and dragon is a lifesaver for me. Typing a text with your tongue is not sanitary, and everyone around you gets uncomfortable real quick. While it is not perfect, it is by far superior to the capability available on the iPhone. I do wish you could bring back deleted items to avoid having to dictate them all over again. Still though, I love it.

Read current reviews before buying. This could be the worst app I have ever used. The dictation transcription was mostly fine, but the app lost the connection to dropbox. Impossible to reconnect. I emailed support – no response. That makes sense considering most of the reviews for the last year or two are 1 or 2 stars. Until the recent problems with the app, I used the service regularly. I finally gave up and canceled my subscription. Way to go Dragon - you lost a formerly loyal customer.

Do not subscribe within the App!. Do not subscribe within the app, do not run the trial at Nuance and then subscribe within the app—Naunce simply can not make the subscription run properly. Repeated issues with microphone access cut off as ‘Subscription expired’. Basic Nuance tech support appears to be working from a script and unable to handle anything that is not very basic. They left my subscription running while unable to provide an update—or ETA on an update— to fix the ‘subscription expired’ error. When it works the app is awesome, too bad I had to cancel due to the tech issues.

This app is worthless. I never write reviews. I don't have the time. Hence needing a good dictation software. I signed up for the trial, knowing about the 20 second limit but figuring I could just stop talking and turn the mic back on. 20 seconds: Popup: "Are you sure you want to log out?". Choose no. Continue dictating. 20 seconds: app refreshes. All dictation gone. Not saved anywhere. Reading the reviews, it seems this has happened to a few people. If you're just dictating stuff you don't care about, fine. But if you're a professional who needs their work to not vanish, don't bother with this app.

Total frustration. It works well for about 30 seconds, then no longer will except dictation. The only way to get it to work is to turn my iPad off, and turn it back on, and other words complete reboot. Then it works for another 30 seconds and then stops. I called technical support, they could not get it working either. I guess I’m stuck with Siri, which is at least reliable, but not that accurate. Dragon naturally speaking that I use for my PC works great. This product is a total dud. Now I have to wrestle with the company to try to get my subscription canceled.

Do NOT order from them!. They are a horrible, horrible and unethical company. I ordered a one year subscription with them through Apple Pay, and was charged $141. When I went to use the program, it said my subscription had expired, even though the App’s Settings said my subscription was good for the year. Two weeks and 9 phone calls later, I have only gotten the complete run around from rude and arrogant phone reps, and I am still locked out. No apologies, no solution to my problem, and no follow up. I wound up having to cancel my subscription through Apple Pay. Do not give your business to this most dishonest and uncaring organization.

Regular Subscription Problems. After spending five hours in January 2021 resolving a problem in accessing the program. I started over paid a new subscription, losing over two dozen documents. I subscribed on January 30, 2021 for a 12 month subscription, auto renew. I just received here on November 15, 2021 I noticed that my microphone has been disabled and I can no longer dictate, because my subscription has expired. I am now in to my second hour dealing with the very nice people in the Philippines who have not been given the tools or the technology to handle a simple question like this.

Works great when it works. But customer support is lacking, though they try. Nuance should realize that spending hours on the phone trying to resolve login issues due to erroneous “expiration” notices (perhaps due to manner of subscribing) negates the productivity gain the app provides. They should also realize that those calls are only made when there is a problem, usually associated with deadlines or other work stress, and dealing with heavily accented customer support is NOT the way to go. I’ve had service interruption 4x on my monthly subscription in two years. Goodbye!! Try Microsoft Office 365. Very accurate, saves directly in program or app and in One Drive. Needs work with verbal editing commands, but I can edit later and not have to deal with a non-working product on a regular basis.

Best app. I am a huge fan of this app, it saves me a lot of time entering data. I run workshops where participants write their ideas, etc. on post it notes, and it is a huge time saver to ‘speak’ the info into Dragon. The transcription is quite accurate- and I am finding more uses for it daily. I recently connected the app with Evernote, and that works well so far (a couple bumps setting it up, but it works!)

It’s like they don’t want you to buy this. Registered for free trial. Can’t even try cuz it won’t connect (full bars). Error message says “an error occurred.” No details. No emails. Nada. Reading all the reviews (sort by most recent), and all have similar issues. All are 1-star. A generic dev response is appended to some. But it’s like there’s no one home. Not sure if there is any dev support still for this. Super weird. Was happy to try this and pay for it. But oh well, this sub is canceled before it starts.

Give it a shot, it really does work better than Siri. The subscription is a little bit steep, but for long-form dictation (such as outlining and case briefs in law school), it truly is, much better than Siri. With the addition of auto-text, it can be very helpful. Two things I wish could be added: 1) the the app could be used as a third-party keyboard, that way I could use it in any app that I wanted; and 2) the auto-text supported rich text formatting (e.g., bold, underlining, etc.).

Subscription process is terrible. I bought my subscription from Nuance’s website first and then got the app here (per their instructions). When I attempt to log on in the app, the app doesn’t recognize my u/password combo. When I try to use the password retrieval tool in the app, I get a server not available message. You also can’t get a new subscription using your same old email address/account so eating the 1st $15 is not an option. I’ve written support twice to get this resolved. Their response was to tell me to reset at the store (which I did), but the fix didn’t work. Pretty frustrating. At this point, I am moving back the free but not as good option from the other OS because I am burning time when I could be earning. The same complaint is posted up and down the reviews. My advice: look elsewhere until they fix this.

Does NOT support folk with accents. I have lived in United States for over 30 years but was originally from New Zealand. I have a very light New Zealand accent. Dragon dictation software is easily the worst dictation program I have ever used; even Apple does a better job of understanding accents than dragon. After using dragon for several months, I can say with confidence that it has never accurately completed a single sentence of my speech. Apple and other dictation programs are far superior to Dragon. If you have a flat nasal Midwest accent, congratulations - dragon is for you. If you have any other accent at all, good luck! very disappointed and dragons lack of acuity to accents, diversity

iPad Pro Non-functional, IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND HELP. When it works, Dragon is a wonderful app. Often it doesn’t work, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to navigate their support website or contact their support department reliably. The app simply stopped functioning on my IPad Pro (microphone icon turns green and spins like it’s processing, but never actually transcribes text). I can’t figure out how to fix it, and I cannot reach anyone at Dragon to help. Get used to that experience if you purchase this app. Sky-high happy when it works; crushing frustration when it doesn’t.
